well this morning...the notification has stopped blinking...but its always there...only way to remove it is to turn off the stand alone GPS in location settings..
I'm starting to second guess my self here and thinking I've been reading the battery stats all wrong this whole time. The WiFi bar is consistently full and blue when my WiFi is off. Does this mean my WiFi is always on?

There's a setting for that.
Yes it is. Go to the wifi settings and change "Scanning always available"
Ever since I updated to KitKat, I get these notifications whenever I turn on/off wifi or my data.
I do this everyday when I get to work because the signal is bad in the building.
I use the quick toggle in the notifications bar, and then this asks you again if you want to turn it off.
Is there anyway to turn this off?
Carrier is verizon if that matters.
Thanks

bueller?
I can't figure out how to shut the damn thing off once I start it. The power button mutes the full unit, so not even map directions come through. Hope I just have not figured it out yet, if it really can not be done without switching to another application that is a significant bug.

Yes you can. Pull down the top bar (where you can turn on/off wifi), under the wifi logo there is an option to turn it on and off. I don't know what its called, but it has a weird description. Good luck
I will try thanks for your help
Floating bar, in extra settings.
