Hello everyone, new nexus 6p owner here, bought it on swappa. Need help on how to bypass the verify your account. Thank you
Contact the seller on Swappa.
Tell them to change their google password to "[email protected]" or something, use it to login, legally get around that lock, and then have them change it back.
The end-user can disassociate your 6P with their google account afterwards.

Hi,
I did a search and didn't find anything matching this query so please forgive me if I missed anything. I got my Nexus 7 yesterday and was trying to set it up. I wanted to set up a new username for my google account and link my youtube account to it. I did all this on the nexus and at the same point during set up I entered a credit card number to get my play voucher.
Now somehow in all my messing about with account names trying to link up my youtube and prefered email as my "google account" the £15 voucher for the play store got applied to the wrong account. I want to delete that one and just have my main one now but if I do that will I loose my google voucher or will I be able to get it on my main account?
I could just used the voucher on that account to buy the apps I want and the delete the account but how would that work if I ever needed to redownload those apps again, would I need access to that account to do so?
If anyone knows of a way I can transfer my google play credit to my other account that would be brilliant!
Thank you in advance.
Update: I tried deleting the old account and then resetting my Nexus and entering all my details from scratch but it says the voucher has already been claimed except now it is on an account that no longer exists. I think my best bet now is to email google and ask them to fix it. Does anyone know of a contact point?
Hello, i have a samsung SM-G935FD which after flashing asks for sign in to google account that was previously synced on the device. I dont know the gmail ID....how to solve this problem?
Ask whoever you got the phone from. It needs their Google ID.

The person who gave me the phone doesnt know the gmail ID either.....is there any way to bypass it?
nope, theres no way, and is not a problem, is a security feature to prevent the use of stolen phones mainly, and just ask for the last acc sync with the phone wich the one who give u should have, if not, probably thas one of them

Factory reset ?
You have to have the previous owner log back in, and then delete their account.

If you just purchased this phone, ask the seller for their Google account and password so that you can sign out of their account. You are locked out due to Factory Reset Protection. Your alternative is to return the device and buy from someone else.

hhey! this phone was bought legal! but
I reset the recovery and disappeared from the person who sold me...
What you're asking is for us to help you bypass the security in place to protect those who may have had their device stolen.
This will not happen on XDA.
Contact the seller and get them to remove their account in person, or get them to change their password to the gmail account to something you both mutually agree on, then sign in, add your account and get the seller to deauthorize the device from their account. Then have the seller change their password again so everything's secure.
Hey, so I tried searching on here as well as on Google, but to no avail. I just bought an Axon 7 from Swappa and in trying to sign into my account it says I can't because I've recently changed passwords. I haven't changed the password on this account for at least six months. I tried another Google account that's had the same password for years and it gave me the same error. Any ideas? It's the U.S. variant if that makes any difference. I may just go ahead and go through all the steps to install custom recovery and unlock the bootloader and see if that fixes it, but I thought I'd check here first. Any help is much appreciated.
Edit: Ok I didn't notice before but it's actually giving me asking for a Google account that was previously synced with the phone, so now I'm searching Google for how to get around this. For reference, here's the wording:
This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google account that was previously synced on this device.
I'll post here if I can find the solution.
You're SOL, bro. The same thing happened to me when i sold my Nexus 6. The only way around this is to get the previous owner to give you their login credentials. What should have happened is for the previous owner to factory reset, sign in to his/her Google account and then sell it. I know, it's BS, but it is for security reasons.

Ahh, well that sucks. Thanks for the reply though. I'll reach out to the seller and see if they're willing to give me their info.

I just unlocked my Sprint S8 v9.0 running into "sign in using owners account" message
I just unlocked my sprint S8 running android 9.0, my brother set up this phone as a gift with a dummy account cause I was in the hospital at the time, didn't save any of the information, and now I'm trying to get back into my Sprint S8 running Android 9.0. I get to the Verify your account, enter the account ive been using on this phone since I've had it and it says "enter an account of the owner of the device" or something like that.
Can I get past this without that dummy account? I can follow instructions if someone can send me the right information
Thanks in advance
So you probably used a phone number or something to verify that account, right?
That's good in case you do not remember the actual email address.
Use another phone, get to https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery and do a password re set, using the phone number you used.
It's really easy.

which phone number? I don't have access to the Sprint master account, the phone was set up with a dummy account (we can't remember the random numbers he used at the end) and then while I was using the phone I was using my personal google account. The only one info I have access to easily is my account is the personal, and the dummy account might be borderline lost forever
