Migrating From Cm13 to Nougat! - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

I Want to Migrate from Cm13 to Nougat and I have xposed installed. Any help besides downloading the stock firmware (that's 1.4gb out of my bandwidth!)

YOU HAVE TO FLASH AND INSTALL THE STOCK ROM IF YOU DONT HAVE A BACKUP!
Flash back to stock and make sure your bootloader says official status. Then download and install nougat ota from stock recovery

Once unlocked never get back to official state. And also unlocked bootloader is no problem to get update but should be in stock firmware and recovery , I think so.......

Okay, What I am gonna do is that download 4.4.4 GB, Flash over my Asian retail 4.4.4, then download 5.1 OTA. And further steps, please tell me. How to flash OTA , what you mean by FCtory resetting, ans flashing Asian Baseband?

First factory reset your phone.
Battery 80% plus.
flash gb 4.4.4 on your phone.
Then u can save ota internal memory and install it by stock recovery.
After that find indian xt1052 baseband gb baseband will also work but i was getting less signal so i flashed indian baseband by mfastboot.
Hope you find it helpful.
This is proof everything is working with indian baseband. Rooted and xposed installed.
When will we receive 5.1 in India? Any updates? I was on Eclipse ROM rooted.. But then unrooted, went to stock recovery and now running stock 4.4.4 pretty well.. But still waiting for the OTA

If you're trying to install OTA stock or just motorola stock firmware
https://github.com/motoxplay/stock
If you're on a custom rom e.g CyanogenMOD.
Usually if you're on a weekly build such as cm-13.0-20160625-NIGHTLY-lux.zip It should prompt you with an update, if not then go to settings ---> about phone ---> System updates
Other custom roms usually have an update software that can be found somewhere in your apps list.
Also you can't get OTA updates if you're on stock motorola firmware that has been rooted.
Hope this helps you!
If you're on stock rom and rooted just wait for a full stock rom flash file to be available. Then you just need to flash your phone using rsdlite with service.xml selected to keep all your data

Back to stock ROM

Hello everyone,
I'm currently using this ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/development/rom-resurrection-remix-mm-5-6-7-t3357331
Is there any method on how to return back to the stock ROM ?
If I just do a full wipe and flash the latest update, will it work ?
thanks

Yes. Place it in your internal memory, but by itself, not in a folder. As the other poster said, reboot the phone and it will show up and an available update

you can update from 184 or 194, don't know about 196.
plase update zip in root of internal storage, archive should be named UL-Z00A-WW-4.21.40.134-user. Then wait for a bit when the notification come and update your phone.
Thanks guys

In theory not.
But you won't be able (for now) to unlock the bootloader in M (M bootloader is different from L one).

I updated one from 194 and another from 184, no issues with either handset, sensors and GPS both OK. Really odd how so many have so many different issues. The one problem I do have is that an app from 3 UK to use wifi calling no long works if I have a 2nd sim installed. Never had a problem with LP.

Yes you can restore the backup you have made using TWRP and you will see the same setup and data of MM as you left it.
Flashing will make your device just as new like out of the box.

Yes by doing so you are downgrading the OS.
You didn't flashed the soak test, right? As you stated that you made a backup of MM so I think you flashed the CM14.1 from the MM. So if you didn't flashed the soak test then you're good to go without any issue.

I am also new to this device so not much sure but for a safe side you should downgrade by flashing stock firmware via adb. And as far as I read and watched the videos on youtube there is not any issue to downgrade to MM if you have unlocked bootloader.
As being an XDA user we always know the risks. Good luck.
