Good day,
I am facing a hard decision. I can repair my Nexus 6 for like 170 Euros or buy S6 edge + for 300 Euros with little crack on top.
This is hard because it seems that this phone is unsupported by Cyanogenmod, and even though I am not a fan of it, it is always good to know that a phone will be running latest version even when ditched by its manufacturer.
So I am asking for your opinion about this phone in general(camera, battery, issues and so on) and this situation
Edit: And then a random heavenly voice appeared and reminded me that OnePlus 3 costs 399 euros

I know someone who wants to sell me the Mate 7 brand new for $300. I'm on TMobile and I'm financing a 128gb S6 Edge but I'm still in the return period. Should I keep the edge or get the Mate 7 and have no payment?

How much did u buy edge for ??
IF they gonna give you refund DON'T think even minute...
Of course Mate 7 i worth big nice screen battery 2 days on edge not even full day ..
and that price ?? OMG like for free .. I purchased my mate 7 for £300
It depends on what you are looking for in a phone. If you are a samsung fanatic then by all means get it but if you like longer battery, bigger screen and a cheaper price then get the HAM7.
PS check if its the 2gb or the 3gb version that your buddy has

2GB version. If I return the edge today I will get a full refund. Should I pull the trigger? Any issues using it on tmobile?
If it was a 3gb that would be a good deal! but 2gb and super delayed updates, I think the edge should work fine for you if you accept its disadvantages
I love the edge except for the battery life. The fasthe charging makes it bearable though

DEFO go for it .. u will save the money + you will have ''the phone'' bargain !
You will STILL be calling ,smsing, emailing, interneting .. u don't need updates for your life .. ''updates'' are gimmick for ppl get brainwashed..
If phone works it doesn't need anything..
2gb 09 works fine on T-Mobile and LTE
id not even think about it, i personally owned few samsung devices under the galaxy brand and note brand, and i had devices like apple, oneplus one and others but the mate 7 is my best of the best multimedia devices i dont even call it a phone no more only topped by the p8 max
So, i am from Canada and never really owned a smartphone with a phone line. I was planning to get a T-Mobile LG G4 broken box 9/10 condition on ebay for $180 USD, i would then get an unlock code on ebay for less than $5 USD and finally get a tablet plan for my LG G4 on fido ($15-20 CAD) for 1gb and get voip.ms for the phone line and sms.
I looked on the LG G4 forum and it seem it's getting way longer to get aosp build (comparing with my other device). Since the pixel phone's getting sooner to reveil and launch, i wanted to know when are you thinking the deal on playstore will happen and how much cheaper will they be compared to previews Nexus liquidation. I don't mind waiting until blackfriday, boxing day or even until Valentine day. It's mostly because i don't wanna answer my home phone anymore for nigerian hoax and using the new unused regional code would allow me to get the same number without getting ad and hoaxter. Do you think the 64gb would be under $300 and 128gb under $400 when it happen ? Would it still be a worthful phone to mod later ?
I was also looking for the oneplus 3 since the fingerprint's on the front and i love capacitive button and the silent switch look a good idea.
Thank
I'm really tempted to get this phone after being somewhat underwhelmed by Pixel XL. Is MiFavor decent at all, does it have any theming options? Can you use Substratum on it? I really hope for CM13 and all of the other custom Roms on top of course but is it all or nothing in your guys opinions? Cheers

I had the Axon 7 like 2 months ago then sold it and got a Oneplus 3, and have the Galaxy s7 edge as a backup. So then sold the Oneplus 3 it was a beautiful phone, but it was a second hand so had some scratches on the screen and it was bothering. So anyway went back to the GS7 Edge and that phone is I have it already 5 months still cant get used to the edges, they are very uncomfortable no matter in which case i use with it. So decided that in my opinion the Axon 7 was the best. With its ergonomics speed and everything.
It has the best speakers, headphone sound, software its smooth also no bugs that bother me. Mostly its stock Android with little added features. Money doesn't matter for me if i want i can get any phone. Didn't like the Pixels thats Google becoming Apple making a walled garden soon. Im running stock no root or anything the Axon 7 is like Htc M8 perfected . This should have been instead of HTC 10 . Stupid HTC. The camera is very good beautiful sharp pictures compared to Gs7edge which makes the pictures face like painting. And is better the Oneplus 3 in my opinion. Anyway sorry for the long story, but its the best phone for me now. Buy and enjoy.

axon got best audio quality but louder headphone output got us version. htc 10 dosen't have this problem and got better camera. pixel - waste money but if you don't care about audio and camera and need latest software update - go in
Nexues was supposed to get the latest updates. That's bull****. Look at all the Nexuses 6p, 5x and all before it all good phones but not the latest updates. So Google is not even providing updates of its phones and we blame the other manufacturers.

I'm also very interested in this phone, so i just bought it from Amazon...
But one thing is very weird, yesterday the phone cost 500 euros, today it cost only 248 euros (grey version only, the dark version cost 484 euros).
So i ordered it, but i was just wondering is it normal that the prices are like roller-coster ?? It's an import from Germany, i live in France. I just hope that it's not a scam...
Where did you guys who live in Europe bought it ?
I bought it from amazon. de for 449 â?¬. I think you can't get it for 250 it must be a scam or you are looking at axon mini. I live in Slovenia and the phone is top noch. Yuo should buy it from official amazon. de and not resellers...

What're did you get it for €250. Not possible i don't think. I bought mine from amazon uk and was advertised as the 6gb 128gb model so jumped at it paid £470 around €530 i think it was at the time . Got Sent the 4gb 64gb version and seller says he never advertised the 6gb version. Why would i buy the same phone for more money from him? ****!! €449 on amazon.de and .fr and all deliver quickly.
Lucky i had screenshot to send to amazon of the actual phone i ordered. Some dodgy sellers on there as well.

I've had my Axon 7 advertised on various websites for over 4 months. Originally I started with an asking price of £210 GBP here in the UK, but I quickly dropped this down to £185 to gain interest. The phone is in mint condition as I only used it for about 5-6 months before switching back to my old phone. I have made a good listing with high quality pictures and a detailed write-up. Yet, despite the phone's almost brand-new condition and what I consider a perfectly reasonable asking price, I can't shift this thing at all. In fact, I have barely had any messages other than a couple of completely insulting offers, for £50 lower than advertised.
I think this is a result of ZTE's reputation being so badly damaged this year. It was all over news websites back in April that ZTE devices were a 'risk to security' and the UK government advised against buying them. Now it seems I will be stuck with this phone forever unless I'm prepared to make a considerable loss on it.
Swappa in the US has them listed around $175-$200USD for near mint and they go within a matter of days. £185 is around $244USD. The one's I've seen for less than $225USD go pretty quickly. Try lowering your price and you'll sell

Damn. I paid just under £240 for this phone when I bought it from AliExpress last year. Unfortunately there was a price-drop on the Axon 7 around 1-2 months afterwards and so I think it lost a lot of value then.
The reason I priced mine at £185 was because I had seen them selling on eBay for over £200 in worse condition than mine. But I've just checked again at the 'recently sold' items and now they're going for £150-£170, so it seems the value dropped further from when I last looked up the prices.
Seems I have no option but to reduce the price a little further. It sucks because I only used the phone for 5 months and the condition is mint since it was kept in a case at all times. I had someone offer me £185 about 4 months ago so I wish I'd taken it while I had the chance!

You could get a brand new Axon 7 for ~$270 half a year ago. plus yeah, not many people would want an used axon 7 lol - at least in my country most buy used S7Edge's or buy budget samsungs like the J7
Personally I broke mine (mobo, but many other things were broken too) so I decided to buy an used axon. I paid $200 for a pretty dinged-up one (don't care)

That is the problem, the Axon 7 is nowhere near as popular as most other phones on the used market, especially here in the UK where it's only possible to buy the Mini version of the Axon 7. There can be some confusion between the two variants. Like you said, most folks buying used would look at Samsung or obviously Apple.
You sound a lot cooler than me about buying a phone with damage to it. I wouldn't look at a second-hand phone unless it was almost immaculate. But luckily mine is free from all scratches!

I bought my brand new A2017G for just £200 10 months ago, unlikely it will be worth more than £120 now. It is a 2 years plus model after all.

Dude it's worth more than that, lol. I checked and they're selling on eBay between £140 and £175 depending on condition and the quality of the listing. The absolute cheapest one I found in decent condition was a little over £130.
I'm going to try re-advertising it on eBay and see what happens, clearly my starting price of £185 was far too high based on today's values.
Axon 7 here in Australia was $699 Aussie dollars a little over a year ago, I bought mine brand new for $350 AU dollars.
Damn, do we get ripped?
So my trusty Galaxy Note 3 finally seems to have given up the ghost, dementia of the nand chip. It's been a great workhorse, and I was really hoping it would last until the Note 10 came along but it seems it had other ideas. RIP.
There's a lot about the newer Samsungs that I don't really care much for (no replaceable battery, narrower screen than my Note 3, lack of physical front buttons, those silly curved-edge displays which make decent tempered-glass screen protectors harder to fit, etc) but it looks like I really don't have much of a choice now. I guess I'll have to accept the loss of many features that I liked (for the 'greater good', Samsung?) and be dragged kicking and screaming into 2019. (I know I could get a second-hand Note 3, but even I accept that's probably not such a good idea these days in terms of camera quality, processing power, etc)
The S10+ still has a slightly narrower display than I'd like (I don't care a jot how tall they make it, as like most of the UK I read from side to side, not up and down) but at least it has front-panel fingerprint activation, and has not ditched the 3.5mm headphone socket or the SD Card slot. The timing of the demise of my Note 3 stinks though - just after all the pre-launch offers on the S10+ seem to have vanished, but before the retail price has started to slide.
It seems there's very little choice but to pay around £899 for an unlocked 128GB SIM-free version. There are also some advertised for the £700 region on Amazon/eBay, but I assume they are grey imports? Apart from the lack of manufacturers warranty here in the UK (which I am likely to clobber fairly quickly by rooting it anyway) what are the pros and cons? And are there still any introductory offers out there that I have missed?
Thanks for helping out this grieving Note 3 owner who now feels like a traitor to his long-time faithful companion... :crying:

The Pixel XL was one I looked at. Nearly as wide a screen as my Note 3 (not quite, but about the same as the S10+ so little to choose between them) but it seemed rather lacking in other features, specifically no SD Card (which is a complete deal-breaker for me) and no wired headphone socket (ditto). At least they both have wireless charging, which almost makes up for there being no removable battery (a real retrograde step in phone design IMHO, I swap mine regularly on my Note 3). On the definite plus side, no curved-edge screen though.

Until it suddenly dies and warranty accuses you of doing something, plus it's a crappy phone overall, looks like an abomination and isn't even worth £500 for some silly low light camera. Almost forgot to mention the screen burn-in, walk in any Carphone Warehouse and find me ANY pixel without burn-in, it's insane they're still selling that crap, no wonder I've never seen a single pixel in the wild in Europe.

Note 9 512gb b&h $750
Well, looks like my Note 3 is definitely dead so I'm now actively planning on getting an S10+ to replace it. I'll have to live without root for the time being, I'm sure it will come as some point.
I quite like the idea of the ceramic black back cover (the 'pearlescent gloss' look of the regular black - closer to greyish - versions seems a bit tacky and will mark easily) but I don't think the 128GB version comes in that finish in the UK?
I've found a Spanish site that is offering 128GB Ceramic Black (https://www.costomovil.es/moviles-y...samsung-galaxy-s10+-128gb-ceramic-black-libre) but not sure of the variant that they would be selling (they state SM-G975FZKDPHE)? I'm assuming that any official European release version (SIM-free unlocked) will be the same base hardware and have the same cell-frequencies, so it would work just as well here in the UK as it would anywhere else in Europe, and I could install official BTU firmware via Odin anyway.
However if I buy now from Spain, and the UK does leave the EU soon, do you think Samsung will still honour their original 2-year purchase warranty here in the UK as they do now, based on the conditions at the purchase date?
