Problem after Updating Firmware to above APD1 - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I flashed the newest firmware considering that it will be smoother. And now I can't even go back. Flashing the G935FXXU1BPIO, the latest update but it still produced the same error. Now, even if I go back and flash any earlier firmware, it would give me the same error "Random Reboot". Digging into deep for two days what I found that flashing any custom kernel using flashfire, would trigger the error "E cannot mount /data (Invalid argument)" in recovery. This was strange, as I was flashing the same kernel, same stock firmware and same autoroot. The recovery will always say G935FXXU1BPH6. Now, if I flash anything on flashfire, I face the same thing. Is it a bug in flashfire or anything wrong with my device? Anyone else facing this?

So my brand new SD care went corrupt while I had a lot of programs running from it... By means of Link2SD app I put system files on there too and now I get
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
I can't seem to fix this problem and it doesn't seem that this problem arises very often because I have found nothing in searching. Any help would be great... I don't want to have to put a hammer to it and then call Asurion for a replacement..... but that does sound fun lol.
I have tried to Odin everything I have in my backups but not sure if any of those are actually the original rom. I have been trying to figure out how to Odin CM or TWRP on to it... or get them install in some form with out the APK. I saw something about them being able to fix the issue.
Have you tried using ODIN and flashing back to a fresh, stock ROM?
I forgot to put all that. I have tried to Odin everything I have in my backups but not sure if any of those are actually the original rom. Our phones do not support CM or TWRP because we have a locked bootloader. You are on a Verizon G900V, right?
Here's a link to a post with stock ROMs you can Flash via Odin. Choose the appropriate one for the version you want and Flash. Make sure you back up anythibg you want to save.

It doesn't matter what I flash I get the same error. The other things I have found say that the system and/or EFS needs to be re-made so to speak. TWRP has a command that does it and CM allows you to go in though ADB and do it..... That is the best I have found for answers so far. I don't see anything for FlashFire or SuperUser.
Flash using ODIN not FlashFire or anything else.
I have flashed with Odin.... I get no where.... doesn't matter what kernel I use or ROM or anything.... I was saying that the people that have solved this porblem before are using CW or TWRP to access the ADB to send commands for the phone to re-setup the system/EFS
Did you Flash the pit file on the page I linked earlier? That should repartition everything.
Still the same problem
So I just kept flashing tar files from the post above and finally the NI2 took along with the pit file. Thanks for your help @btonetbone
Eventually the NI2 + .pit file being flashed together fixed the problem.

safestrap....unable to mount /system...potential brick??

have rooted s5 on 4.4.4 nk2. Have been trying to install custom roms via safestrap. Apparently i am missing a step. I wipe data, try to install twi5ted Lollipop on custom rom slot....blank screen for over 30 min after reboot, phone gets real hot, take battery out. Try to install on stock rom slot, reboot then get stuck in boot loop and keeps booting into system recovery. I then saw through my hours of searching to format instead of wipe....so i format then try to install, get stuck again, take battery out, get back to safestrap dash now when i try to wipe/format/or even restore my backup it says unable to mount system. When i click reboot system it says no OS installed. After reboot, my custom slot gets erased.
I was about to try an odin flash back to stock but some how was able to get my phone back to a system restore. Why can i not get anything installed? Do i have to have odin to do a custom rom install?????? i know every rom is different but wtf. I have seen multiple videos and threads of people flashing zip via safestrap and rebooting into new rom without flashing kernals via odin or safestrap after rom install.
Also...my phone will not let me download zip files (ex. cm12.1) says unable to create download folder....how close to F'in my phone up am i? I have successfully rooted all phones in the past...s5 is giving me hell!
I just tried installing rom after format, then flash nk2 kernel from odin, still gives boot loop....ive tried everything i have found..never this much problem with custom rom..
When you try to install twisted it needs lollipop firmware which is flashed on odin, and based on your statement it says you're on NK2, a kitkat firmware. Try flashing a stock ncg tar and rerouting, downloading apps, etc. on the phone to see if that works. Also, I noticed you mentioned a cm 12.1 zip not downloading which, while unrelated to your current problem, will cause a bootloop when flashed due to the locked bootloader on the S5, so it isn't a smart idea to even attempt an install.

thanks, i will try fresh from start ncg. so you have to be on the current kernel that you are flashing a rom for, whether its CM, Twi5ted, Alliance...etc i need to be on rooted 5.0 kernel then flash rom via safestrap?
i was having problems downloading from internet on phone, not downloading rom if thats what you thought i meant. I just tried installing zip for CM 12 via safestrap and got same issue. Phone reboots, goes to black screen and eventually heats up like crazy. .... I just noticed, after my restore ...again... it says safestrap disabled in red on the boot screen, why is that? it says installed and tried reinstalling.
FIXED
So i flashed ncg from odin on the messed up phone and got messed up worse. Ended up getting stuck on first boot image of samsung android s5 boot screen. Finally found original stock firmare file and used odin to complete install stock os and got rid of root. Now back to normal... luckily i figured it out my self! thanks to the 100's who viewed and didnt help and thanks to mrjiggywiggy for giving me some input to help out!

Partition Doesn't Exist

I'm coming across an error that I haven't seen before. when trying to flash TWRP recovery so I can flash the rom. "remote: partition doesn't exist". Anyone know what's causing it? I'm rooted through KingRoot, but regardless of what I try with flashing a recovery or unlocking the bootloader I keep getting the same error.
Edit: Forgot to mention Version and Firmware.. A500KL, WW Firmware.

Phone stuck on AT&T logo after trying to FlashFire Xposed firmware (SM-935A)

Hey guys. Yesterday, I rooted my S7 Edge (successfully, using the method on galaxys7root.com), got SuperSU flashed and everything was fine. Then, realizing that I couldn't use a custom recovery due to there not being one for the Edge variant I have, I tried to use FlashFire by Chainfire to get Xposed on the phone. It ran and restarted, but got stuck on the at&t screen. After leaving it for an hour. I went into the recovery, and found this message:
dm-verity verification failed...
After looking around online, I tried to factory reset the phone, wipe cache partition, and use ODIN to put the stock firmware on. When ODIN replied to my attempt to put the stock firmware on with a failure (complete(Write) operation failed.) going back into the recovery revealed a new error:
E: ensure_path_unmounted failed to unmount /efs (Device or resource busy)
At this point, I'm in way over my head, and if anyone could help me out to get my phone working at all, rooted or not, I'd greatly appreciate it.

[HELP] dm-verity failing and can't flash twrp through download mode/odin

Hey guys
I recently was getting some issues with my imei so I decided to flash stock firmware.
I had flashed stock many times without it booting, then realising it was a dm-verity issue so I flashed twrp and flashed the no-very zip as per usual.
After a few reboots, I was getting errors saying "only verified firmware allowed to be flashed" or something like that, so I decided to reflash stock firmware.
I can't boot into stock firmware due to dm-verity failing and I can't flash twrp in odin/download mode due to the error showing in download mode when i attempt to flash twrp.
i've tried reflashing stock firmware but that hasnt helped
what do i do??
