Anyway to take a photo with more than 10 seconds exposure? tweaking the stock camera or using other app... i tried an older version of camera fv-5 with 20 seconds long exposure but it only allows 2.1 MP (1920x1080) but the latest version limits that long exposure to only 10 seconds with full resolution (12MP - 4032x3024).
Regards!

Can't we increase the exposure time in the camera's night mode? The original is 1/2 sec, which is short...
Can we modify the camera driver to allow more exposure time?
Otherwise, what controls the exposure time, ISO...? It depends on the camera hardware or the software?
I tried to play with long exposure and realized my VZW HTC 10 show the regular settings up to 2 seconds for shutter speed. But after snapping photos I realized that it wasn't actually going the full seconds and was ending the capture much earlier.
The details of the photo all say 1 second for any photo taken longer than 1 second. Does this happen to anyone else?
EDIT: Just realized I posted it in the wrong section. Sorry!
Any ideas on how to "hack" the shutter speed on oneplus 5?I want over 30 seconds of shutter speed to do a simple star trail since there appears to be no camera apps that can take photos automatically every 30 seconds (I'd still want to go over 30 seconds). I heard the oneplus 1 had a 64 second shutter speed max, I'd want to do the same.
How about taking a video and merging all the frames into a single image. Don't know how this would be done but I'm pretty sure it's possible.
I'm rooting my device then enabled cam2api on this device in order to get the ability to manually adjust the camera parameter setting (ISO, shutter speed, etc) and after the cam2api is enabled i got acces to the manual setting (i also verify this using Manual Camera Compatibility app and the test result showed that it worked)
I installed and try different camera app such as camera fv-5, dslr camera, etc (basically any camera app that has manual camera setting) and i found it when i set my shutter speed more then 5 second, if i take a picture it will freeze up the camera app (no matter what the app i use), though in the camera app i can set the shutter speed to maximum 10 second
My question :
1. Is this bug or hardware limitation?
2. Anyone know what is the maximum shutter speed for this device? (I'm planning for doing long exposure photography using this device camera)
3. Does anyone know the other minimum and maximum camera parameter from this device? (ISO, apperture)
Thanx for u'r answer
I have used Camera FV-5 Lite without root...it gave me shutter speed of upto 60 seconds...the camera would not freeze too....it's good but light streaks are not smooth....there is also a camera developer option if you click the red eye button several times...there in the manual user settings you can put manually 10000 milliseconds or 10 seconds...but in my 4Gb variant & .337 update it was only 340 milliseconds or 1/3 rd second...and a 6 GB variant with .326 update it was 500 milliseconds...and with 3Gb variants it's 10000 milliseconds or 10 seconds with latest update as I heard...ASUS phones are reacting differently in different variants and different updates..it seems that 3Gb variant is the strongest in camera department....it's funny and surprising.... I am attaching a photo taken with Cam FV-5 Lite and the manual settings comparison...moreover ISO of 4gb and 6 GB is upto 1550 whereas in 3Gb variant it is upto 1600. Please share your views. And ASUS I don't know what are you upto? In Hedge Camera in fireworks mode and 100 ISO it's giving decent slow shutter speed but not always..Alas I am also attaching a photo of hedge cam.
Heii...is there any way to take long exposure shots like iphone (motion photo to long exposure) pixel has (motion mode on gcam in 6 and 6 pro)
Is there any method to take such photo .
Yes !
Go camera -professional mode-use tripod and set timer 3 set iso and shutter 4-8 sec
No ,I mean software trick.
To take such in light sorrodings too,as iphones live photo converted to long exposure and pixel motion mode also in same way.is there any such way
