Hey guys, is the latest Lollipop firmware , BOA (UK) rootable? I tried and I always get a fail message. I tried CF Autoroot and failed. I tried the second method , the one implying flashing a custom recovery first and then installing the root, but also failed. Anyone managed? I searched but nor found a thread about it.

This is the wrong forum. Questions are asked in Q&A please post all of your questions in there from now on.
To answer your question, yes you can root it by flashing SuperSU beta here.
I just updated my phone to OK1 firmware running on 5.1.1. This si the China variant and not hong kong. I was wondering if there is a working root for this firmware? I've tried the CF auto root of the 4.4.4 version but it sends me into a bootloop. I've searched everywhere but can't find anything. Any help will be appreciated.
I can't root N9100 android 5.1.1 (N9100ZCU1COK1) by root file CF-Auto-Root-trltechn-trlteduoszc-smn9100.zip for android 4.4.4.
Then is there no way to root for that firmware?
anyone? desperately need Gapps on my phone right now...
Hi. I have installed an aurora rom with version 5.1.1 N9100ZCU1COK1 and I'm rooted. But I just kept the root that I had before updating so I didn't use CF-Auto-Root or anything else this time... have you tried kingroot?

If your n4 is sm-n9100, bought from China, you can directly flash TGY n9100 rom, I got my n4 couple days before(SM-N9100, trlteduoszh), original rom is China version: N9100CHC1COK1-5.1.1, then just download TGY rom, N9100ZZH1BOF2, which is the latest TGY rom, android version: 5.0.1. After odin flash, do doubble wipe, then everythings just fine. like the orignial hongkong N9100, of casuse you get the stock google apps.
I got ota information yesterday, tgy rom got update to N9100ZHU1COL2-5.1.1, I'm not sure to do update, cos I'd heard 5.1.1 won't get root for the new "reactivation lock" issue, anyone have experience of root your tgy 5.1.1?
Chainfire has a new autoroot for N9100 5.1.1. You can download it HERE

Check post #60 in THIS thread.
SM-N9100 runing Adroid 5.1.1 rooted successfully.
I followed the following link and successfully rooted mine without any problems.
(sorry. I'm not allowed to post an outside link. Google "How to root Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N9100 Android Lollipop 5.1.1" and you should be able to find the article on recovery-mode.com)
Good luck!
I recently bought N9100 in china and then I flashed my new phone with the latest stock rom N9100ZHS1CPE1 (Hongkong) android 5.1.1 via odin. Worked perfectly. No issues.

Thanks for your reply rjma, I had 6.0.1 and I used CF-Auto-Root for 6.0.1 to root but it didn't work, it got stuck on boot screen with some errors. That's why I downgraded to 5.1.1 because 6.0.1 doesn't have google appps.

I eventually rooted the phone and it's too easy to be true. I downloaded it's specific twrp, flashed it via Odin without the battery so it won't boot up after flashing, then boot into twrp recovery and flashed SuperSU.

N9100 only supports B7, it does not support B2 and B4. And this is the reason why you get a weak signal (B7 is high frequency with poor coverage).
Using the custom recovery posted above I managed to get root. just boot in download mode and remove the battery after that, flash twrp recovery from above link with odin (you can make a flashable .tar.md5 yourself or just use this one:
https://mega.nz/#!xNslVYLa!zDQdqxVyam7H2Q8xzvZnyQ7DyhPqy2jgs1TE1fLEJjo
. put the battery back in and boot into recovery, copy the supersu.zip (I used the latest one from this link: https://download.chainfire.eu/1012/SuperSU/SR3-SuperSU-v2.78-SR3-20161103171345.zip?retrieve_file=1 , but you can use the latest one). Flash it and reboot normally. Don't let twrp root your phone (it will ask you to root when you select "reboot system" from recovery, just select don't install root, or something like this).
Note that the above rooting method worked for the latest 5.1.1 firmware (from 10 October 2016) for Hong-Kong, PDA N9100ZHU1CPI3, CSC N9100ZZH1CPI3.
You can download the firmware from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/102145/N9100ZHU1CPI3_N9100ZZH1CPI3_TGY/
Also, that firmware fixed some rotation issues I had with the previous one.
A friend of mine has a asian galaxy A5. Is it possible to install a european firmware on it? At the moment the language can only be chosen between asin and english. Also there are problems with the Play-Store.
Sadly I can't find much information about the model.
Here are some specs:
Buildnumber: LRX22G.A500HXXU1BOJ1
Kernel version: 3.10.49-5979747
Knox version: 2.4
Base Band: A500HXXU1BOF6
TeamAndroid says, that the firmware is from Uzbekistan? Link
Is the hardware of the Galaxy A5 similar in all regions?
Any help would be appreciated

The Model Number is SM-A500H. Until now I don't have the device, only screenshots.
Did you install the rom with samsung kies? Will the A5 receive original OTA-Updates when I've installed the european rom? Can you guide me through the process?
It would be nice if you can give me further information. Do I have to root the device before installing the european firmware?
Thanks in advance!

That sounds good! Which tool did you use to root your device?
Flashing a deodexed Rom on a stock Rom base means, that further official Samsung updates will not be installed, am I right?

I recently upgraded my S5 firmware to G900W8VLS1DPF3 and a few hours later security update prompt popped up. I went ahead and installed it. Later I realised that root was lost, not sure if it was the security update or the firmware upgrade. Tried PD3 version of CF-Root, it ran successfully but still no root access available. I have tried to look around on the Internet to see anyone has been able to root this firmware, couldn't see anything relevant.
So, is it possible to root this PF3 version, has anyone been successful? Any other methods I could try?
Thanks
No one has a clue?
Hi!
It seems your phone is
Canada (Telus)(TLS)
SM-G900W8
GALAXY S5
6.0.1
flash SuperSU through custom recovery (TWRP for example)
Samsung TWRP page https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys5qualcomm.html

While I don't know of a website that hosts modem

extract the modem firmware and flash it, which you
probably are aware.

Hello guys. I know that there are many threads with this topic but they share so different views that I am a little confused.
I have NOTE 4 SM-N910W8 (Canada) with carrier unlocked,
region PCT (Puerto Rico), version N910W8VLU1BOF2, OS version: 5.0.1 16.06.2015
Here is some additional data:
Baseband version:
N910W8VLU1BOE1
Build number:
LRX22C.N910W8VLU1BOF2
CSC:
N910W8PCT1BOF2
--------------------------------------------------------
As for that region there seems to be no OS version 6.0.1, so my question is: can I flash firmware from different region (BMC)
Here is data of this firmware:
Firmware*SM-N910W8*/ N910W8VLS1DPK1
version N910W8VLS1DPK1 for the device Samsung GALAXY Note4, model SM-N910W8 below.
Phone*Samsung GALAXY Note4
Model*SM-N910W8
PDA Version*N910W8VLS1DPK1
CSC Version*N910W8OYA1DPK1
PHONE Version*N910W8VLS1DPK1
Region*BMC
Country*Canada (Bell Mobile)*
Build Date*04.11.2016
OS*Marshmallow
OS Version*6.0.1
PLEASE if somebody could help me. Should I just flash it the simple way ( I do not think so ). Any way not complicated too much.
Hope for some optimistic but also practical answers. Thank you very much.

yes you can flash that BMC firmware. aslong as you flash only n910w8 it will flash fine. you may need the correct pit file though.

Thank you for reply. I flashed OS 6.0.1 yesterday and everything seems to be OK. Now I am struggling with rooting. Unfortunately "CF-Auto-Root" files do not work. Phone reboots to strange screen with 3 colorful lines and only flashing again can help it. After reflashing I will try “One Click” Root.
! There is a surprise on the way, and it is too expensive for me - so good bye "One Click Root".
Still looking for working way to root my NOTE 4, any help please?
