Question about lockscreen cleaned apps (closed apps) - ZTE Axon 7 Questions & Answers

Usually after i unlock the phone i see a notification that during lockscreen the following apps were cleaned (closed) in order to reduce power consumption. I dont really want to close my chrome or some other apps every time i leave the phone locked for a longer time, but i can't find an option to disable this feature or to whitelist some apps.
Any ideas ? Thanks.

Is this the u or g model? I can't find anything in my u model about this. I would guess that it would be under the power manager settings.

It's the A2017G model. There are a few apps listed under power manager settings but not the ones I want: chrome, photos etc.

[GUIDE]Moto G (2nd Gen) - Ultimate Battery Saving & Performance Tips

Hey guys,
Now that most of you guys have probably flashed-up Lollipop on your Moto G (2nd Gen)s, I have taken the liberty to put together a guide to increase your Battery Life and Performance of your Devices.
As of now, this guide is NON-ROOT based. (Rooting is still unstable, Bootloops : Yuck!). And, I'm a big fan of the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) concept so thats how this is gonna go:
BASICS:
1. Use the Toggles!
Now that Lollipop has provided even easier access to a wide variety of Toggles, its only fair that we use them. So toggle off whenever you're not using WiFi, Bluetooth, Location etc..
Swipe Down with 2 fingers and see for yourself!
2. Mobile Data
Again.. Use the toggle in the Notification Centre to toggle on and toggle off when not in use.
Use 2G instead of 3G if you're only IM-ing (WhatsApp,Hike,Hangouts etc..). To switch the Cellular Data type, Tap and hold the Data toggle in NC to open the Cellular Network page, on the top right corner, tap the 3 dots and select Mobile Networks. Here use the Preferred Network Type to switch between 3G and 2G.
3. Battery Saver
Believe it or not, Battery Saver is not just a name-sake feature anymore like in KitKat, It actually works this time in Lollipop. Keep the Auto-Enable for Battery Saver ON at 15%.
You can access the Battery Saver by using the 2 finger swipe down from top, tap and hold the Battery Percent in the NC to open the Battery Settings page. Now tap the 3 dots and select Battery Saver.
When going on a trip or drive, turn on the Battery Saver while Driving (Unless you're expecting some notifications) and disable them when you reach your destination. Its so easy to disable as it displays a persistant notification in the NC and the Lockscreen when it is active. Just swipe down on the Notification and tap on Turn Off Battery Saver to disable it.
4. Use WiFi whenever possible
Wifi uses less battery power than 3G.
A power consumption chart in Decreasing order of Battery Consumption is:
3G>2G>Wifi
So choose wisely.
5. Auto-Brightness - DO NOT USE!!
Screen brightness is always one of the biggest battery drains on your device. And although auto brightness sounds like a saviour, IT IS NOT! It uses more processing power to keep track of the ambient lighting to auto adjust the brightness which defeats the overall purpose.
6. Disabling Apps
Apps can run in the background without you even knowing, hogging up memory and battery. Disabling the ones you dont need can help big time.
Go to Settings> Apps and slide all the way to the left to the All category, select the unwanted app and hit Disable. You can re-enable these apps anytime also. My suggestions would be to disable the Moto apps - Assist, Migrate, and Help, and also any of the Google apps you dont use such as Magazines, Newsstand, Movies, etc.
PRO-TIP: If you're willing to endure the 10 minute boot after rooting for once, then root your device using the latest SuperSU, Install any Root App Uninstaller and Uninstall the Un-Neccesary apps. You can then do a Full UnRoot from the SuperSU app and reboot. Voila.. Back to Normal and no more unnecessary app (I dont like to call Moto Apps as BloatWare cause these apps actually provide some usable functionality!)
7. Customizing with Efficiency in Mind
Use launchers like Google Launcher, Nova, Apex and GEL. These launchers are light weight and do not use much processing power.
Heavier launchers such as Go Launcher, Themer, Next Launcher 3D use a lot more RAM and can slow down your phone + drain battery.
8. Google Now
Nothing much to say here... If you dont use it, TURN IT OFF!!
9. Google Sync
Check your sync settings to make sure you're not syncing stuff you dont need. Go to settings>Accounts and tap Google, then tap your account name. Uncheck any of the services you dont use, for example Books, or Photos, or Google+. Do the same for anything else in you Accounts section.
10. Location
Again, turn On when in use and turn Off when not in Use. Use the toggle in NC!! Go to Settings>Location>Mode and make sure its on Battery Saving if you're insistent on keeping it ON.
Turn off Location Reporting in Facebook AND Facebook Messenger. In fact if you don't absolutely need it, delete the Facebook Messenger app altogether. The Facebook app will still give you your message notifications just fine without it.
11. RAM cleaner/ Booster Apps
These DO NOT WORK! They clean the RAM and drink it up again. And if they have those floating buttons, they are Worse!!
So thats most of it.. I'll keep updating this post with ROOT-based tips once a Stable Root is available for Lollipop.
Shoot back with comments and suggestions (and Criticism as well!)
Cheers
Krishna Sagar

Eventhough Greenify works without root....
I was going to add that but then held back as the true potential of greenify could be better achieved with root. I'll surely add this when I update this guide with Root based methods.
Bro are you using titan rom(5.0.2) or are you on 5.0.1
Also the reason I'm on kitkat is xposed
and lastly can you change the dpi manually(I'm loving 240) and reduce the minimum brightness to 1 instead of 10(I read manga before I go to sleep)
Edit: happy new year bro

I checked out the Titan Prime 1.2 but now am on 5.0.1. I'm waiting for a more stable and feature rich version of the Titan Prime.
Motorolla says 3g consumes less power you say 3g consumes more power, who is right?
By the way thank you, this point was also in my mind regarding auto brightness I was already against the point of auto brightness, because I really don't like high brightness so I've set it on a constant percentage.

Just my 2 cents : Google Now Launcher drains a lot of battery irrespective of the fact Google Now is installed/disabled

Notifications on lockscreen not working at all.

Hey guys, first post on XDA.
Also my first Huawei phone, bought it for a good price in China. I dare to say great when its about 1 / 2.5 of the price i payed for my Edge 6.
Its a AL10 with B197. First impressions are good. The UI is "worse" than Samsung and certainly needs time to get used to.
Its quick as lightning and for example batterytime, which ive started to value very high, is more than doubled.
Notifications on the statusbar works fine, Facebook, Whatsapp, Gmail and so on. But they all refuse to work on the lockscreen, im yet to get a single one out there.
In settings -> messages/statusbar ive enabled lockscreen (and everything else) for all apps, but that helps nada.
RIght now im using the app Next to get around it, but surely i must have missed something?
I have the same problem woth latest software. I check every option like dont kill app after lockscreen vut it now works. When I close app or lock screen notification not working till I switch for example whatsup then I see 10 new. Messeges
Does it work if you change the battery mode to "performance"? For me, absolutely no other option allowed apps to receive their alarms and show up in the notification bar when they're supposed to.
The nice thing about this change is that I couldn't notice any disadvantage as far as battery life.
I changed now for for normal (in my language is normal inteligent and ultra save) I will check tomorrow phone beahviour.
Try this. Go to Settings, lockscreen & passwords, screen lock style and choose magazine unlock. For me this is the only screen lock style that works for lock screen notifications. Let me know if it works for you.
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-L29 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I have this enable. I use code method or fingerprint unlock. Still the same ****...
No luck here either, cant for the life of me get notifications to work. Everything is enabled, all apps are turned on when screens goes off, max performance, tried different themes, etc etc.
Using the app Nils now to atelast get something.
I cheek battery drainige when app are not kill.
Its very sad all apps are enable option to not kill after lock screen. Restaring apps eneable. In first software version b180 I think everything was fine. In emui 4.0 after update much worst.
---------- Post added at 08:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:11 PM ----------
Problem sloved! Do not kill app by system cleaner it means you have quadrant or whatever it called on down your screen. If you celan your last apps notification not work. When I. Kill apps via ex task manager lock screen notification comes very good testing on fb and messanger. So do not celan last up which you want receive notification
I get notifications for other apps but I don't get any for the Facebook Groups app or Facebook app. I also do not get any badge counts on these two apps. Anyone get badge counts or notifications for these two apps? The notification settings are the same as my other apps that's DO get notifications.

Hey man, did you find a solution to this, I have the same problem and it's driving me nuts!
You must use magazine unlock, in Themes
Wysłane z mojego HUAWEI NXT-L29 przy użyciu Tapatalka
I finally got mine to work. Yes you have to use magazine unlock. The other themes with different lock screen seems to disable the notification popoug (probably due to compatability). Nevertheless, if you are using EMUI 5.0, go to <Notification & Status bar> then <Notification Management> and click on the gear icon on top. I selected "When device is locked, show all notification content". The other individual whatsapp notification setting should be applied accordingly too.

Notifications

Notifications on apps like whatsapp, gmail etc, are very unreliable when the the screen has been off a while. We have the same problem with the Le Max 2 in our house.
Anybody experiencing the same?
No problem here at the moment.

Do you use greenify? That tends to sleep apps, there's an option to keep notifications on so you can get them still. Seems like probably another issue though.
Sent from my SM-J700T using XDA-Developers mobile app
I'm suffering exactly the same issue. When I receive any push message from Hangout or Whatsapp the phone does not play any notification sound, even though when I turn on the screen I can see the notification on the lockscreen and on the notification bar if I unlock by fingerprint.
This morning I realized that if you plug in headphones the notification message sound will get through.... quite weird....
It looks to me we will have to wait for the following OTA and see if it gets fixed. By the way my phone is Chinese/EU version.
Problem fixed easily:
to to the phone's manager/ power saving management, then the lock screen app protection, you need to set those apps 'protected' , so when the screen is off, they are still protected in the background. you may also want to check the align wake up which is another power saving feature. basically, you need to let any apps you want to have notification stay 'protected' when the phone is sleeping. Make sure also check under setting/ notification management, to enable those apps......

HD 10 2017 Rooted and Play Store - have a few odd glitches and some questions

i'm mostly happy with this tablet, rooted with one of the great tutorials on this site (kingoroot then supersu), and I've added Google services/play store. I have a few small glitches though so I thought I'd set them down here and see if anyone else has them, and if there are any fixes. Mostly they are trivial, and some are just general questions.
(I bought the pro version of titanium backup so i could freeze some of the amazon processes (I don't really want any of them; i'll never use them so they're just going to waste battery; get in the way of nova launcher etc). I've been very careful with what I froze and "pm disable"d though.)
1) If i go to settings/storage and select internal or sd card it shows me the page briefly then goes back to the storage page.
2) When I click on settings/power/battery I don't get a graph of battery usage. Is this normal? Usually you can see how long ago you charged it, which apps have use battery etc.
3) There's no settings/accounts/google so how can I see which Google apps are syncing?
4) I had to sideload Netflix. Is this normal (for a rooted HD 10)?
5) I have 5 google accounts I've added to Google Photos (I have a lot of photos!). The initial "downloading photos" seems to take ages. Perhaps it's no slower than usual but it's not showing you the photos until they're all downloaded. Worse, this app quits by itself sometimes. It's the most unstable app I've used in the few days I've had this device.
6) The app Amazon for Tablets just quits when I try and run it. Does it require some of the background stuff I've disabled. It's not really worth enabling them for it, i'm just curious.
7) Can I somehow add a pattern unlock instead of pin/password?
8) Can I disable the lockscreen wallpaper? Where are they stored on the tablet - perhaps I can just delete them/replace with a single black jpeg.
9) Can I edit the swipe down notification options (which are currently wifi, airplane, blue shade, do not disturb, bluetooth, help, rotation, camera)?

Some apps have to be sideloaded because the app version is for cell phones only.
Amazon apps, Store and Kindle have not worked for me for awhile... Not sure what is going on.

Netflix isn't for cell phones only. It appears in the play store on my other phones and tablets.
I'm not too bothered about the Amazon stuff - I have a real kindle for reading books; this tablet is great for PDFs (which are hellish on a kindle). I'm not sure there are many apps on the amazon store which aren't on the playstore, and I guess I'll just have to live without the amazon app. The website is pretty good anyway. I suspect if I was bothered I could unroot and factory reset this device and start over and just add the play store and remove no amazon stuff, but that would be a lot worse than my current situation.

1) You debloated. It likely has something to do with Free Time and the files surrounding it's function. Unfortunately only way to fix without root, is a factory reset.
2) Download and install Activity Launcher. Tap top left panel, and then all activities. Scroll to settings, tap it, you'll see more battery options, unfortunately not detailed. Scroll down further for 'usage statistics ' for individual app usage stats.
3) Using activity launched again, still in settings, tap 'accounts'. Then tap the three dogs at the top right corner. Make sure 'auto sync' box is checked. You can't see the individual syncing options though. Also in activity launched > settings tap 'backup and reset.' Make sure the toggle to back up to Google cloud is selected. You cannot enter an email, that's for Amazon backup.
4) You can download a compatible Netflix apk from their website here.
5) Google Photos is give or take. Move pictures and whatever else you want to use, to Google Drive. That works better, especially if you keep Amazon Photos.
6) Debloating causes this across many apps. Amazon makes sure everything is connected. I don't use any Amazon apps so these are give or take as well.
7) No pattern yet. I'm working on it. I just need to figure out how to edit the SystemUI ap k and reinstall it. No luck yet.
8) Amazon Photos controls lock screen wallpaper. You can only change it through settings > display > wallpaper. That changes home and lock screen wallpapers. If you delete Amazon Photos, you lose the ability to change the lock screen. You cannot disable the lock screen wallpapers.
9) Amazon uses a different notification panel than the standard SystemUI interface. So far, with root, GravityBox changes only status bar icons, but not tiles. I have not yet figured out where Amazon tucks away their panel. Some is in SystemUI some in the framework.

Thanks for responding! It can be hard to get "the answer" to specific questions on this site sometimes!
1) I was very careful with what I altered, and as far as I know I only disabled stuff (I bought titanium pro and froze a few things that I couldn't disable even as root) so presumably I can unfreeze it. I suppose I could have poked around more without root but I was worried that I might get an amazon update I could no longer root, and that I couldn't replace the launcher with nova launcher. If this (inability to look at what items are taking up space in the sd card/internal) is the only symptom of "debloating" then it's a fair trade and I'll put up with it).
2+3) I will check out "activity launcher".
4) I didn't know about that! "Rooted or uncertified Android mobile devices are unable to download the Netflix app from the Play Store. Rooted or uncertified mobile devices are not blocked from accessing Netflix, but, depending on configuration, may not function properly." Might as well leave them up on the play store then, eh? Very odd. Still, solves my fears about sideloading tampered-with apps.
5) I use google photos on several other devices and the web. I upload stuff, move between albums, share. If I can do all of that on google drive then it might be worth whatever time it takes. I'll check it out!
6) This was one of the apps I couldn't disable until I bought titanium pro, so that's solved now. (I froze whispernet and other stuff that was taking up cpu/battery and the device didn't seem to get any more unstable).
7) It's not a big deal. I'd check out any fix you make (assuming I find out about it somehow - remember to post it in one of the forums on this site!)
8) I might temporarily enable google photos then, long enough to disable them. I'm not sure how many photos are cycled between on the lock screen, and whether they're downloaded or stored on the device. I couldn't find them when I had a quick look.
9) It's not a big deal, but i'm never going to use most of them.
Cheers!
Well, I unfroze everything (then refroze some apps like kindle, amazon for tablets (which still didn't work)) and some of the menu items have come back to life. I still can't set lockscreen wallpaper - the settings for wallpaper only affects the main screen. That's not big deal really - I don't want to fiddle with this thing forever. I can see that google and firefox are both set up to sync but clicking on them doesn't do anything. I don't get notifications on lichess, which is odd. I get notifications for youtube so it's not like the system is broken, and notifications aren't disabled on a per-app basis for lichess. The activity launcher lets me see the battery details like you said (although you can access activities directly with nova launcher so it's not required) - there's some text you can hardly read on those pages though because it's very dark text on a very dark background.

Battery manager stuff ?

Hello everyone !
I just bought a Redmi Note 7. This morning my alarm didn't ring for some reason. I use the Google Clock. Also I can't make "OK Google" working when my screen is off. Some notifications take time to be showed. Etc.
Is the battery manager thing responsible of all those "bugs" ? Is that a weird "Greenify" ?
Since I didn't unlock the device and install a real Android ROM, any of you have a solution for alarm so my boss don't kill me tomorrow ?
Thanks for your help guys.
Settings > manage apps > clock (or any other app) > battery saver > no restrictions.
Also enable autostart in the same settings menue.
And avoid stuff like naptime, if you are not experienced with such things.
Hi there. It's probably a MIUI battery saver thing. So for all of your mission critical apps whose notifications you want to receive instantly, do this:
1) Go to app settings for the app in question
2) Toggle on Auto start
3) Turn on all notifications that you want to receive
4) Set the battery saving setting to no restrictions.
If you notice that an app still gets closed in the background for some reason, add another step:
5) Open the app and then open the Recent apps screen. Tap and hold the preview image of the app in question. Tap the first icon (lock app). This will lock it in memory and only you will be able to manually swipe it off and clear it from memory. Tapping the Close All button in Recents will not close the locked apps.
After I had done this with the apps that I wanted real time notifications from (or battery tracking apps that I wanted always running in the background), I've never had any issues with late or missed notifications.
I don't use 'OK Google' to wake the phone. I'm not sure if this is possible with all newer phones or only with specific SoCs.
Thanks for your answers. That was that battery saver options. Have a nice weekend.
