Hi, no matter what wallpaper I set through settings or the gallery, after some time it changes to some kind of a live wallpaper which keeps changing periodically. I didn't find any setting related to this, it just won't keep my wallpaper.
Lockscreen has no such issues.
Did I miss some settings? I appreciate any help.
hi,have you try this way. Settings- Themes& wallpapers-Wallpaters-Static Wallpaper- select one wallpater-Apply
Thank you for the suggestion but I found out that Arrow Launcher has Bing live wallpaper set as default and I needed to change that.
I have somewhat similar problem, whatever wallpaper I choose it keeps changing back to default.

While I did resolve my problem, I did not experience the behavior you are describing. In my case, Arrow Launcher was the culprit (by default it sets bing live wallpaper). It could be something similar on your end.

I'm running ShubCraft 1.5 and trying to find a way of changing the wallpaper in the default lockscreen. I have tried LockBot but it was very buggy, half the time didn't stop the default lock screen from appearing (meaning I had two lock screens) and seemed to effect battery life, not to mention removing my Handcent SMS notifications. It was basically unusable.
I have searched to no avail, does anyone know how to change the lockscreen wallpaper without effecting the default homesceeen one?
Cheers.
I know when I was playing with the cyanogen no them version there was two options for changing main and lock wallpaper. That may have something to do with Adw launcher and I take that off right away. so have a looksy at or around those settings.
Edit apparently when the phone locks what you're actually seen is you home wallpaper and thats why its the same.
Hey All,
I'm working with a Notion Ink adam, but based off a bunch of the Nook Color/Gtab/Galaxy Tab threads, this isn't isolated to the adam.
I'm running into an issue where the following occurs: from stock, I can set 1024x600 wallpapers in gallery/desktop/etc, and they'll be full screen, centered, and uncropped. As soon as I install any custom launcher(so far, I've tested with the new VTL.launcher, Launcher Pro, ADW, zeam) the wallpaper gets stretched as if it was going to scroll, but scrolling all the way to the side still doesn't display the whole wallpaper.
In fact, from that point on, I can no longer set a 1024x600 wallpaper as a desktop, as it thinks it's not the right height/width and stretches then crops it. If I try to manually crop in Gallery, it only allows me to expand it to a 4:3 square, instead of the full screen.
This does not resolve itself after uninstalling the other launchers, and in fact, the only way I've found to permanently fix it, is to factory reset.
I've been doing some tinkering, and discovered that under /data/system, there is a "Wallpaper_info.xml" which lists the wallpaper height/width. Since installing a launcher, it lists the height as 1024, and the width as 1200, which isn't really correct at all. However, if I manually change that to 600 and 1024, respectively, then hard reboot, the wallpaper I've set will display correctly until I go off of the homescreen and come back, or lock the device.
This makes me think something within the launchers are changing what android believes the resolution and/or wallpaper size should be. However, I have no idea what service I could clear the data on to make this revert without a factory reset.
Any insight on what would cause this type of change is greatly appreciated.
As a few extra asides: I've tried Wallpaper Wizardrii and Wallpaper set and save, set and save still shows a cropped image, Wizardrii makes black bars appear above the top and bottom.
Thanks,
-Eujin
I've ran into the same exact problem after installing, then uninstalling, MIUI Launcher. Anyone know a fix?
Hi, no matter what I do, if I change the home screen wallpaper, it always changes back to the default wallpaper after the next reboot. It's really annoying, and I'm not sure how to fix it. Would love help from someone who has experienced and fixed this please.
Cheers,
Pete
I have tried everything, changing screen resolution, DPI, screen zoom, etc. But I just cannot stop the screen from going below the bottom of the phone. Happening on the lockscreen and a few others, strange thing is does not happen on all apps.
Does anyone know how you stop this? Thank you.
Hi,
not sure it'll help, but under settings, there in the display settings is a option for "full screen apps"
Give it a try?
Did you try doing a factory reset
No I haven't done a factory reset as that is really the only issue, and everything else is running like a charm. Don t think it deserves hours of setting up again and no guarantees that it fixes the problem.
It's Lockstar causing that behaviour...
Give it up. Use the stock lockscreen.
That's what I did... Lockstar many times give me weird elements positioninig

Tried that, stock lock screen still does exactly the same. And it cuts off a few other app menus, but not all which is weird.
Strange thing I have noticed, I was playing a game waiting for the doctor yesterday, when I was called I switched off the screen without exiting the game. Later when I turned on the screen again all the icons were visible in the right places. Some kind of DPI graphics change when the game runs I imagine?
Found the issues causing this problem.
I enabled navigation gestures in settings rather than navigation buttons.
Fluid Navigation was set to hide navigation bar, I set this to do not hide.
Both the lockscreen and all other offsets no longer occur.
Recently got the OTA update to upgrade from android 9 to 10.
I was glad to notice that it comes with miui theme manager and decided to change the default theme to available ones in theme market.
However, no matter what theme I select and apply, it automatically resets to default theme, wallpaper and lock-screen.
I did a factory reset, changed region from India to taiwan, us, uk, etc but they did not fix the issue.
Did anyone get this issue? Found any workaround?

I have noticed the same, I saw in another forum that removing the optimizations miui is fixed but what has worked best for me is to leave the themes in dark mode, if you change it to light mode it is when the theme is removed the most

I tried all these. Turned off miui optimization in developer settings. Turned on Dark mode all the time. Did not even changed the theme.
But just tried to set an wallpaper from settings -> wallpaper -> Themes -> Wallpapers. Selected wallpaper remains good for some random time and then all back to default stock green wallpaper.
I did face the same issue

No problem. I flashed Android 9 a day ago and I'm very much happy with older Android than bugged miui11.
I have discovered when you select a theme, don't should change anything, then the theme will not restart and wallpaper keep, the bad thing is you can't put other wallpaper or font :/
When changing a theme are you able to get rid of the green accents? I'm not a fan of green and I'm curious if this is possible on this phone.
Many thanks!

Yes, there are some themes that change those tones, you just have to look for one and try it or you can install one shade, it is in the play store
Is there anyway you can attach a screenshot of how it changes it? I'm just really curious she many thanks for the response!

Shark space do that and if you disable/enable MiUi optimizations from developer settings.
