Hello guys,
i rooted My axon 7 with the tutorial: root with unlocked bootloader.
But My proplem is that i cant use twrp, because twrp want the decrypt password for Mount.
I formated data etc. In twrp, AS soon AS the OS starts, twrp want the decrypt password.
What can i do? May be a tutorial?
Thank you very much

Are you able to remove your passwords, fingerprints, etc?
No passwords, lockscreen,fingerprint or something!
I tried with default_password,too but no way!
There is no way around this. You either need to unlock your bootloader, or just flash back the stock ZTE recovery.
Didn't read op prpoerly.
OK, thank you very much.
If i unlocked the bootloader, twrp want not a decrypt password?
And how unlocked the bootloader with this combination(twrp+rooted b02 Rom). Or is this not possible?
Thanx thanx thanx
When TWRP asks for password, hit "cancel" and then WIPE data.
Just hit cancel and you can still use twrp to flash stuff like xposed and other zips. You just can't place those zips on the internal storage, you will have to place them on a microsd card.

Hello everyone,
I tried to install SuperSU on my Axon7 (by flashing SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550 in TWRP) and after that, my phone doesn't boot anymore.... I still have access to TWRP (3.0.2-2) but I can't access to the system. I tried to restore a backup I made with TWRP and wipe cache, DALVIK and data but it didn't work.
When I try to boot, I'm blocked on the screen "ZTE powered by Android".
How can I restore my stock ROM with TWRP?
PS: I was in stock rom and my model is the B06.
Thanks in advance!!
Is your bootloader unlocked? In such case, my advice is to flash the ZADmix7 ROM to your 2017G from TWRP.
Otherwise you can go back to stock using this guide. If you can access recovery or bootloader, then your brick is a very, very soft brick.

If your BL is still unlocked and you did flash SU2.65 before you should have unlocked it, than you might follow this thread too to unlock your BL first and then flash SU2.65 again

Thanks to you two for your help, I followed this tuto: https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/rom-guide-updates-to-stock-files-via-t3469484 and everything is fine now
I thought that TWRP was enough to install SuperSU... Next time, I will read more carefully the tutos
So I've installed TWRP properly I believe, when I try to flash supersu I get lots of errors on TWRP, what can I do? Also right now I'm in a bootloop please help
This is what I did, I did format data from TWRP so naturally I have no OS installed right now but I can't flash a ROM either since I keep getting Error 1 on TWRP. System partition will mount every now and then and then unmount
can you get screen shoot with other phone ? what is version of twrp you have now ? and phone locked or unlocked?
The problem is that I can't mount data

I think he has unlocked it after the factory reset.
I have a US996 with an unlocked bootloader. I installed TWRP (although I still can't get it to decrypt data). I installed the latest SuperSU - and there were no errors (although without the ability to decrypt, TWRP couldn't wipe Dalvik/cache).
But after rebooting, Root Checker still says I'm not rooted.
What am I doing wrong?
Figured it out. Unless I disable the default encryption to formatting Data, installing SuperSU fails. Once I format Data, the install works properly.

How did you disable default encryption? I flashed twrp but in recovery it always says it had to decrypt in order to mount. I don't know the password twrp is asking for. Thanks
I followed the instructions and flashed TWRP. However it asks for a decrypt password when TWRP loads. How do I get past this? I formatted data twice and I am unable to flash SuperUser since I can't see any mount points. Its read only. Thank you to anyone that can help.
SOLVED:
Here is what I did wrong. After I ran all the dirtycow commands and got permissive root access I rebooted into TWRP. TWRP showed that the sdcard was encrypted. What I kept doing at this step was formatting the sd card which is correct, however I kept rebooting back into system. That was my mistake. I needed to immediately reboot back INTO TWRP RECOVERY instead. Once I rebooted directly back into TWRP recovery after the format I was able to view file system information move su.zip to sd card and install SuperUser.zip from TWRP.
When rooting my H990ds the guide said when TWRP asks for a password just press cancel. It should be the same for you too.

Sorry, the text you quoted from me should have read that disabled default encryption *by* formatting Data. Formatting Data is what takes care of it.
i encrypted my phone after i root it. It's running Lineageos. Encryption works, but if i boot in recovery i can enter folders but don't see any data. I can not mount data folder or add/install anything. Looks logic because it's encrypted, but i read somewhere that twrp will ask for a password when system is encrypted. I don't get this message.
Any suggestion how i need to do it correct? that i can enter twrp with pass

AFAIK you need a recovery that supports encryption.

i have twrp 3.2.1-0, question, how to start the ask password in terminal or recovery mode, if it is possible?
The only recovery i know which does support encryption is the 32 Bit shreps recovery. Do keep in mind that if you encrypt your device and use that recovery you won't be able to flash 64 bit roms since no 64 bit recovery supports encryption
Hi.
I am new to the Nexus 6p.
I want to install Magisk and backup my ROM via TWRP.
I am running stock Oreo 8.1.0 with a password and fingerprint.
I have just unlocked and installed TWRP 3.3.3-1. When I first loaded TWRP it asked me to decrypt data, but I just cancelled it as I thought it wasn't needed. I take it this is wrong?
I have now tried to go back into twrp but I get the Android on its back saying 'no data'. So the twrp flash never stuck.
I am under some confusion whether I need to format userdata or not. The guides I am following are old and don't mention Oreo only Developer preview N. I would prefer not to but if it needs doing it needs doing.
Would removing my fingerprint before flashing twrp help?
Thanks.

You need to boot back into twrp and format data the reboot back to recovery again and advanced wipe system data cache dalvik/art and internal storage if necessary, then flash a custom ROM .
