Best Camera for Moto x play - X Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to know which camera for selfie, night camera will be best as the stock Camera selfie shows me blur effects. Back camera is really good in sunlight but not in dark. Is there any way to make better or improve the camera of our moto x play?

What a joke. Laser auto focus.....ha. This thing takes pics as fast as my old S3. I don't know of there's a setting that's not default or something but a 2sec lag between pics to focus...come on! Any type of seeing I'm missing?
Autofocus is best thing about camera...few days ago I take picture while Iam driveing car about 40km/h and pics was great...

I took a pic while moving also and it looked good. My concern is when you take multiple pics at once it lags between pics to refocus if you move the phone a little.

Washed out colors and details in front camera?

Hello everyone,
Once I had a sony cellphone with the first 1.3 mp camera and the front camera of S7 Edge reminds me of that picture quality. Is anyone experiencing same thing? Any work around for it?

Hello. I see this is an older thread. Yes, I see that the camera is a little bit more washed out than compared to other phones. I've personally been looking for a solution since everyone says that it's the greatest shooter out there.
Look at this sky shot:

}
And the wall on this shot:
I recently found the option in the Pro mode that says: Vivid, which makes the colors a bit more natural (which is ironic, since the phone itself is washing out the colors! Lol).
Have you found a solution? I have my third and final S7E coming today - if this one doesn't work out, I'll try another device. The camera is the MOST important feature for me, especially when paying this kind of money.

Night Mode Camera

Hello all,
I've been looking around to buy this phone and most reviewers say that the low light camera is bad. However, one review did say that with night mode, it gets much better. Is this true? If so, why don't the reviewers use that mode? Am I missing something?
Thanks
bump
These were shot with night mode in my dimly lit studio (only a 60 watt lamp in the opposite corner is on) on a Moto X Pure Edition.
I think the camera on this phone is great compared to my previous Moto phones. Especially with well-lit shots. You can decide for yourself by the photos.

Number of sensor for g4 plus. Name of laser auto focus sensor?

Hay peeps. I have a reg g4 and it kinda looks like it has the laser auto focus sensor in back. My g4 has two camera sensors called rear proximity sensor and camera activation sensor. I have a total of 19 sensors. I need to know how many g4 plus has and what's your guys camera sensors name are? Thanks. I used sensor list app. Also my rear proximity sensor only gives change in output if I put my hand really close to it. What about yours?

I've tried both cameras and for some reason my rear camera is blurry and will not focus. I've looked online but found no solutions. Can you offer any ideas.
I'd recommend using the paid app snap camera hdr. i use it on my LG Stylo 2 Plus, and I understand it's a similar phone to this one. Hit me up on telegram @c0mpl3xy and I'll tell you how I have it set up. here's a Google photos album of my best shots with that app in the Stylo 2 Plus: https://photos.app.goo.gl/TUphQHuJ6NPYFWZ52
