Suggestion for the forums...

I have a suggestion on the description of the Fascinate Android Development sub-forum. Whoever is in charge of naming the forums should put in parenthesis, "(A place to share your work)."
Another suggestion: the screen for posting new threads should make the user answer the following questions before enabling the "submit" button:
1. Are you posting a ROM, kernel, or mod?
2. Are you posting (or porting) a new theme or app?
3. Are you posting about an accessory for the Fascinate?
The answers to the above questions would determine which section the new thread is posted to (if the answer is "no" to all 3 questions, the new thread automatically gets posted to "general"
Another Fascinating post by my XDA app...

Nook Touch General a question and answer forum?

From the main Nook Touch page, the description for this subforum specifically says that it is a Q&A forum: "(general Q&A, tips & tricks, etc)", yet, when on the post new thread page, when you select "Yes, this thread is a Question!" it says that you are breaking the rules. If this subforum is not a Q&A forum, then why is that said in the forum description at http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1198 ?

Odd, I'm betting this sub-fora was just incorrectly flagged. I'll have a senior take a look at it, thanks.
Edit - should be fixed now!

Do NOT post question threads in General section!

General section is not the place to post your question.
In order to keep the forum organized use Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section instead.
If your thread can be phrased as a question, it doesn't belong in General and DEFINITELY not in Development.
Your threads will be either moved or closed or deleted without notice.
Use the report button when necessary.
Thank you.

**All Questions go in the Q&A, Help, & Troubleshooting Section**

If you are asking a question, please post it in the Q&A section. It's there for a reason. Please use it!
We have had way too many questions posted in general lately.
Future violations are subject to be deleted without warning. Repeat offenders will result in further action.
Thanks,
El Daddy
Ok folks, I have re-opened this sticky thread to make a point.
QUESTIONS belong in the QUESTION and ANSWER section. If you are have trouble with your phone and want to troubleshoot, it belongs in the QUESTION and ANSWER section.
This general section is creating about 6-10 reports per day as users post questions in here. Its an easy concept
If your post ends in a "?" its a question and should be in Q&A
If you are wanting a reply to your post that will give you more information, you are asking a question, post it in Q&A
If you are asking how to fix your phone, post it in Q&A
If you are having issues with your phone and want to know how to fix it, post it in Q&A
In future I may start just deleting threads instead of politely moving them to Q&A for you....
Thanks for your co-operation.

***** QUESTIONS DO NOT BELONG HERE ******

Any questions posted within the general section will be moved to the Q&A section, Always remember to search before posting to be sure that your question hasn't already been asked and answered within another thread.
