Discussions related to Google Pixel XL used/bought in/out of Philippines goes here. Please avoid OT as far as possible.
I hope this becomes available in Philippines ASAP.
I just have 5 frustrations with this phone
1. The Price
2. With that price it should be Water resistant
3. No Front Speaker
4. The huge bottom Bezel, it makes the phone ugly
5. no OIS, I still prefer OIS than EIS no matter how good the EIS implementation now
I'm gonna ROFL when the grey market sellers listings go up. Without any local distributor, they only have themselves to compete against.
As for myself, never gonna buy a phone that costs as much as an excellent tier PC build.

Most probably grey markets (Kimstore, Hotgadgets, etc). HTC isn't officially distributed here.
Or you can buy abroad.

they are indeed fakes, but many of them have very nice features that Real brand names one doesn't offer
at Deal Xtreme you can also find a lot of those
the Android ones are specially good, as you can pretty much do anything you want with it and make you own ROMs
some other with locked in weird concoction of chinese OS might not be the greatest, but offer full features, and more than regular phones doesn't have
many which caught my eyes were among:
projector
tv
solar powered
crank powered
2 SIM
CDMA + GSM
waterproof
etc...
unfortunately all of them came with crappy OSes
however i really like the projector one, it's soooo cool
thank God , there is no
"HiPhone GaGaXy" or "HiPhone Galaxx" or anything else.
If they put in better displays they could be onto something lol
Read some of the questions. The answers are great.
Q. What resolution camera does it have?
A. It has a 0.3 mega pixel cam which gives ery clear pictures for you.
They can copy everything, it is so amusing and crazy. Such a crazy country.
Here are some pictures of the factory where these may have been made from....

Can you believe it? That is their solution. Sorry for such life.
Actually Foxconn makes the genuine Apple devices, not the fakes.

I was searching on eBay for a Samsung Galaxy Black Edition (the one with a black screen and a Note 3 style leather textured back):

Then I came across this quite sleek looking Prototype Samsung Galaxy S4 Developer Edition:
And I thought to myself: "I must get one."
It has a black, logo-less rectangular screen with square corners, and a logo-less matte plastic back cover. In my opinion, this prototype looks much better than the mass produced model. Does anyone here own one? If so, what's it like?
Get it and dump everything

I wish I could, but a few things are steering me away from it:
1. It's a US phone, and apparently it's locked to US Cellular (I live in Australia)
2. It's a CDMA phone, so I'm not sure about its compatibility with Aussie networks
3. They're a US seller, so postage might be a bit of a pain because they "May not ship to Australia"
Looks to me like it won't be much use in Australia. I'd give it a miss.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking as well. Still, it's a fascinating phone.

Google doesn't give a **** about us and this won't do anything
This thread is stupid... Don't like it don't buy it.
This "boycott" is laughable
Yeah... No.
I'll sell you mine this time next year if you like?
This phone should be $500 at the most. To charge $650 is insane. I'll probably wait to catch the phone on EBay Daily Deals in 6 months.

Lmaoooo My girlfriend got the nexus 6 tatted because she thought it was going to be 5.2 and now we find out it really is 5.9 she is so pissed!!!!!
Please close this stupid thread! You think the hardware in this beast is cheap? 650 is fine with me! Go buy a nexus 5 if you want "cheap" since it doesn't come close to the badasseness of this phone!
Daft thread alert.

Smaller yes, but if you want it to be more affordable prepare to live with a poor battery, camera and washed out screen just like the Nexus 5.
Do you want some cheese to go with that WHINE???
Due to the lack of anything in this thread I have closed it.

Guys, I've made a huge mistake. I cracked the screen on the 6p and I can't stand looking at it like this. How do I go about getting it fixed? As far as I know, just the screen is cracked. There are no more issues. Any help or advice from you smarter veterans?

Pretty straightforward, actually. Cracked screens aren't covered by limited manufacturer warranty. So you have pretty much 3 choices;
1) Buy a new 6P
2) Buy a replacement online and fix it yourself. You can search YouTube for tutorials on how to do this.
3) Take it to a local phone repair shop.
Nice carpet, by the way. I like it.

In November, my contract with provider expires, so in that time I'll get P10 plus with contract renewal.
Now, few questions that I'm interested in.
Can someone put a screenshot of stock remote control app (ir blaster), to see how it looks like? With options...etc.
How are the earbuds that come with the phone, sound quality (bass), and loudness?

Pretty much is a standard menu that let you choose device and brand, and then it makes some quick tests to find out which device you have.

The earbuds are pretty standard as well, but I don't use them because they have no grip to my ear and not good isolation. The best is always to buy a decent pair of earbuds and enjoy music.
Oh. I see, as in Honor 7.
Will see with headphones, but I have AKG K321, that kick the hell out. Only disatvantage is, they have no control/mic.
Thanks.
