Disable vibrate when turning over. - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Does anyone know how to disable the vibrate when upside down feature? It does this whether its on a surface or even mid air. It even does this in my pocket over and over when walking and is really annoying. This is different than the smart alert feature.

Is it possible to enable vibrating only when the phone is in dark place, in the pocket for example where you hear it harder?

Peeking and Lockscreen Notification Problems

All I want is "peeking" and the lockscreen notifications to work! Isn't this part of Marshmallow?
Anyone else find notifications to be not working/inconsistent? What I am looking for is to have the screen turn on with every notification...this phone is either sitting on my desk or in a car holder most of the time, so I want to see the notifications without having to handle the phone. I've tried some 3rd party heads-up notification apps that work pretty good, but I am having issues with the lock screen (sometimes I have to enter and pin AND use the fingerprint scanner, which is a bit much to just access the phone).
1. I seldom get peeking notifications even though "peeking" is selected. With some apps, peeking works sometimes and not others. I have never seen a Peek notification for gmail.
2. I find the notifications seldom turn the screen on, even though I have the ambient screen turned on. Perhaps this has something to do with problem 1.
Am I the only one?
I have the same issue. Did you find a fix?
There is already a thread on this topic, may be answers in there. However, its working fine for me, so its not an issue for all users.
Hi,
I noticed that I have this problem also. Someone managed to solve this?
Have you tried putting apps in the priority lane?

Wave to wake Marshmallow

For actions, I have approach for moto display turned on.
Under display, notifications are turned off.
As I understand it, the phone should wake by wave, but _NOT_ wake up the display when notifications come in.
Instead, i'm not getting it to wake by wave. The only way it'll wake by wave is if the notifications are turned on under display (in moto assist app).

I've noticed that too. You're not alone.
<eye roll> Why even have the options like that. Seems they put an AND statement rather than an OR in the code.
I may have a partial workaround. The notifications wake allows you to set a time window when notifications are NOT shown. I set it from 00:00 to 23:59. This keeps the phone from waking for every notification and keeps the wave to wake functional.
So, I took this a step further.
I left the time interval in place as mentioned above (12:00am to 11:59pm). This prevents the screen from turning on for each notification alert.
I was bothered by how sensitive the prox sensors were. Bring your hand anywhere near the phone and it lights up.
Disabled the approach to wake option in moto display. The display still lights up but it now requires some form of movement such as picking it up, rotate/twist, etc. It's not perfect, but gets the job done.
I was annoyed by the approach thing always lighting up my screen too. I have found that I do like the screen coming on when I move the phone though. Just bumping it lightly is sufficient to light up the screen.

Autobright and Silent/ vibrate glitch

My Autobright works in dimming but when you unclick the box it stays where its at unlike previous model Samsung phones, is this the new normal?
My biggest concern when I put my phone on vibrate or silent I still get sound notifications from other apps.

Unticking the autobrightness will leave the slider where it was. This is normal behavior. I don't have the notification bug but some people are reporting it. Try toggling do not disturb mode on and off and see if that fixes the issue.

Vibration when changing panel on the always-on screen

Is there any way to stop the phone from vibrating whenever I change panels on the e-ink screen? Switching between the YotaPanels and YotaCover or moving between panels always produces a vibration and I can't find a way to get rid of it.
The same thing when drawing a pattern to unlock the phone when in YotaPanel mode (when drawing the panel in YotaMirror no vibration is produced, as configured).
I got the phone last week and it's still with the original Android 4.4.3 that came with it, in case that makes a difference.
Did you or anybody else figure out how to turn off vibrations on eink?
Go to Settings -> Soubnd & Notification
Disable Vibrate on touch for always on display.
It is working using Android 6.0.1 RU version
