hello!
I have galaxy s4 i9500.
stock rom 4.4.2
I tried to flash 2 recoveries (philz and twrp) in both odin and flash from the stock recovery, but none of them worked!
I just want to flash one of this two recoveries so I will be able to flash a custom rom.
instead of working, the recovery stays the stock's recovery.
what should I do?
sorry for my bad English.
thanks!!
Uncheck auto-reboot before flashing with Odin. That should probably fix it.

I ran into the same problem, flashed TWRP 3 times and KNOX remained 0x0 and recovery remained stock
Ended up having to use CF Auto Root to gain root, then use TWRP Manager to flash TWRP

Maybe reflash original firmware via odin? And sure that you Have a N9005? Cause the N9005 is the international version.

maybe... but how did you come to downloadmode? The correct way is to pull battery, wait a minute and replace it. Than start into downloadmode using Homebutton/Volume down/Poweron. Than connect your phone with computer and if your device is recognized start Odin. Perhaps that's the key to your problem.

Hi all,
I have rooted my device (galaxy s4 I9505) and i had installed custom rom (cm13 last update). When i turned on the phone it's touch screen doesn't work. I tried to update using odin but it give me error in aboot.mbm
Thanks to all for support!

Did you make a nandroid backup before flashing the rom. If yes try restoring it from the recovery. If you didnt, try reseting the phone.

Then you flashed a rom that is not for your device. What does it say your model is when booted into download mode?
Odin stops at aboot file because you re trying to flash a bootloader that is not meant for the phone that has been detected by Odin.

What "update" are you talking that you tried to flash via odin??
AFAIK there are very little custom roms that are odin flashable. Did you follow the proper steps?
Also are you sure you did not flash something related to i9500 to your device?
Try flashing a newer stock ROM in Odin. Touch is not required to flash with Odin.

My Phone model is i9505 in download mode but when i turn it on, in the logo screen (under the Samsung text) is write i9515.
Was the phone brand new when you got it? Does the imei match the imei on the label underneath the battery? Is it possible you flashed an i9515 bootloader onto your i9505?

You got an i9515. All the systems your describe are because you are trying to flash roms that are not for your device. I don't believe that in download mode it will say that you have an i9505.

Is there any solution?
Maybe the phone's motherboard was from a 9515? Does the imei in the phone match the outside label? This is very important to know.
Flashing the wrong bootloader will brick the phone.

Install S4 Stock Lollipop
What rom are you trying to flash? The aboot.mbn error occurs because the bootloader in the phone is not compatible with the rom.
Does download mode say the phone is 9505 or 9515?
