Anyone else having GPS problems?

Hey guys,
I just noticed my GPS does not seem to work anymore (in maps and other apps using location). I tried toggling it on and off with the widget as well as restarting the device. Any time I try to get "My Location" in google maps, it will say "Waiting for location" for about 10 seconds, followed by "Your location is temporarily unavailable."
Seemed to work yesterday before I rooted the phone... any reason I would suddenly lose that functionality? I didn't touch anything gps related
Edit: Was just some minor wonkyness... may be related to slight data inconsistencies.

[Q] I5800L GPS in Froyo roms

I have a I5800L (from vivo brazil), and when im using the stock eclair rom (VIJG7) my GPS gets a lock in less than 20 seconds. But when i update to ANY froyo rom (Kyrillos, InDroid, XXJPM, XXJPN, XXJPQ ... ) my GPS takes more than 15 minutes to get a lock. I've tried every GPS fix i found here, but it still doesn't work. Do anyone have any ideas?

When I had purchased my phone, I never used to get a lock.
Try this...
1. Look through the forum and you will find ways to configure the ntp server.(gps.conf) file.
2. Get this app called "GPS Status" and "GPS Optimization by octy".
3. Start your GPS using the GPS Optimization and then open GPS Status.
4. Go to tools--> Manage GPS-->Reset
5. Download assistance data.
Initially it will take some time to lock, but as u do this more and more, you wouldn't ever require GPS Status.
Just turn on gps with octy and you will get a lock soon.
Have patience.

When i got my galaxy 3 in Pakistan but set was purchased in UK i got the same problem..sometimes i got fix in 5minutes and sometimes when i am in a car i literally try for hour but i cant get lock...
Then i got through one thread sorry i don't know the exact name having lot of coding to fix gps..in this thread i see simple thing..

it will open the gps setup2 do nothing and come back to your app it will caught 9 10 satellites in few seconds..
hope this will fix your problem..i am using this trick perfectly on my stock rom use offline maps in maverick..

Same problem here froyo messed up GPS.
Phone finds satellites fairly quickly (GPS status) but to get a fix on them takes forever if a fix at all comes.
Did not have this problem before froyo.
Well I did have some GPS problems but now it has become impossible.
Tried all apps I think, GPS boost, GPS aids.

I think I have the weird of all. GPS doesn't work at all. Network does. When I open Maps aftera long gap with wireless network on, it finds my location within 5 seconds, but wait ................. it jumps into completely different location instantly. originally I am from kolkata, it shows the same at first second and just jumps into JAPAN :O:O .. yesterday got the same thing but in different location, but it was within India atleast .. .. it was @ Roorkee, india. Lost all hopes.......... :|

Location Network Provider disabled

Hi,
I have Jiayu G3s with Android 4.2.1.
Most of the times, the Location Network Provider says to be off, although all settings are on. So , Google maps, Foursquare, Facebook and others say that cannot determine my location. Some custom apps I have developed myself don't work either. The NETWORK_PROVIDER says to be disabled (which isn't).
I need to shutdown the device and to remove the battery, to get unstuck.
I also noticed, that after the device being shutdown for some hours (during the night for instance), then when I start it, I get the message "SIM CARD CHANGED". When I get this message, I am almost sure that the location will not work!! I am not sure that the 2 symptoms are related to each other.
Any help appreciated!

gps wrong location even when factory reset

hey i installed fake gps location hola from gplay. i enable mock location, and used hola app to fake location, so i set. when i unninstaled still shows not current location but where i not there, im from lithuanian shows lithuania region but very little mistake milimetres, example shows on google maps,snapchat,and pic shot with gps loc. factory reset dont help! sometimes shows when im current location in my house , but shows 38 house number not 2 my street number. i take picture the same location , shows wrong. example i shoot the same location where the picture i shoot. shows on one maybe correct i dont know but another very mistake location accecuary.. what problem? could be a hola damage gps? factory reset dont help. strange

[HELP] Discover empty, in both app and launcher IN2020

Hello,
i bought a new oneplus 8 pro form tradingshenzhen.com EU warehouse, thinking it would have been the EU device
By the time i realized it wasn't, it was already shipped (from Germany to Italy in under 48 hours, amazing service on that side)
I received a IN2020 device, apparently already flashed by them with Oxygen OS Global 10.5.6
I have 2 problems:
- 5g gets disabled on startup saying it's not supported on dual sim devices ( i can live without 5g)
- googles discover is completely empty, both in "google" app and in launcher (i don't want a phone without my favourite app)
Everything else works
I can switch freely from EU to Global rom, so far i tried:
- global 10.5.6
- global 10.5.8
- EU 10.5.6
- EU 10.5.8
Everytime i wipe everything (phone boots ok even without wiping, even interregional flashing), setup hangs on google services "only one second/solo un secondo"
I tried postponing setup, on each rom, sometimes i get the message "can't reach google" (in italian), but not anymore on 10.5.8 global, but still no news or anything in discover
I tried resetting google play services and google app, clearing cache, everything i could find to solve discover issues on google search, i'm out of options so now i turn to you hoping for help before returning the phone
I included 3 screenshot showing discover on launcher, app, and app settings showing discover is enabled (and yes i tried disabling enabling both in app settings and in launcher settings)
I have the feeling this device is somehow "blacklisted", maybe cause it was first turned on in china for flashing?

I wanted to add: if i go back to my Redmi Note 8 Pro everything works as expected, so i think there should be nothing wrong on my google account side

Another thing i noticed: i opened the app Xiaomi Home (to manage my webcams), first thing it's asking is my location and the seggested country was Germany, not Italy
Could this be related to google discover not working?

Anyway, i managed to finally fix it, i just don't know how
