hope someone can fix this. then we can have a custom rom
tried it for ze520kl. stuck at boot as well.
I think these roms are specifically built for asian versions. Saw in the build prop Z012DA instaead of just Z012D.

I tried that rom, device stops at Asus logo, but now i have problem when trying to update with OTA zip ,it says in recovery that my phone is "omni_ze520kl and not WW_phone" and it ends installation at that point. Any ideas how to fix it?

Try the method from post 3 in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3/how-to/hard-brick-asus-zenfone-3-ze520kl-t3483874
I had a similar issue, the above fixed it. It basically stops TWRP from checking that its ROM and phone are compatible

This worked for me as well. After the flash there were about 4 OTA updates to install. I had to set the region before they would install (mine did an update rebooted after I set the region) :
3. Go to the lenovo contacts manager. Create a dummy contact if the list is empty.
4. Go to Search / Find Contacts and enter ####6020#. It will ask you to select country code (first two latin letters, ignore Chinese).

Will work with ComputerFreak's tweaked stock Marshmallow? That is, if it's a system patch, and not the whole ROM.

If you flash this, it will erase whatever rom you currently have installed. The TWRP package contains the whole rom.
Are you asking if the OTA is compatible with it? I doubt it. I had a stock-ish setup that only had updated emojis, and the update failed on it.

Has anyone flash this new modem on the Droid Turbo xt1254 Resurrection Remix of bhb27 's?
Bumpn gums from my vzw DROID Turbo xt1254
works fine with BHb27 kernel and Crdroid Rom! Thanks
Flashed the kernel & modem to CFs tweaked stock via TWRP 3020. Got no wifi, network is fine. Any thoughts?
Hi everyone, today I will be telling you all how to get back to stock as long as your bootloader states "PHONE Unlocked" and "FRP Unlock"
You will need to install this, this is super duper important! https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
When installing, you will see the error: "E: Unknown command []]"
DO NOT BE AFRAID!
That is supposed to happen lol.
Installation procedure -
1. Flash this TWRP: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18uHjW73Th8iYKIs5m_QgwleMIOjsZd7S/view?usp=sharing
2. Wipe everything except SD card, then choose "Format data" to decrypt device
3. Reboot once again into TWRP (NOTE: If you are using USB OTG cable, make sure to plug it in AFTER TWRP is fully booted and ready to go, if you do it early, you get an error, which is weird lol. EDIT: Not sure if this error is still present in the new twrp, but it's never bad to play it safe.)
4. Flash HuRUpdater, make sure the file names are correct!
5. Reboot into stock recovery
6. Factory reset and wipe cache partition
7. Reboot
This method also enables themes to work again, so no need to worry about that!
Lots of thanks to @zxz0O0 to providing this awesome tool
And more thanks to the OpenKirin community for helping me out when flashing this! :good::good::good:

Yes, after flashing this via twrp, if you reboot once again to recovery, it is stock recovery, not twrp.
