Yup. Do some debloat, leave the few useful functions, and it's actually pretty decent. I usually use debloated stock roms anyway. And you can do that on your own here.

Have any of you installed any of the xposed framework? Any issues with it?

I run the Google Now Launcher and I've disabled all of the Samsung/Verizon crap. I typically get 16-24 hours of battery on a charge even though I use the phone quite a bit. I don't use root though. No need for it.

CM? How so? CM uses a different kernel and we cannot use custom kernels with the 930v or any US snapdragon variant.

This is not a full rom!!! It MUST be flashed OVER your existing rooted stock 5.0.1 rom. Make sure you do a backup BEFORE you flash!!!I am no dev, but I figured I would share my deodexed rom for t-810 users. With this, you can install xposed framework! You must be rooted with twrp. Flash this over your existing rom with twrp, and wipe dalvik after install. Enjoy!

Good stuff, just a reminder to people to do a full backup with TWRP before flashing just in case.

99% of credit goes to @ashyx for root and twrp. I will post links to proper xposed files when I get home later.
Works very well! Thanks for the deodexed zip-file!
I used the "xposed-v71-sdk21-arm-arter97-V6-exynos.zip" and this works very well at the 5.01 rom.
Here is the link to the xposed-thread for the 5.0 Samsung roms:

This makes the Tab S2 much more useful till 5.1.1 with root is available.

Any chance of this to work on android 5.1.1?
Anyone still have the file that can be flashed? The link in the first post is dead. Still have a sm-t810 on 5.0.1 and want to deodex it. any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just deodexed it myself. we will see how this goes lol. never done it myself... Just wanting to get xposed on there.
I know it's a long shot since the Verizon variant was never suppose to be rootable (if that's even a word lol), but it doesn't hurt to ask..

Flashfire doesnt work without root in the first place. So no.
Well, the problem is not the lack of root, but lack of ROMs for the Verizon s7.

Can the OTA image be sideloaded over 7.1.2 from June?
SuperSU v2.82 SR1 works on O DP3 for Pixels.
Dp3 runs smooth but android added even more permanent notifications to take up space

Chainfire has posted flashing instructions for Pixel / Pixel XL.
I don't particularly care about root, but I do want to pass SafetyNet so I can use Android Pay. My Pixel came from Verizon, so I'm kinda stuck with the unlocked bootloader (if I lock it, there's no going back...)
Does anyone know of a kernel that has the SafetyNet mod and works on DP3?

Successfully flashed from G955USQU1AQEF to G955U1UEU1AQE3 using this method.
1. Backup your data. I found out the hard way that the ENG_BOOT.tar will reset the phone (I know... noob mistake).
2. Reboot into download mode and use the modified Odin to flash ENG_BOOT_G955U.tar under BL.
(I rebooted after this and went through the setup... Im not sure if you have to, but I know it will work if you do)
3. Reboot back into download mode and flash the G955U1UEU1AQE3 files in their appropriate fields.
(I didn't use the HOME_CSC, and everything seems to work great!)
I take no credit for the existence of these files.
Enjoy!

I think this is just a Engboot. Not a root method with Engboot. Just Engboot.
@Lmax579 @hazmad
There is no root or bootloader unlock, it's just the engineering bootloader. The only useful thing that I have found is that it allows you to flash the G955U1 firmware. It may allow for downgrading, but just attempting what I already did was enough risk for now... Maybe I'll try it at one point.

It doesn't have carrier bloatware, and enables tethering for other carriers. Possibly quicker updates, because there would be no wait for the carrier to release it, not positive on that tho.
