So I tried to unlock my phone through my carrier, att, and they were willing to to do it but they said the imei was bad. So I just thought they messed up. Then I payed 5 bucks to get it unlocked on a site and they said my imei is also bad. I have a lg g2 att and currently I have twrp and stock debloated rom loaded. If it matters I've flashed many many Roms on this phone. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated
Is this weird or what? Has anyone had there imei possibly changed from flashing Roms? I did a total return to stock and it still shows the same iemi( that att does not show as a lg g2). Has anyone had this problem before. Thanks

I purchased LG G2 D800 (32gb) locked to AT&T network. I wanted to unlock it with a code and tried various webstites - 3 of them replied that they cannot offer any support, 2 emailed me back with an unlock code. Codes from those 2 different websites were the same, however it did not work - I now have the last attempt left to unlock it. I tried through one of the 'shops' as well, but they couldn't help either. Can you please advise if you have a reliable way of unlocking or obtaining a code for unlocking? Is there any other way to unlock this phone? Maybe at least a way of bringing the count of tries back to 1? I also tried ringing AT&T but they could not help, as I did not have an account with them - I'm stuck.
Thanks for any help or suggestions you may have,
Problem with unlocking LG G2 D800
please help!
Anybody know if I can lgup uppercut flash the H918 stock Rom to the Sprint LS997ZVC??? I have read a comment that I found saying something that LS997ZVC is ARB1 and if I'm gonna flash a room to it, it has to have an equivalent ARB1 rom?. I order a TMobile variant LG V20 from Amazon and they freaking sent me a Sprint Variant.... I took the phone to Sprint and they said the device is network unlocked but when I try TMobile Sim with the correct Tmo APN(fast.tmobile.com blah blah) in the phone it doesn't even work. TMobile even says the phone should be able to work on their network but it's "up to Sprint".... WTH... I have read the US996 to LS997 thread but the guy had no signal ability at all after flashing due to that the us996 flashed into the wrong partitions. I even tried eBay for a network unlock code but they say the phone is already unlocked.. WTH man.
Can someone help and guide me through this?
No, you can't flash the H918 KDZ onto your phone. The RSA key in the CPU is different -- you will have a 9008 brick.
Your phone doesn't work on T-Mobile's network because Sprint is run by a bunch of assholes and they deliberately lockout the bands that you need via the modem firmware. Since your phone is ARB 1, you can't root it currently to fix it.
Sorry -- return it to Amazon if they sent you the wrong phone.

AH BUMMER!. Oh well, İ appreciate you taking your time to reply bro. Thanks
Hey everyone, So i used the unlock method of flashing the LS993 to the Canadian version to unlock the device. I thought this would fix it however now I cannot pick up anything when using Boost (device was originally a Boost mobile Device) does anyone know how to revert back to stock? or should I just try to brick the phone completely and send it to LG for a warranty repair? thanks
UPDATE

UPDATE: got it fixed had to take it into sprint and they were able to reflash it back to stock and its working perfectly again.
I've bought a used LG g6 H873 that's stuck on nougut.
this g6 is supposed to be a Canadian version so i was thinking what firmware i download as my phone is bloat free with no randon apps but just lg.
all firmware i find were named as rogers, etc so i tried lg software but that didn't recognize my phone.
than i tried to search with IMEI and it came as an sprint variant. now have tried multiple site's with IMEI and all says i have ls sprint variant... confused and worried what will happen if i go and flash h873 Canadian Oreo, because there's no ls sprint firmware to be found anywhere to roll back.
Use LG Up find the version you need should work for you.

as I've already said, "i have tried lg software" it didn't recognized my phone.
Then possibly it is the drivers you have installed need to be changed. Try changing those.

Your phone probably had a blacklisted IMEI, and so the person your bought it from took the IMEI from a Sprint G6 and slapped it on.
LG Update uses the IMEI along with various other information to determine what version it should apply. Since it doesn't recognize your phone, that makes sense, as there will be mismatches.
Even if it was a Sprint phone, you are safe flashing H873 firmware (all G6s can cross flash except the H872)

thanks Brian, i actually found the culprit, apparently this phone is not Frankenstein but a normal sprint phone that was flashed to a non branded Canadian firmware.
so i went ahead and just flashed the 8.0 of Canadian G6 GSM firmware and it went fine without issues and now i'm on Oreo.
So I picked up this old flagship budget phone and I was having no service at all. I tried resetting the phone, and reconfiguring APN settings, scanning for networks, but nothing worked.
So I did some research, and it turns out I was told I was getting the US996 (factory unlocked) version which is compatible with all carriers. But when I look under the battery, it says LS997 instead. But when I look at the software settings, it says Software Version US99610p. The seller must have flashed the US996 firmware onto an LS997 (Sprint) phone.
So at this point, I'm pretty sure I got scammed, and the sad part is this phone isn't refundable. I thought maybe if I could somehow get this phone off the US996 firmware and back to the LS997 firmware it originally came with, I'd have no problems. My carrier is Sprint as well.
But the sad part is, there's no LS997 KDZ's which I could just flash, since Sprint, unlike other carriers, does not release KDZ's.
So at this point, what are my options? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Not sure if this is of much help, but if I were you I would unlock the bootloader and just flash a custom rom.

I thought of that, but should I use the LS997 method or the US996 method to unlock?
Honestly Im not too sure since I have a H918 and none of those, Take my info with a grain of salt as I might be wrong, I think that the firmware update partition is not a part of the OS so you may be able to get away using the LS997 method?
