Everyone i try to send someone a picture through text they always tell me it didn't work or it comes through cut halfway off or messed up. It only does this on the stock messaging app. Is this a common issue? If so how do u fix it?? I want to keep the stock messaging app since it's the only one that shoes a text on the always on display.
Other than this issue the phone is great. However, this is a major flaw not being able to send a picture.

I'm new to Android, coming from the infamous (on these boards) iPhone, and I don't know what I did, but I keep receiving SMS messages with an incorrect time stamp. It's 9:45 and the messages are saying 10:30. This is during a back and forth convo. I googled it but I can't find a fix that doesn't involve messing up my calendar appts.
I'd prefer to avoid downloading a 3rd party texting app, as I like the default one- especially with Swype. Does anyone know a quick fix to this?

Yeah happens to me from time to time, it's a Sprint network thing, not a device issue. It happens on my friends dumbphone as well.
I am having this issue with MMS images are going as a slide show instead of inline in the message like on other phones like nexus one,iPhone Etc
Is there a way to fix this or we all need to learn to leave with this annoying issue ?
Yeah, it's been an issue for some time now. Just download Chomp sms, or handcent.
Anyone experiencing problem when writing a SMS message (text message) on stock ROM 2.1?
The thing is, that almost every time I'm writing a message, BACKSPACE-delete button and optical cursor stop working!
So I have to go "back", (you know, the order you give when done tying, just before sending the message...) and "tap" the text window again to get back to the message body, then everything works. And sometimes this happens several times before I'm done with writing and send the message.
Any ideas on what would solve the problem? Atleast notify me, if you're experiencing the same problem, so I'll know it's not just my phone...
PLEASE LET US KNOW WETHER THIS IS SOMETHING THAT SOME OTHER ROM WOULD SOLVE. Does this problem continue after flashing the phone with some other ROM than the stock one?
Yeah I have that also, indeed incredible annoying
I haven't found a way to fix it, I just start using an other SMS app like ChompSMS or Handcent SMS. Those don't have that bug.

I've had this problem for a while and I i can't actually recall if it ever worked. Now with a Android Wear watch the issue is extremely noticeable since it hinders the use of one of its main features.
I have OK google from any screen and even when locked but for some reason when i tell it to send an sms it will do it BUT the recipient never receives it.
It creates the sms on my phone but the recipient never gets it.
Maybe its my texting app but i have used Stock, Google, Hangouts, Textra. None of them seem to send through the "OK google command."
Any one able to offer some insight on this issue?
If some one has it working on their note maybe list what sms app you are using.
update: When I use google now it appears to be sending to the right number but it has a "011" in front of it which is why it isnt working.
I noticed something slightly annoying earlier and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or noticed. I snapped a picture of a document to send to someone via text message. The picture looks great in the gallery, but when sent through text, it's pretty much impossible to read. Both by the receiving party and myself when I try to open it up through the text string. It's not a big deal as I can send it via email, whatsapp or any other means and it looks just fine that way. I know when images get sent via text, they are usually compressed and I'm assuming this is the case. However with every other device I've had, I never had the quality degrade so much that the document is not legible.
Anyone else experience this? And is it normal if so? If not, is there anyway to correct this besides using a different messenger? I would assume no.
