Hi, I have my Xperia X Compact since 2 days. I use my phone with a Huawei watch.
I noticed that the bluetooth swich off after 1-2 hours, and I can't reactivate it, I have to reboot the phone to have it.
Is it a know bug on the phone ? A problem with mine ? Have I to change the phone ?
Thanks
Yes, it's a pain in the neck bug. Check here:

Thanks, I will wait for an update ...

I updated the phone and the watch with the last version of firmware for both, and that's work
My watch is connecting to the phone since 1 day without any error.
I am having the same issue with a Moto 360 2nd Gen. It will randomly just turn off and the only way to solve is a reboot.
I have been having issues even on Nougat where my XC will have trouble connecting to the Mazda Connect system in my car. It will connect, then after a few seconds disconnect, and then I have to connect again. At that point, it seems to maintain a connection fairly well most of the time, but on occasion it will disconnect again. The car shows up as a bluetooth headset because Mazda used an older chip in it. I had no problems with my Z3C and would run fine for hours during long drives. I was hoping that there was some kind of power management or some setting causing this, but I haven't found anything that I can change to improve the situation. It just seems to be broken.
I´m sorry but i´ve to say that even with the latest FW this issue is NOT fixed! Lost bluetooth connection several times a day, did a factory reset already but this changes nothing! Bluetooth disabled randomly...
I can see the missing connection easily on smartwatch while phone is next to me on desk...
Well in my case, updating the firmware on my car's infotainment system resolved my disconnect issues. I haven't had it disconnect once since then. And I haven't had any disconnect issues with my Pebble Time. That worked all along. Not sure what might be going on with your smartwatch.
Good morning everyone,
I already did a factory reset on my device last week, for your information, my X Compact was delivered with nougat as stock firmware...
Yesterday, i put my Huawei Smartwatch Classic in the dock for charging and my x compact on the night desk...7 hours later, this morning, the bluetooth symbol is missing and no connection to my watch - bluetooh disabled!
I think this i really a major bug and needed a fix! Android Wear App is updated to newest version, Android Wear 2.0 for watch wasn´t released for the watch classic this time so it´s running on 1.5. But i´m not sure if this i a problem of the android wear part as bluetooth was disabled also on devices without a smartwatch also...
So what can we do? In a german android forum i found also users with the same thing on newest firmware to this problem is not resolved for us...
I have the same problem... I've had my Huawei Watch switched off for the last week and the phone had been absolutely fine, no Bluetooth disconnects. I did this back in November for 10 days while i was on holiday (left my Huawei Watch at home because the Bluetooth randomly disconnecting was annoying me) and the phone didn't disconnect once during my holiday, but as soon as i came home and turned the watch back on again the Bluetooth started randomly disconnecting again. I upgraded to the dev preview (dp4) of android wear 2.0 and the problem disappeared... i only recently downgraded back to android wear 1.5 in anticipation of the official OTA for android wear 2.0 and the Bluetooth disconnect problem returned so now I've turned the watch off until the official 2.0 upgrade arrives... and hopefully that'll fix it... but for those that can't wait, the AW2.0 DP4 image for the Huawei Watch fixes the problem ) it did for me anyway
Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk
Even in the latest FW, die Huawei Watch is randomly disconnected and bluetooth disabled! This is so an anoying bug, what can we do to fix this? Is it a problem of X Compact only or also a smartwatch related thing? I´m not sure...
i have same issue, bluetooth randomly turning off. So i contacted sony support, and i took an answer that it is known issue, and will be fixed in next OS update.
I hope that they delivery it soon.
Here is exact answer in polish and google translation:
Szanowny Panie ****,
Dziękujemy za kontakt z pomocą techniczną Sony Xperia.

Sir ****,
Thanks for contacting Sony Xperia Support.
First of all, we would like to say that we are sorry for any inconvenience you experienced with your Sony Xperia X Compact.
In response to your correspondence, the problem with Bluetooth will be corrected in the next update.
We would like to explain that the update is never available for all models in all countries at once, as it largely depends on the product, the country (and branded devices - from the network operator). Updates are available through IMEI numbers, and not every phone or tablet is updated at the same time, but the update will be available for your device soon. As soon as it appears for your model, you will be notified by Xperia Companion when you connect your phone to your computer or directly to your phone (Settings> Phone Information> Software Update). Xperia Companion is available for download and repair of the phone software, which is available for free download from our official website at:
http://support.sonymobile.com/pl/tools/xperia-companion/
You can also check the availability of the update by typing your device's IMEI number under "My Software Information" in the following link:
http://support.sonymobile.com/pl/software/
We remain at your disposal.

So lets hope for that fix. Maybe this is Android 7.1.1...
Grr... I have the same problem. One of the reasons why I upgraded from my Moto X was to improve the capability of my Asus Zenwatch 2. This makes it worse.
Have any of you tried to disable battery optimization for the related apps/services?
My watch isn't AW, it's Tizen so it doesn't use stock services, but I haven't had issues so far..

My X1 has a very annoying problem with it's Bluetooth. During a call using Bluetooth handsfree the phone will drop the Bluetooth connection, leaving the call connected so annoyingly the caller can hear me cursing the unreliability of my phone. I then have to finish the conversation holding the phone to my ear without the headset.
I called Sony Ericsson, who told me to update the firmware. I did - to R2AA007 - makes no difference. They then said it was a defective phone, so I got a new one sent to me...
...this one has worked great for a month, but yesterday the battery ran almost flat and whilst on a call using handsfree it started playing up again. Now it does it all the time again, even though the phone has been fully recharged and rebooted.
I have been very careful not to change any settings with this second phone, no installs of anything. This is a Vodafone UK phone if it makes any difference. Any idea how I can get this working again? Even without the handsfree connected I can see the display flash 'Bluetooth on' at random intervals indicating that it keeps dropping. Sony Ericsson say that this is not a firmware issue that needs fixing now - what do you guys think?
there are many posts regarding your problem. one thing is for sure, you are not the only one. look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=480698 and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=471181 here too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448703 i have my mbw-150 and my hbh-pv712 connected at all times to my x1 the watch is always connected but my headset disconnects randomly as you mentioned even during a call. there is no problem with your phone it's a software issue.
Thanks for the links. What annoys me is that Sony tell me there is no problem and they won't report the bug to their firmware team because "it's been fixed in R2A". This isn't the case, and it doesn't give me much hope for firmware R3A.
Same problem here
I experienced the same problem. Got my X1 in december 2008. Problems started in mid Januari, about a month of good Bluetooth operations, it started to give problems. During a call the Bluetooth connnection is lost, but the call stays open. Can reconnect Bluetooth again during the call, but after some time (sometimes seconds, sometimes tens of seconds) the connection get lost again.
Was glad when the new firmware arrived in Feb 2009. Download it, and the problem was gone fore about one month. Mid march the problem started again. Downloaded (the same) firmeware version again and the problem was gone again for some time. Last week it reappeared again
My conclusion: the Bluetooth bug wasn't corrected in the latest firmware version. Just reinstallation of a new firmeware version resets the phone and the the problem is gone then for some time.....
Seems that there some kind of an internal timer/counter that corrupts good bluetooth operations. I don't want to reinstall "firmware" every time again because I have to reconfigure my phone then every time, which takes a lot of time.
I hope that Sony finally will correct this most irritation bug!!!!
In the mean time I use a Bluetooth restart programme that "turns on" bluetooth every second. This helps moth of the time.
This works for me
In the Bluetooth-Device-Manager tap and hold the stylus on the headset you want to use until a popup is shown, then select use as headset. This worked for me when i have had some problems with one of my headsets supporting more than the "Handsfree-Profile" .
=> better connection under R1, best connection under R2(using R2 since official release)
Good luck WOODY
Hey Guys,
I think i have the solution for the bluetooth problem. i had my Xperia since 11/2008.
i never had a problem with connection when i used my headset. the problem was with the I-Drive disconnection randomly.
I flashed multiple roms from Itje and Jack with the same problem always.
now for the past 2 weeks i have been using Itje V5.5 with no problems what so ever.
the key is to turn bluetooth off in the comm manager everytime you wanna install new programs. i truly believe that installing software with the bluetooth on disrupt something ???
Hope that helps.

Honestly, it make no sense to me....
try it!! it will work ...
@mdshaded
I hope youre kidding, I've had BT problem (BT turns off) since I got this phone last year.
With Itje's WM6.5 RC1 I still have the same problem.
I am not Kidding, I tried all cooked and original roms. I had a pocket PC phone for the past 3 years: Trinity, Kaiser and now the Xperia.
Again my dropped BT Connection were with my Car BT system, never with my Stereo BT headset.
try to hard reset and then install Itje V5.5 and keep your BT off until you are done installing all your programs then turn it on and report back.
Cheers

I had tried more phones (Eten M600, Asus P525, Kaiser, X1), and did a lot researchs and only HTC's one (Kaiser, X1, Diamond, TP, HD ...etc) gives such issue. Not on my Asus P525 and M600. And I had tried many A2DP devices (Sony: DS-205, DS225, DS970, DS980, Clip-D Radio, Jarba (forget what model), JVC-BT1 (car system)) and only HTC devices give me issue.
And your suggestion of turn off bluetooth while software installation make no sense as installation only perform files coping + registry registration which I don't see any relationship from BT issue.
Dear Jack,
I know it does'nt make any sense. but i had this problem on other devices and was always corrected with a cooked rom except with the Xperia..
there is nothing to lose.. just try it..
my phone had no single dropped connection for 2 weeks now.
All the Best.
what bluetooth issue, ive been using hbh ds-200 since ive got the xperia (used on buses, around the house and alot of places) works great and has a further distance than p1i but only has an issue of button compatability. i think it could be the the bluetooth device ur using or the lack of software. may be wrong completley but hear me out ive had it rnning for ages with music on or durig a phone call cause i cant be bothered to pull out of its case to avoid scratching the phone (i know its stupid) but like i said it is working, for me atleast
same problem ...
I'm experiencing the same problem:
my X1 periodically drops the connection to my BMW iDrive while I'm speaking. But, when I'm not in the car I'm using a plantronics voyager 855 and never had a problem ! So there seems to be a problem with specific bluetooth devices.
Before the X1 I had a touch diamond and it worked without any problems with the same iDrive.
Thomas
Dear Thomas,
i am glad that you mentioned your problem with the I-Drive. I did not have a single drop in BT Connection for 2 weeks now. I truly believe that installing some software impairs the BT connection with my I-Drive.
Again never had any problems with Headsets.
My I-Drive Version I believe was newer than V.25.
Cheers.
Anyone else noted that Bluetooth seems to crash some times, like yesterday while driving.
In the middle of a conversation, my X10 associated to my Volvo, just stopped the conversation.
When I looked at the phone, bluetooth was off, and it COULD NOT be enabled again!
So, I had to restart the phone to make it work again...
Im running 026 with root, but have seen this problem pre-root too, it has happened 4-5 times within the last 3-4 months.
So what I wonder is this, is there a way to enable debugging or core dumping on the phone ?
The same thing with my Renault. It restart often. But turned 3g off and os better.
Needs urgent upgrade.
I am using 24ba
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
I have had the same problem with my MW600 headset too, it lost the contact (0.5 metres away) with the phone and could not be reconnected.
This was on a rooted 024.
I had to restart the phone to make it work again.
Must be more than 2 persons having this issue...
I'm having this problem with an unrooted x10i with the 026 firmware using the Wii controller, also had this issue with the 016 firmare.
The 020 firmware seemed o.k though as I played DKCountry for about 30 minutes with no issues.
Omg, the wifi and the bluetooth don't work in the same time....
sent from my x10i that is banging for a 2.1 upgrade. ...
I have a similar issue, my 024 rooted reboots everynow and then, but only when connected to my cars bluetooth.
It did it before rooting as well.
Bloke
Anyone know a way to create a desktop shortcut (icon) that executes a terminal command (like dmesg >/sdcard/dmesg.txt ).
Some kind of android script perhaps (does android have scripting capability?) ?
Would be nice to be able to easily save the message log after a bluetooth crash, like the one I had again today, in my car... :|
sorry, double post..
I succeded to do a dmesg when the bluetooth crashed.
These lines might have something to do with the problem:
<3>[54935.146661] msm_datamover_irq_handler id 11, status 20000002
<3>[54935.146734] msm_datamover_irq_handler id 11, error, result 80000008, flush0 c203
<3>[54935.146814] msm_dmov_enqueue_cmd(11), error datamover stalled, status 0
<3>[54935.146928] h4_recv: Unknown HCI packet type 00
I was having this problem with the Wii remote.
on the 020 firmware I had no issues though, with the 026 firmware it crashes about 10 minutes after pairing the wii remote.
I have to restart the phone otherwise it doesn't go to sleep and the battery drains quick and bt just doesn't reconnect.
I think its caused by ADW. I just played Donkey Kong Country for about 30 mins with no issues but using Helix launcher.
I sent the message log from the phone to SE, this their reply:
(Out of luck with my new Volvo, perhaps I should start using my P990i...)
Dear Matti,
Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson Contact Center.
We've heard about this problem from a few customers and unfortunatly it looks like the handsfree in the car is not fully compatible with Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Volvo does not list this as a compatible phone on their webpage either: http://www.volvocars.com/uk/sales-services/sales/volvo-accessories/bluetooth/pages/default.aspx.
We have reported the issue but can unfortunatly not say when or if this can be solved by Sony Ericsson.
Best regards,
/Rickard

This blame someone else, I had the same problem with my Audi and Xperia X1/SE P990i too.
There seems to be no use to get nice features/options in the car, because there seems to be no way for the car manufacturers to catch up with the phone manufacturers.
My Audi A4 supported some old SE, Nokia and Siemens (?) phones, that was a 2007 model.
So perhaps its best to just use a headset.
I am not sure if this the right place to post this but I have spent so much time on the problem that I thought it was time to see if someone else has an idea.
I use Bluetooth a lot and am actively using the following Bluetooth devices:
Plantronics Legend (phone calls)
Sony SBH20 (music while motorcycling)
Volkswagon GTI (phone calls & music while driving)
Jawbone ERA (optionally when I don't have the Legend around)
Sony Smartwatch 2 (does not connect to phone/audio)
Gear 2 Neo (would like to replace Sony watch, see below)
All of the audio based devices (including the Neo) routinely lose connection approximately every 15 minutes regardless of which device is actively being used. Other people are complaining of similar issues after an upgrade to KitKat (see below for a discussion of my environment). The Sony Smartwatch does not disconnect pretty much ever. What makes the whole thing really weird is that if the Sony Smartwatch is connected than the other devices don't disconnect either. Therefore, if I am using the Sony than everything works well. However, I really like the Neo hardware and would like to switch but if I do everything starts auto-disconnectng.
I am using an I9500 and have tried the following things all with the same symptoms:
Prism Barebone ROM vers. 6.0-8.0 (4.4.2)
PhoeniX ROM 10.1 (4.3)
Wireless on/off (some others have suggested that similar problems may be due to the wireless trying to use the same band as Bluetooth)
Different Baseband versions (currrently XXUBMG9)
I don't think this can be blamed on the connected device, since it happens with so many different devices and since it doesn't happen when the Smartwatch 2 is connected there must be some software explanation.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks for reading this far.
Fred
P.S. I know it is ~15 minutes because I measured it over the course of five disconnections with the stopwatch on the NEO.
I've not be able to pair my moto 360 2 gen. With mate 8 al10 Chinese version with b321 firmware. There's a way to solve it?? Or is it possible to downgrade from b321 to b180 firmware version ? Thanks
I've got the Moto 360 1. gen and am running B321
no issues whatsoever. don't know what steps you took, but you might want to start to reset your watch

Don't pair through Mate 8 Bluetooth settings but through the Android Wear app.
If you've already paired through Bluetooth, reset the watch to factory settings and restart.
Android wear doesn't work to connect
If you're not able to find your watch or pair using the Android Wear app, check if your Mate 8 has an active Internet connection.
same problem. ??
I too had BT problems on B32X but factory reset on mobile helped me solve them.
I have general issues with Bluetooth it very annoying to put it politely - it will work for 2 mins then drop them work then drop - I found with my LG urbane I had to restart them both to get them to pair then it slowly setup the watch over the next hour or too when Bluetooth worked.
I only noticed what Bluetooth was doing when I got a handsfree car stereo - My girlfriend thinks I have substituted the words 'Fuc#### phone' for goodbye!
Hi guys,
Recently I bought a smartwatch: Diggro DI03. She looks very good. But the only problem is the bluetooth. In fact the smartwatch disconnect every time of the phone. To those of you who own a DI03 and are having bluetooth problems. I've been using the "MediaTek Smart Device" app to connect my DI03 to my phone and I haven't experienced a single connection drop. If you're having problems with the bluetooth dropping out all the time then try using MediaTek Smart Device instead of Fundoo wear and see if that helps!
