Im using the Canadian version of the 6p and want to downgrade back to 7.0 and or 6.0.1. There are 4 or 5 different ones listed. Im currently on NPF10C.
There is no Canadian version. Use 6.0.1 MTC20L or 7.0 NBD90X. Those are the latest available.

Can i just flash that over 7.1.1 and not loose data?
If you don't flash userdata.img
I would not recommend dirty flashing.
Backup your stuff, and clean flash when switching major versions (ie. 7.1.1 to 6.0.1, etc.)

Hi,
So I have an Australian SM-N910G running 5.1.1, and I want to get MM as it has been released for the Indian version of the SM-N910G. Reports have said there is no issues. If I were to do this, would I flash the 5.1.1 Indian firmware and update or am I able to just flash the 6.1.1 firmware over my stock 5.1.1 Australian firmware?

You just need to flash the Marshmallow firmware. I'm in a similar situation, have a N910C on 5.1.1, UAE version, about to flash 6.0.1 using the Poland N910C firmware.
can it be done without bootloader upgrade ??? and is a downgrade possible after that ?
The indian 6.0.1 MM firmware can be odin flashed over your existing 5.1.1 firmware without upgrading your bootloader.
You can still downgrade back to 5.1.1 after you flashed the MM firmware.
Well, I have the A2017 unlocked, TWRP and running B29 MM (US firmware).
I want to update to Nougat but I would prefer the US firmware also.
Can I just flash B15 (Nougat) and be done with it?
Can you share your experience with flashing B15? Did you do it?
I have a Chinese Axon 7 on Android 6.0.1 US software.
You have install bootstack first.
J510FQ update came. Official stock 7.1.1 I am using firmware, I would like to return to firmware 6.0 How do I do with my odin?
I am currently on the latest 8.0 release, ATT fw, loaded from SD card recovery, and want to flash the unlocked firmware, mainly to remove bloatware and enable hotspot.
Is there an XAA firmware download for 8.0 or do I download the December 7.0 and downgrade to that, then use an update.zip to get back to 8.0?
Thanks

As long as the firmware number is the same or higher, yes. You may need a custom version of ODIN that doesn't check the OS on the device, but any US model can run any US version of firmware. I converted mine a short while after I bought it and it's been running 935U firmware ever since. I would warn you that you can't downgrade the bootloader, but in this case the A firmware is almost invariably more recent than the U firmware so this isn't an issue. (That said, you will have to run firmware built around BL8 or later if you do the upgrade)
