Can someone recommend me a ROM for battery? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
Could someone recommend me a ROM for N910G that's great on battery? I don't really care about features or performance that much.
I pretty much only use my phone for browsing, facebook, messenger, whatsapp and snapchat.
I've tried many roms but I can't find one thats great for battery..
I'm currently on Nameless V4 MM but I'm only getting around 2.5 hr SOT. Emotion ASOP MM was awesome but I had an mobile standby battery issue and CMRemix has too many problems

Official stock Kitkat with Greenify, Servicely, and Amplify xposed module. Disable all system apps you do not need.

Had my note 4 for about 2 years now. I think it's due for a battery replacement

I replace batteries after 1 year. They degrade each time you charge them. One user got almost 10 hours SOT on Fire Kat without reduced functionality.

[Q] Best Kernel/ ROM combo for battery life

Hello All !
I have a Note 3 (SM-N900T) and my battery is fairly well not the best. After doing some battery analysis. My kernel keeps my phone awake among other apps which have been uninstalled.
My question is can anyone recommend a ROM that is fairly close to pure Android but still has S-Pen functionality . I want a ROM that is easily less than a Gb in size as its much easier on the system plus I also want a kernel which has the best battery performance and if their are professionals out their, can anyone recommend me some underclocking/ volting settings. I'm not a professional by any means but like others i'm fairly keen to learn. I would like a phone that easily gets me passed a day or even nearly 2 days of battery life. I'm not a heavy user of my phone, I switch off all toggles when not in use, i regularly greenify all apps, my screen brightness is always low and yet for some reason even a mundane task of watching a 5 minute video off youtube drains my battery by 3% or more.

[Q] Android lollipop (Verizon VS980) Battery Life

My sister has an LG G2 like I have has upgraded to the new lollipop and has told me battery life sucks. She is thinking about having me redo it back to stock 4.4.2 27A. She is not one of us who rooted or put custom roms on the phone. My question are you guys getting less battery life now that your on lollipop or it is something else. Feedback is needed.

It honestly depends on settings and usage, but in general battery life hasn't been as good as kk. I personally still use 39a but the kdz for 28a is available plus other roms.

yes, becouse it was very big update
You should check if Google play services has multiple active processes, that is usually the culprit every since Google added services to it. There are probably other background apps like Facebook, emails, and so on.

Best battery friendly MM ROM?

Anyone has the most battery friendly combination of ROM and kernel? I've tried almost every MM ROM but doesn't satisfy me. I just bought a new battery recently for my D802 and still draining fast. Im using latest bumped twrp. I have never had an SOT of more than 4 hours of normal usage. Now I'm barely getting 3 hours sot and it sucks. So any tips will be appreciated thanks!
Hi,
the PA-Rom is very battery friendly.

I've tried that too. What kernel tweak you use and settings?
I should have mentioned that I have been using the Lambda Domino Stable kernel and the efficiency battery profile. I also use Greenify for doze on the go (aggressive doze).
I use PA with the original Kernel. Battery life is for me like Stock KitKat.

I once use beanstalk and the battery is really fine but when i changed ROM and install again Beanstalk battery was never the same. I don't know what went wrong. I've always used greenify.
Using PA with Lambda Hipnose Beta 9 kernel right now. Using lots of alarm/wakelock blocks etc with amplify and greenify. Battery life seems okay, but I'm asking myself if exodus, beanstalk or resurrection remix would do better? Did anyone try and can make a direct comparison? I care more about battery life than about performance tbh. Thanks in advance!

crdroid was great, with aggressive doze !
Currently on XOSP with latest lambda beta. Averaging 4hours SOT from 100 to drain. Basically lasts a day with minimal gaming and mostly web surfing, youtube and facebook. Performance kinda lags but tolerable.

This isn't a marshamallow ton but if you want best of both worlds trust me and try ice rom v5.9 final it's actually as some with the camera battery life evrything it's fluid. Trust me try it you won't regret it even though it's lolipop based
Otherwise if you really like marshmallow I really liked aokp but I'm sticking with the ice ton you can find it on 4dpa

Just overwhelmed on my n6 stock 8 SOT

Edit: nothing to see here, only 6:17 hours, with only 2% remaining. For some reason the screen jumped on draining battery i guess.
Hello there! I was just on my way to home and i have some minutes to write about what is being a VERY nice surprise: just 4 hours on SOT and 48% battery yet.
My personal recipe, just begun on a lot of testing custom roms that will only deliver at most like 4 hours on sot, and maybe less.
So, here's my test:
Stock MM rom - decrypted
Pico gapps
Normal apps like Facebook, ig, lnkdn, wsap, here maps and others.
I know, and i'm aware about the security issues, and i was thinking on a replacement phone, yhe hell that i'm going to let down my beloved MOTO N6; i whish that this phone would have a 4000mah battery.
Best phone ever.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I can't upload pics, but i will upload as soon as possible on a desktop, and coz i don't have a tapaccount, but just to make things clear i been testing and using a lot of custom roms, included these ones that claim bug-free oses.
Well, i would whish a clean MIUI launcher and i would be done with this.

Yeah, flashed through NRT, and then flashed picogapps in recovery.
To clarify things:
the phone has stock android mm mob31t (flashed with NRT for unencrypted data partition)
Lastest recovery teamwin 3.0.3
Picogapps.
Some minor tweaks in settings, like enabled dev, for sppeding animations. Gps on device only.

Not that much, he's rooted and encryption disabled.
I turned off every feature I don't use. I activate a feature, only when I need it, just as long as I need it.
(BT always off, Wifi when needed, data always on, NFC always disabled, Ambiant display disabled, greenified everything, set a true black theme with black wallpaper, no gesture, LED activated)
You can earn maybe one or two SOT hours more, but you have to lower the resolution/density. (That increase perfomances too)
Edit: You can reach 10h SOT without lowering screen density... (while calling/texting/browsing/networking/youtubing)

Did not try Paranoid, but I read that it isn't stable at that time.
PN is stable, have nice features and is well updated. Good perfs and battery life.
In my case, I don't want to switch to another because PN works fine. And I learned to keep working things instead of switching and take the risk that it won't work anymore..

Good to know, how i can apply a dark teme? I'm on stock kernel, in some moment i did test the lowerin resolution too but i was unable to check any difference, i will check that again.
I did test the pure nexus too, and never reached the 5 hours on SOT, plus a little buggy for that time, (two months ago)

If I am right, layers on MM can be changed with RRO Layers, which is now deprecated.
You'll have to download the RRO LAyer manager and then somme layers of your choice.
If you wanna lower screen density, the better choice is 720p because of the homothetic proportions. (otherwise, some icons may be bugged)
I forgot, I try to avoid heavy apps. I did not install facebook and created a shortcut to fbchrome's page. Same thing with Tweeter.
GPS also disabled if not needed

Please let us know. I'm installing a droid turbo battery (3900mah) in my Nexus 6 soon. The zerolemon note 4 I had broke that phone isn't any where near as smooth as the Nexus but I still miss the insane battery life. I'm willing to buy an e4 plus if the battery connects. The Nexus 6 was my girlfriend's old phone she upgraded to the s8 plus.

I'll see if it fits this weekend. I'm currently using a Moto Z Play and the battery life is off the charts.
I have about 4-5 Nexus 6's that I can tinker with and about 2-3 Droid Turbo's that have good batteries also

It will fit with some modifications. Check this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/help/battery-mod-t3536162 . Ordered a new Nexus 6 mid housing on Amazon for 10$ just in case I mess mine up. I'll post some pics this weekend. My battery life now is terrible.. Figured if I need to replace the battery anyways might as well upgrade it.
So I did the Droid turbo battery swap. So far so good battery life seems way better than the stock dying battery. I did have to modify the frame some to make the battery and back cover fit.Wireless charging and everything works.

Does it worth rooting to improve battery life?

Hi, I have Samsung SM-G935F Dual sim phone (bought used) and today I replaced it's battery thinking there was an issue with the batter as it was draining like 1% after 3 minutes with SOT but with the replaced battery I have the same effect. Searching through the internet I came to know that this phone has awesome battery backup but I wasn't able to witness it myself so far. The cell is pretty good with screen off but with screen on the battery drains fast. Under heavy usage it lasts for 6-7 hours max. Youtube, Whatsapp, Facebook.
So should I install a custom rom? I don't think so as many people have said this phone's battery time is impressive.
Any feedback would be appreciated. P.s. I'm' on latest Oreo 8.0.0 and I can't get to the battery usage screen either no any other application helps. Thanks in advance. I wasted 7$ on battery already.

S7 Edge has a good battery backup. If you are running stock ROM then your phone should be filled up with bloatware as well. You can give a try by rooting and installing a custom ROM. Even after custom ROM, if your battery drains as before then it could be an hardware issue.
