Meizu M1 Metal Marshmallow? - Meizu MX

Meizu M1 Metal is currently on YunOS 3. 1. 6. identified as Lollipop 5.1. Does anyone know if there are plans to upgrade YunOS to Marshmallow? This is a fairly new phone and should not present any hardware problems, but, bearing in mind that we are dealing with the fiendish Chinese (as Peter Seller would say) I am pessimistic.

Received This Update Last night... Still the same 5.1 but at least they have fit given an option to enable root access ...
Hopefully we can get Custom Recovery and some Custom ROMs ??

Flyme 5.0

When flyme 5.0 will come to meizu mx4?
Sent from my MX4 using Tapatalk
This is really the wrong place to ask this question. You should've directed it to either the European or Israeli Meizu community websites.
Anyways, nobody here will be able to give you a definite answer.
The guesstimate is that after MX5 and Pro 5 receive Flyme 5.0, so shall the other devices. Unless of course Meizu decides to mess with everyone.

S7 port nougat

Do you know when a S7 nougat port will come out?
Sorry my english use google translate

Don't know if its possible to port s7 nougat to s5, as it is stuck at marshmallow and there is likely 5% chance that samsung will update tge s5 to 7.0

custom roms are usually based on stock. stock nougat from samsung will never come. S7 nougat port will never come . S5 will never receive nougat roms only CM14.1

Hi all,
I think the OP is talking about a custom Nougat rom ported from the S7 to the S5 and not about an official update.
I don't know if it will happen or not. But, I hope a port is already in the works of the best developers here and I keep coming every other day to see for a new thread with this great news.

Exactly, I was referring to a rom port, I know that officially the S5 will not receive android nougat, and I also hope that some dev is already working in nougat, because Cm 14 loses camera features and image quality and I do not like it

Yeah,
I like the Touchwiz look better on my phone too. Especially the setting UI of Nougat Touchwiz (like in the Note 7) is pure bliss.

This is more likely to be for your phone

Hi,
Man I ve a J5 but I speak with you who have a S5,
Stock must have Google Approbation and Custom like CM mustn't have Google Approbation and Snapdragon 800/801 very old for have Nougat is a story of constructors not Qualcomm,They are compatible but the cancelled update is for change your S5 with S7

I do not think that the Galaxy S5 will receive a successful nougat port. The reason is because there is no other Samsung phone (flagship/budget) that has a Snapdragon 801 chipset and is running Android 7.0 as we speak.
Sorry!
However, there are great custom ROMs that can give you the 'FOUGAT' experience (fake nougat). I am currently downloading the Nemesis Reborn v5, I heard it's the best 'FOUGAT' ROM all around. :cyclops:

So does anyone here got their phab 2 an update for android 7?
According to this site http://www.theandroidsoul.com/lenovo-android-7-0-nougat-update/ there´s no hardware support found for Nougat release. Can someone confirm this?

ARCore from google that it gonna replace tango will work on every phone above android 7... so that means, even if phab2 pro was ment to be the first AR Tango will left out of all these while it has extras on its hardware for exactly that reason. At least lenovo should put the kernel source and whatever else needed so some brave XDA dev can make some custom rom or bring somehow the nougat in the phab2 pro... at least Lenovo let XDA do your job!
I don't think these phones will update to 7. At least not yet. Operating speed is only 1.3 quad, personally I'm happy with its performance.
Disappointing these are stuck on Marshmallow and can't get Nougat or Oreo.
Any custom rooms for this device?

No custom ROMs available?

Hello. I purchased a Mediapad M3 in Amazon Prime Day yesterday. I am checking development for this tablet and I can't seem to find any custom ROM out there. Is it because of the Kirin SoC? Is it because this model has not adquired popularity? It would be nice a LineageOS ROM, especially when Huawei decides to stop updating it...
I'm wondering also...
there's a beta nougat update that works quiet well. no issues to report except that it doesn't pass safetynet check
Maybe it would be possible to use the kernel and device tree of the Honor 8 which has similar hardware?

Lenovo Announces ZUI 4.0 For ZUK Lineup

Lenovo Announces ZUI 4.0 For ZUK Lineup, Adds U-touch 4.0, Full-screen Gestures, AI Voice Assistance
Lenovo has announced that it will finally start rolling out the ZUI 4.0 software update for the ZUK series smartphones starting this week.
ZUI 4.0 Update
Earlier this year, Lenovo had promised that it will start rolling out the latest ZUI 4.0 software update to its ZUK lineup. A couple of months later, the company has now officially announced the roll-out schedule for ZUI 4.0. The new software update will bring plenty of new features, improvements, bug fixes, and more.
Customers have been waiting a long time for the update to arrive. ZUI 4.0 is based on Android Oreo, so it is still not the latest software out there. Better late than never though, and ZUK users can finally get a taste of Oreo on their devices. Read on to know what’s new in ZUI 4.0 and what phones will get the update.
Lenovo ZUI 4.0 Software Update Features
The new ZUI 4.0 update is based on Android 8.0 Oreo, as mentioned before. The update brings some new features to the custom ROM of Lenovo. The company has been using this ROM on most of its phones, expect the Motorola branded ones. In China, some of the Motorola phones also run on ZUI ROM.
The ZUK series phones from Lenovo have been using ZUI from a while now, and they come with features such as U-Touch. This is a really helpful feature, and with the latest ZUI 4.0, it gets better. The update features U-Touch 4.0, which includes full-screen gestures, and more.
Lenovo has also added some AI functionality to the software, and even a voice assistance. There’s also a new Game mode in Settings, which should improve performance while gaming. The update brings improved battery life, and a smoother overall experience to the ZUK phones. The company will start rolling out ZUI 4.0 for beta testing by the end of this week. The roll-out will start in China first, and will then be available in other regions. Yes, this is still in beta, which means that the stable version could take even longer to be released.
Lenovo ZUI 4.0 Compatibility
During the announcement of the Lenovo S5 earlier this year, the company announced that several phones will be compatible with the new ZUI 4.0 software. In August, the company started rolling out the update to the Lenovo Z5 smartphone.
Firstly, the ZUK series phones, which include the ZUK Z2 Pro, the ZUK Z2(Plus), and the ZUK Edge, will all be receiving the beta update in the new week. The update will also be compatible with phones such as the Lenovo S5, Lenovo K5, K5 Play, the 2018 Moto Z Series (China variant), and the Moto Z2 Play (China variant).
Those who have been waiting for the ZUI 4.0 update, will now be able to sleep in relief, knowing that the update is just around the corner. If you are waiting for the Android 9.0 Pie based ZUI update, then you will have to wait much longer.

There is not much change. They have made some changes to lockscreen ui, game mode and battery optimisations. Wait some time we will get the blobs of all these on our custom ROMs.

My rom doesn't have the game mode as yet buh it should be coming soon ... Android pie isn't a stable rom yet so the dev of my rom that is jaguar 8.1 said that we have to wait for some time till a stable version of the rom is out for us to get the ported version for zuk 2 plus... in my opinion I think that the most stable and least buggy roms for zuk 2 plus are :
1) Jaguar 8.1 Rom
2) Aex Rom
3) Viper Os
*THATS JUST MY OPINION*
Try arow pie ,,,,the best from all
Viper OS Nougat still the smoothest rom...
