Finally, a TWRP custom recovery for ZE500CL! Found on pda4.ru, ported by users named Skyrimus and CHuvaCK21. Thank you guys, if you ever see this thread

Edit: For anyone using ZenFone 2E (AT&T) model, you can try unlocking your bootloader using the method in this post (thanks, @saltii): http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/zenfone-2e-root-rom-t3174135/post64716579#post64716579
If it works, your splash screen will change as described in the instructions below.
Instructions:
1. Install drivers for your phone and ADB/fastboot (this might work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118#post48915118)
2. Download and extract the zip from the link above
3. Unlock the bootloader using the official ASUS Unlock Tool: https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone_2_ZE500CL/HelpDesk/ - you can find it in Driver & Tools > OS: Android > Utilities
If you unlocked it successfully, your splash screen will turn from black to white, like this: https://cdn-images.xda-developers.com/direct/3/4/6/3/6/0/0/zenfone_2_splash_screens.jpg
4. Turn off your phone and connect it to your PC via USB
5. Boot into bootloader (press and hold power+volume up buttons until the phone vibrates, and then release ONLY the power button while still holding the volume up button until you see the fastboot screen)
6. Go into the previously extracted folder and run the "FlashTWRP.bat" file
7. Then press volume down 2 times until "Reboot recovery" shows up and press power 1 time to boot into recovery

Important note: For anyone using ZenFone 2E (AT&T) model, there is currently no method of successfully unlocking your bootloader. I highly recommend NOT attempting to flash this recovery until a viable method is found.

My ZenFone 2E can't enter fastboot mode. Is it possible if you make flushable .zip file, so I can flash it through ATT Stock Recovery?

Flashed successuly, but no reboot recovery option and unable to go to recovery

Hi,
Thank you for your help. I have flased TWRP as mentioned in the thread. But when I tried to go to recovery it again takes me to bootloader screen. Now its not going to either stock recovery or to TWRP recovery. I do have tried flashing updated TWRP version but still its same. Could you please help men to get TWRP recovery installed? I need to change ROM as am unable to swtichon Portable hotspot or USB threatering for zenfone 2E.

That twrp is for a different device. I wouldn't flash it unless you have a backup of your boot/recovery or stock firmware for your device

The only difference is that F has no Modem and SIM Slot for mobile Data but it works fine.
I only use it to root the device without actually flashing it.
Just put the twrp image in your ADB Folder on your PC, then run fastboot with the command:
Fastboot boot twrp.img
This uploads twrp on your device and boots it to twrp. You can leave the system recovery untouched and flash supersu for rooting.
The bootloader has to be unlocked of course.

Ok cheers. Appreciate the info. So I'm wrong in assuming the Tb3-850f came with an already unlocked bootloader? Like many lenovo tabs

No, no. You have to unluck it via fatboot as well.
1. Enable Developer Options
2. Enable "OEM unlocking" Option in there
3. Reboot to Bootloader (Restart and hold down Volume down)
4. Run fastboot oem unlock-go
Next, the Android Bot and a process Bar appears on the tablet and does it's thing. Once that's finished the Tablet restarts and enters the initial Android Setup Screen. So it unlocks the bootloader but ALSO performs a factory reset.

Yea I think your referring to the yoga tab 3, not the lenovo tab 3

Yes, I have the YogaTab 3 (X50F). But there probably won't be any harm done unlocking the device and booting (not flashing) from the afore mentioned twrp.img.

Brilliant! Thank you very much. Just got this Tab 3 yesterday and love it. Will love it even more with root+adaway.

It works great. I used adb & fast boot to unlock the bootloader & then boot from twrp image on PC and install SuperSu. Have been using Samsung for a long time but fast boot is much nicer, especially being able to boot a recovery without modifying partitions or filesystems on the device.

Oppo a37 does not have a fastboot option first i need help about enabling it. .... someone on forum said they removed it so is there any way to flash fastboot in oppo.. ?

Hey i rooted with kingroot and i ported twrp3.0.2 .But twrp touch not working. You can replace super su with twrp by twrp manager.

if touchscreen is not working, unpack recovery and see if it has the modules inside, put them on Twrp if its not there, use stock boot.img and copy all the modules to twrp and it should have touchscreen working, its just a little help since i did this to my device and it started working.

The twrp @KoSett ported when i flash it then it does not work .... phone reboot to normal .... recovery doesn't work at all.... can you tell me what is the problem here

I tried oem unlocking.
when reboot to bootloader through flashify it reboots normally.
when using PC and adb the command to reboot to bootloader/fastboot boots device normally.

if bootloader is locked, the bootloader wont allow twrp to boot since its an unofficial unsigned image (not signed by the OEM)

1- i read something about a project from the thread link you showed me that it restores bootloader functions
2- he problably used that method or still uses old software versions where the patch to remove bootloader hasnt been made yet..

Its project spectrum rom instead of colorOS rom, but it is not compatible for oppo a37f
and i think he is using the same software but still i'll ask him for his version of OS.....
It's all my fault i didn't go through details of phone before buying....
So the final thing is i am stuck with a phone without fastboot and locked bootloader and can't install TWRP... It sucks!

Trying to root my Huawei P9 Lite VNS-L31 (Compilation VNS-L31C02B329), but I can't make it to boot from TWRP
Android 7.0 Nougat / EMUI 5.0
1 - Already unlocked bootloader
2 - Already installed all those Huawei Drivers / ADB and all sorts of things
3 - Already usb debug mode ON and also OEM unlock active
4 - Already used the adb flash recovery recovery.img
5 - After the steps above, rebooted device in bootloader recovery, but it never goes to boot TWRP, only to Erecovery Huawei
Can someone help me, step by step, how to make the system boots first to TWRP and skip Erecovery Huawei?

yes, sorry, I used this one, it even appears the the file being flashed to device, but the problem is when I try to boot it, goes all the time to erecovery, not to twrp thing. Is it possible to skip or change priority to make it boot twrp first?

I've tried a lot of them (3.0.2 was the last one, if I'm not wrong), but all seems not being working
I wonder if I'm not doing something wrong when restarting the device, maybe I'll try again some steps, but if someone here could give me an precise step by step and a 100% guarantee twrp file, maybe I could figure out what was wrong

finally, worked. After flashing this one, used the adb reboot recovery and went straight to TWRP. many thanks. I hope this thread can help others as well

I don't know about Nougat but it work on Oreo Cuz i Hard bricked my Huawei Nova 2i Oreo
Edit:Btw there is no full Huawei Nova 2i Nougat Firmware only Oreo Firmware(From Firmware Finder Made By TeamMT)
