Has anyone tried a display link dock with this phone?

I can see from some old threads that the basic charging dock doesn't have USB out. Is this also the case for the one with speakers, it says it has HDMI passthrough, but doesn't mention USB?
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks!
No
Unfortunately the speaker dock does not have a USB port.
Hay all,
I got one of these recently to connect to one of my monitors.
My monitor has a display port not HDMI and I have an adaptor for it this one.
It fits well and all, but my device will not power on when plug in via this adapter, I've seen a few issues with this but cant find a answer if there is one.
Has anyone encountered this problem?
Has anyone fixed it or has an idea?
Any help would be appreciated

From displayport.org;
Q: I just purchased a monitor that only has a DisplayPort connection. How can I hook this up to my computer that only has VGA, DVI or HDMI?
A: There is not a cost effective way to do this. The adaptors that are available only work from a DP computer to a VGA, DVI or HDMI monitor and not the other way around. If you have a desktop you can purchase a graphics card with DisplayPort. Our best advice: Before you purchase a DP only monitor make sure you have DP on your computer.
Basically, you can't use the DisplayPort connection on your monitor with ANY device that only has VGA, DVI, or HDMI outputs, without the use of an expensive converter that may not produce acceptable results. Please follow Dave's advice and try to use a HDMI-to-DVI adapter.

Solution was used a HDMI to DVI... or anything else really not a display port
Im looking for a MHL dock so for use in my car, had anyone got any recommendations ?
Hi guys, is there a way to mirror the phone's screen to other display (let it be a monitor or TV) using USB-C->HDMI cable? Does it matter what cable to buy? Can you recommend one? Are there any caveats to this? Do I need to set the phone somehow or install some app?
Thanks a lot
It will just work from my experience...
I've also bought this thing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078X9N26D/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works as dex station if connected to power supply and as hdmi if not.
The only bug for this is that it slowly discharges your phone even if it's connected to power...
it works, you don't need a Dex pad anymore.
I believe any usb c to HDMI will work, but I would recommend using a wireless charger with it.
Probably better off just getting the dex station cause either way you go it would be the same amount of money cause I wouldn't recommend going cheap
I know it's ridiculous to ask; but would a NIntendo Switch Dock actually work? Considering it's similar, and the board can be taken to a Very small case, essentially, a mini dock

In Android Q beta, you can get DEX by using your regular USB cable with the PC
Could anyone, please, let me know if there is a way to use the USB type-C connector to cast video to a HDMI input? I have a Moto G6 Plus connected to a EKSA ET9-H HUB which has HDMI and VGA outputs, but none of them delivers video signal to my TV.
Thanks in advanced.

You would need to have USB 3.1 Gen 2 phone to support such an output/input, whereas Moto G6 Plus has USB 2.0 only over USB-C connector to offer. Better duplicate your screen via chromecast-like device. If you need input you would need some kind of supported video-grabber over USB OTG I suppose.
Thanks. A very clear answer.
