I've just got a used S5 SM-G900F Running Stock 4.4.2 Baseband Version G900FXXU1ANC7 and I have noticed that there is a large amount of delay when calling !
the G900F is the European version, it doesn't connect to LTE but that doesn't matter to me.
My carrier is Ultra Mobile, its a mvno that uses T-mobile network
here is the delay shown in this clip I'm calling from my samsung s5 "on the right" to LG E980 on the left : https://youtu.be/7Ko6ogf4i-c
I have tried my SIM in another phone and there is no delay
any ideas ?

, after the manual update there is no delay in the call audio

the one on the left is a LG e980 , the one on the right is the samsung s5. I'm calling from samsung s5 to LG
and the delay problem happens when I make or receive calls

I'm using Stock 4.4.2 , Kernal version 3.4.0-951778
Why not let the phone update? Latest is Android 6.0.1

should I search for exactly " G900FXXU1ANC7 " because I didn't find that exact version ,,if not how can I know which is compatible ?

I don't know, I have just installed phone info app and it says the following :

I've been reading about changing csc code . will that help me ?

Relatively new the the whole ROM scene, so im sorry to clog the forum with a question that has no doubt been asked a hundred times before
updated to "[AOSP] Official 4.4.2 - S4 Google Edition - Final-R4 - Feel the Experience of Nexus" from the previous Jellybean version of this rom (which worked perfectly), but now im having issues with my service, which seems to dissappear whenever the phone sleeps.
I have a feeling its to do with my baseband but have no idea how to update it and what to update it to, current one is 19505XXUDMH6,
im on the EE network in the uk, if that makes a difference

You need to flash one of the latest modems to avoid signal problems with a 4.4.2 ROM. ML6 works great in the UK, I'm on Vodafone UK.

Flash this one http://d-h.st/g0j as Phone using Odin 3.04 twice. Remember to untick Auto-Reboot in Odin.

I am using Galaxy S4 and unable to update my phone OS from jellybean 4.2.2 to Kitkat. I bought this phone from Dubai in 2013 and using in India. When I try to update software through wi-fi or Kies, it always tells me that I have latest version.
Can anyone tell me why I am facing this problem and how can upgrade OS?

That is a odin flashable firmware
But if you are not familiar with all this then you should not do it
Instead take it to either a samsung service center or any third party mobile repair shop

Search your model number.
Download the firmware.
Flash via odin v3.09

If the phone is an i9505 the ssc wont have the firmware and would keep his phone. In India i9505 is not that common. We have i9500.
Its better to do it yourself

S4 4g is being sold in india therefore ssc will have all the required tools and files
The problem could be ssc refusing to upgrade due to mobile being purchased outside from india

Have never seen one being sold anywhere in my city or nearby l. Plus there is no proper 3G here, what is 4g haha
Outside phones they charge a tad bit higher.

Does anyone know what would happen if we installed the generic T817 firmware on the SM-T817T model? Would it simply disable the LTE aspect of the tablet? I don't really care about the LTE, personally.
