Tested only on cm11 nightlies and fxp builds. For stock rom, it must be tested (i don't use it !). Works also on Z1 device.
There was some errors on stereo speaker and mic recorder ! now fixed (There is no stereo speaker on Z1 C or Z1 device)
Some values increased : speaker, mic => 90 / call samplerate => 16000
Video Recorder very smooth => 60 fps
If you don't like it, just delete it ! (Always make a backup before)
May i ask what kind of error that was? I'm on CM11 nightly (Z1C) too and my mic level in calls (especially on speakerphone) got very low for some reason. almost to the point where the other end wasn't able to understand anything. I have yet to test if it might have been fixed already or if it is a hw-fault on my device. From the changelogs I can't see anything related.
Also: is this a fix that is about to be merged into the nightlies?
Thanks so far,
Greetz, Unr3aL67

There is no audio routing therefore no sound during calls as it can't route the audio between the input & output speakers/mic
Has biel stopped working on cm9 ?
And hnkotnis , months ago he said he will realese in 1-2 days.

There is cm11 for galaxy y - that has also stopped as cm12 has taken over but galaxy y cannot support cm12 until art is compatible with armv6 - currently all attempts have failed
Ok but can I fix the sound using Reincardio or Viper4android ?
Or can i try moving soundlibs from cm11/cm7 to cm9 ?

You will probably need to build your own alsa audio drivers & a new kernel
I heared that poweramp will fix it do you know about that ?

Iv explained the problem and what you need to do
A music app isn't going to help you with audio routing
You need to build an alsa audio lib & kernel from source
Unless you have extensive coding knowledge forget it
but it does fix headphones isn't it ?
What is Encoder (hantro)
Hi, just bought mi a1 and the phone seems perfect, except for a REALLY annoying issue: I pretty much can't listen to Whatsapp audio when I put the phone close to my ears, just like I always did with my old S3 neo, and it was perfect there. Whatsapp is updated to latest version by the way , and it gave no problems on the older phone. Can it be a software issue? Because if it's the hardware I'm probably going to to a refund, considering this is one of the most important features for me.
Thanks
Im pretty sure the audio you are trying to listening to is not of respectable quality... try playing some other audio which plays well on other devices too, and maybe some other apps too like YouTube...
No you understood it wrong, I meant that maybe the proximity sensor fails or the problem is software
Its working absolutely fine for me! No issues listening whatsapp audio from the earpiece.
Proximity sensor is working like a charm!
The thing is, when I listen an audio and put my ears on the proximity sensor it touches the screen or I exits the mode and uses speaker.. maybe cause I've got long hair? Lol hope it's a software problem
BTW, audio calls work perfectly
i have the same problem, only in the left ear the sensor worked fine the whatsapp audio.. i dont now why
Working fine..

That's strange that audio calls works perfectly.
But anyway try to recalibrate your light and proximity sensors:
Dial in *#*#6484#*#*
Select ALS/PS (ambient light sensor/proximity sensor)
Recalibrate
I'm having the same problem. I factory reseted my phone, and for an hour or so, it was working fine. But after a while the problem returned. Does anyone have a fix ? Is it a hardware issue or a software issue? Thanks a bunch!
Btw edit : it's happening with audio calls as well .
Is there any app to record the internal sound? Root or any thing? With screen record or sound only,
and tell me if it's working with Bluetooth headphones
Thanks
You can try air audio wich is really great, need a magisk module so root is needed. But be warned that it cant both record and output sound, so when you record no sound will came out of any device connected or internal speakers

Thanks for the find! Been using an external mic screen recorder. This is something I've been trying to find for months or more! Much appreciated and surprising that I didn't run into that during my months of searching lol
The subject should say it all. I have two PH-1s which are in remarkable condition for their ages, but need a ROM that works well with WhatsApp and Telegram calls using the speaker.
Lineageos 18 seems to have this issue, and working through other threads, I can't identify a ROM that has it fixed. Thank you.

This is partially fixed on DivestOS, as mata is my personal daily driver.
The situation is:
- phone call audio is garbled until you toggle speaker for the first call after booting
- loud speaker volume cannot be adjusted
- microphone however works
I've spent many hours trying to narrow down this issue to no avail. It is a sad bug, because otherwise this is largely a great device.
Here is the upstream issue report:
Microphone issues (noisy, low volume) on speaker mode (#2209) · Issues · LineageOS / issues / android · GitLab
Expected Behavior Microphone audio should be clear when on speaker mode. Current Behavior

Seems no derived from PHHussons' GSI ROMs, like Corvus, Octavi, DotOS have such issues. Actually the first too are nearly OEM quality.
This ROM seems to have fixed most issues that I faced in the past, including the mic bug. Unofficial LineageOS 18.1
