Samsung fan boy here, always rooted everything. Handing in my note 7 for refund and want the Korean LG V20 off ebay. Anyone know if Korea locks bootloaders? I live in Canada eh

Not sure, I don't think we ever got root on the Korean V10 I want root to move the bottom buttons and use a pie launcher

I bought a LG G2 from Australia, I was in a trip and my Iphone was unusable after I fell in water... To my surprise the model number was D802T!
I want to flash roms and mods, but I don't know how safe is it to flash international model stuff!!
Any ideas?

Hi guys,
Currently running a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I'm thinking of buying a G4 but have a few questions:
1. I see that you're able to unlock the bootloader - will there be custom ROM's coming soon? The android development forum seems pretty empty...
2. The problem with the Galaxy S5 is that the camera software is closed source and can't be ported/run with AOSP ROM's and I'm pretty sure we can all agree that most AOSP ROM cameras suck compared with stock cameras. Can the LG camera software be ported/run within an AOSP ROM?
3. How does the panoramic mode work? Is it a "sweep" function like the Galaxy S5 or do you have to take individual photos then stitch them together?

Unless you have that specific model with the EU region you won't be able to unlock right now.

Yes, the international model is the H815.
There aren't any proper custom ROM's for the G4 yet, all the devs are either waiting on root for most of the variants or are trying to crack the phones themselves.
As for the camera, I know the G2 got its stock camera ported to AOSP, but I'm not sure if that will be possible on the G4.
Panoramic photos are shot by sweeping the phone around, yes. I don't think there is another way to take them in general...
There are different variants of the H815 be sure you have the right one

1) South Korean F800
2) Unlocked USA models (VS995, US996, H918)
3) Any European model? (Do they have great ROM support?)
I want to make sure that phone is able to unlock bootloader, root, and have great custom ROM support. Which model is best suitable for me?

I believe a big factor is the patch level... right now mine is on 10R which I believe is un-rootable.

H918 would be the best bet. Just patch lvl is what will kill you. Need anything below 10P

hello, I just disarmed my LG v20 sold as an ls997 that was in androids 7 and was successfully updated to androids 8 but when I see the plate I see that says vs995, I want to know if I can install a Rom of vs995 because the ls997 version is very closed and there is no root method when it is already updated to androids 8, thanks

ARB was incremented on the 997 and not on the 995 you'll probably brick and cross flashing a different variant isn't a good idea to begin with.

Check ARB, software IMEI and sticker IMEI. If it all matches the VS995, the seller just sold you the wrong variant, and you're free to flash. Nothing wrong with that though, unless you're on Sprint since they have a whitelist.
I`d like to know if it`s possible to update LG V35 PLUS 128GB LMV350EAW to Android 10. This is the Brazilian version and would be great to update with the American ROM. I appreciate any help. LG G7 Plus can crossflash to another model so I think the V35 should work too.
You can try cross flash to Korean market firmware, the V350N's, mine AT&T's is working under NAO firmware very well now, so I think you can do that, too.
The V350N is the only model has it's own Android Q kdz.
