The title says it all How do I root my a300fu with android 6.0.1??? Tried some different methods like cf-auto root and via twrp and kingo root but no success so maybe some of you guys know how???
Thanks in advance.

Flash TWRP with Odin, make sure you dont tick AutoReboot as stock recovery flashes itself back.
After that, download SuperSU package, flash it through TWRP, and enjoy root.
Apologies, But do you have links for exact root file to use.
Thank you kindly

For me cf-auto root works. Do you used the latest from chainfires list?
If anybody is interrested I can also provide an odin-flashable, prerooted and deodexed ROM. But it will last some days...
Thank you Pluto delic, Works perfectly
Best wishes

There is already a way to go back to stock if you ever do decide to root. Give it a try and if you want, you can flash stock again.
TWRP Recovery is now available for the Note 4 on Tmobile.

Can you do a video on how to unroot or at least some step by step directions?
I've tried to find an answer to this but can't seem to get a 100% sure answer. If I simply root, that's all, no custom recovery. Will I still get OTA if/when Samsung/T-mobile release an update (ie Lollipop)? Thanks!

Yes you should get OTA if you stay stock.
I had a Quick question about Twrp recovery
I have a tmobile note 4 sm-n910t. I have rooted with cf auto root and put the twrp recovery on and flashed the sd card fix. If I unroot via odin with the stock rom will android recovery be installed again or do I have to flash android recovery again to get rid of twrp recovery. If I do have to reflash android recovery again do you know where I can find it.

Hi, I have recently updated my note 3 N9005 to lollipop. How can I root it now?
I really would like to know the same.
I tried CF-Auto-Root, but it's only for 4.4.2, and it does't work for me, and I also don't know how to update SuperSU manually to 2.42.
Use custom recovery and flash SuperSU v2.42
Some of the lollipop roms under development also come in pre-rooted.

Not really, because I don't want to install and setup everything again.
And this ROM wasn't pre-rooted.
Can please someone explain me how to root the Note 3 with Android 5?
Google.

Really?!
I know how to root, but than SuperSU doesn't work, and I don't know how manually update it.

I was able to use towelroot to get access on this device. I haven't been able to get TWRP onto it though, or get a Rom on either.

If this is like a lot of Samsung devices then what's going on is the early firmware (NE2) was rootable with towelroot, but the more recent one (NK1) is not. Check your settings > about tablet to see which build number you're on (I'm assuming it's NK1). The most immediate solution would be to just downgrade the firmware, root, and stay with that (disable update notifications/freeze the updater app).
However, if you know what you're doing, it's only the kernel that needs to be changed. So extract the kernel file (boot.img) from both firmware files and make a tar file for each boot.img. Flash the older kernel, root with towelroot, then flash the newer kernel, and voila you're rooted on the latest build. Your call

I have not tried, sorry
I did this with the t337a, if you want I could take a shot at it. I have no way of making sure it works though. Let me know if you are interested or if anyone would be willing to test the kernel.
I own the Tab S. It was released after towelroot was patched. So recently when Kingroot update their root method and such, we now can root with kingroot on KitKat ANK1 firmwares and not trip Knox. Of course people who owned att devices said it worked and some with Verizon said it didn't work. I mean its worth a try if anyone wants to try kingroot.

You can take a look this video for avoid problems and to root it perfectly.
* The last TWRP update for your device is this ONE. Replace this to the video one.
but I can do it with CF-AutoRoot?
As far as I know CF Auto root works. But that's not how I recommend to root. Flash a custom recovery, TWRP for example, then flash the SuperSU zip from there, done. Google about both stuffs.
Can I install the recovery even without the root?

I am looking for a way to have root access on Galaxy S5 SM-G900I
AP : G900IDVU1BOJ1
CP : G900IDVU1BOJ2
CSC : G900IXSA1BOJ1
Hoping to have CWM and SuperSU by chainfire for it.
Previously used recovery methods with Philz Touch for Galaxy S2 & S3 both international XSA versions
Flash this with ODIN

I think you need to read a good few threads before messing about if you are asking that. Or your next thread will be "Help! I've bricked my phone"
At least Google what CF Auto Root is...

mainly asking to be sure, got a copy of the stock rom to flash if it didnt work out. Done this for my S2 and S3 so im not a complete noob
CF AR is just root, if you want custom recovery, you need to flash that separately
Doesn't matter which ROM you're running
