I have installed pixel launcher, feels great but when I try to swipe left in the home screen I cannot get what is the google cards. Anyone also have this issue?

Do you mean that it doesn't let you swipe to the left at all? You need to install as a system app for the swipe to work
I flashed this one and I can see my cards when I swipe to the left.

Is it just me? Or is anyone else having problems with music controls on the new lock screen in 4.2. when I resume a song from play music in the lock screen the the camera gets mixed in with the lock screen and the volume goes to maximum for a second then returns to normal. Its done it a few times now.

Mine just covers the unlock button sometimes, just a new software thing, it will be fixed

I had this happen just a little bit ago at the gym. It almost seemed like it locked up. I was able to launch Google now and get to the main screen though. Hopefully they add an on/off button for the lock screen widgets, I won't ever use them so it would be nice to disable them.

Disable Lock Screen Camera and Widgets
Found an article by Droid Life about Lockscreen Policy, an app created by Chislon Chow.
Been using it for a couple days. It is free and seems to work perfectly fine. Did not even need root privilege. The effect is not "permanent" in that if you disable/freeze or uninstall it, the widgets come right back, and you'll have to reboot before they can be removed again.
Hi all
Apparently you can swipe between pages in chrome on nexus 7 but for the life of me I can't get this to work, anyone else have trouble doing this?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
Start from off screen and swipe in, otherwise it will think you are just trying to pan around the current page.
Yeah swipe from the very edge. Also you don't need to swipe. Just move your finger from the very edge towards the centre of the screen as fast or as slow as you like to swipe through multiple pages.

Nah not happening for me, think it's because mine is in a case and covers the edge

I say bin chrome and install the stock browser, go into settings>labs and switch on the quick controls. Really smart, it gives you full screen internet, and you get your controls by gently moving your finger in from outside of the screen border. It's really smart, and quick once you're used to it.
That and the fact that it loads pages noticeably a good bit faster than chrome...

Im used to chrome now.....kinda like it
This app lets you customize the soft keys more than stock LG does. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.janis605.softkeyz
It should let you add a Recents button etc. Lemme know if it works. Thanks

Didn't work for me.

Try UDN Pro. It gives you ability to customize the keys to a bunch of preselected icons, lets you set your own background to the soft keys, transparency, height, etc.
It also gives you the ability to hide the keys, and make them visible with just a swipe up from the bottom of the screen. It looks great.

Thanks for testing it. Did you happen to try UDN pro as the other posted mentioned?

Hmm...it works, however the bottom of screen gets covered up when you hide the stock navbar because the screen is not pushed up. This is obviously because I don't want the navbar to ever hide. If I could somehow offset the bottom of the screen somehow...

Can you make it transparent so they don't block anything on screen? I might actually like that better than a black bar offsetting the apps. Just a thought!

Oh I see what you mean. I'm trying it now on my nexus 4 just to test it. I guess that's why it defaults to a touch or swipe to make it appear, and it hides itself after X seconds or when you interact with the screen. I sure wish it could offset the screen. I wonder if you can keep the LG bar turned on, but remove all the buttons? Is that possible to keep the navbar offset?

I doubt you can remove all the buttons from the stock nav bar. I'll just stick with the stock navbar for now until we get some themes and such for it.
You need to root.
I am using GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys, it is pretty awesome. I bought it because it gives you a lot more features. It replaces the soft keys with the more normal Nexus keys (Back, Home, Recent). I have only been playing with it for about half a day and I am very happy with the features. Playing games, watching slingbox, reading kindle, watching mlb.tv all full 1080 hd is pretty much the tits.
Coming from a Note 1 where I had a nice capacitive button to activate search.
Really don't want to keep a widget on my home screen just to get to Google Now/Search, but can't figure out how to map a hardware button to it.
Help?
What about a custom launcher with user defined functions invoked by a gesture?

Ya, I suppose that fixes all my problems. I was trying to stick with touchwiz for once, but I've finally bit the bullet and went back to Nova.
Thanks

Something weird is going on with my Nexus 4, I woke up this morning and all my icon locations are back to front! What I mean is up the top where the symbols on the right hand side of the screen where battery, reception and Wifi symbols usually are, they're now on the left side and the 3 buttons on the bottom are inverted and back to front. I'll upload a couple of screen shots to help explain.
As you can see also when I go into settings everything is opposite too.
Even scrolling through my apps I have got to swipe from left to right!
Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Have u tried simply rebooting it/
Also, is ur N4 rooted?
Yes I have tried rebooting it several times and no it's not rooted. Also, the most annoying thing with this problem I forgot to mention is the 3 buttons on the bottom are not responsive either. I've turned on "show touches" in developer settings and it seems that the very bottom of the screen is not registering touches. If I want to use the buttons I have to flip screen to landscape and move the buttons to the top of the screen.

Maybe it's an accessibility option? Check in Settings>Accessibility.
If found any seem to solve your issue, the most sure way to solve it is to flash a factory image. Check out efrants guide.
