Hi!
Ater long searching i found the apk to install XBMC for JB 4.2.2 . I suppose its also works for android 4.0+.
Before installing download MX player free + MX Player Codec (ARMv7) from Google Play.
Run MX Player. Choose Settings , Decoder. Activate S/W audio. Close MX player.
Then install XBMC . The name of the apk is: xbmcapp-armeabi-v7a-debug-2013-03-03-no-neon-xaf-touch-dce2095627b1caf6efc4ea0a937e40f295130409.apk.
Sorry, i am new here, so i can not post links at the moment, but you can found this apk on XDA ( Android Development and Hacking > Android Apps and Games > [APP][2.3+][Weekly Builds] XBMC For Android Nightlies)
Playing video's can have a video delay with HD files (720+), so i use 480 without any problems. I am trying to solve the 720 resolution.
(Thanks to Michael Crosson)
Have Fun!!
Marcel
Hello guys!
I have a Sony W808c Android TV and I'm trying to find a 3D capable video player even if its not specially made for AndroidTV.
With Air Share/Launch I installed aDownloader an BitX torrent apps and they work great. Unfortunately MX player and VLC play the 3D movies side by side and the TV is not recognizing it as a 3D signal.
Tried 3DVPlayer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vstar3d.player but it's just able to overlap them as a 2D video or play 3D analygraph.
In Youtube I have found a lot of 3D videos that play nicely with my Samsung active glasses.
hi guys,
i recently bought MX10 android tv box (RK3328) for playing 10bit H264(x264) videos.
There is some media player app preinstalled and 10bit H264 works flawlessly, but is really, really crapy with subtitles.
So i searched for alternative, but can´t find anything, that works with 10bit.
VLC - no support, MX Player - no support, KODI - no support.
KODI forks: FTMC and X-Media Center - these should work (according to developers), but when i enable RKCodec acceleration they just crash attempting to play a file.
Is there anything that actually works correctly on RK3328 ?

Have a look here mate.
https://www.cnxplayer.com/android.php
Tried CNX today and same story again. It plays on CPU, not HW accelerated = slideshow.
Then i found HashTech Go Player which plays 10bit x264 perfectly on RK3328, but without subtitles, so its useless. Also is really bad with remote control.

Can anyone suggest video streaming apps that work with Android head units? I have a Joying 9 inch android 10.1 model. Xfinity, Prime, Nextflix do not work as I have tried. Some of Plex movies work. Wondering if you guys know of any others?
I would hazard to guess that some movies aren't playing because you haven't got the right codecs or streaming protocols installed on your machine so the movie can't be properly decoded. Try installing/using VLC FOR ANDROID. It's probably the most detailed player there is for codecs/streaming protocols and can play just about anything.
