Anyone have this? Stock b27 stock theme, all 3. Slides the top row of icons has no graphic. The text is there and is clickable , but the icon area goes nowhere. Happened once earlier this morning and went back to normal. Now gone again, and a reboot fixed it. You can also see. The page dots moved. Up..
The whole launcher gets fubar. If I long press any page, it's out of whack too....
Anyone have any inclination if this would be due to an app or a problem with the launcher? Keeps coming and going....
Did you do any sort of density or DPI change? ("adb shell wm density ###")
Nope, every time so far it just went into my pocket normal, and came out messed up. Seems I need to reboot now every time to fix it.
Does it happen with a different launcher?

Haven't tried another launcher. Should I? It's fairly intermittent.

You should try a different launcher to see if the launcher is the problem. I'd recommend Nova.

I got this exact issue a few days ago. Was gonna do a factory reset but I tried clearing cache a few times and rebooted it, now everything is normal.

Yeah, I don't mind using a different launcher, but it doesn't seem like it should be broke out of the box. How long has it been fixed after cache clear? And was that the. Mifavor cache? Or did you clear all cache data from the phone storage tab? Mine is still having this issue after just doing the mifavor cache...

It's been almost a week now and I haven't had this issue since. I cleared the phone cache located in storage. Maybe a soft reboot will help?

hey guys, I'm having a problem with nexus 7 launcher. It gets really slow and sometimes it doesn't even response. I still have plenty of memory and only used 60-70% of RAM most of the time. Funny thing is it only happens on portrait mode and it runs fine on landscape.
I sorta found a solution for that. After clearing cache and data for launcher, it runs fine again. The problem is I need to redo my homescreens and widgets all over again.
Now I try installing other launchers like nova or atom. It happens once in atom launcher when I add widgets on home screen. Clearing cache solves the problem too.
Is there any permanent solution for that? I don't wanna clear cache every time this happens. It's too tedious.
Thanks!
Eric
After I updated to KitKat on Rogers network I realised I gained a translucent status bar but lost the translucent navbar... Is that the case for everyone ?

Have you restarted? Could just be your launcher too. Reset cache on the launcher, try data if that doesn't work. Last resort try another launcher (Nova works well for me) to see if it's a bigger issue. If you see transparency in the status bar, you should absolutely see transparency everywhere else it is enabled.
ya still seeing the problem, dont know how i feel about using a launcher app. and i tried rebooting and wiping caches.

Hey guys I just redid my nexus 7, just stock OS android as before.
I tried reinstalling the google now launcher as I actually do like it but for some reason its not working. I cant swipe all the way left to get my tiles anymore. I could pre format.
Prior it said I needed a new version of google search and installed it but it still doesnt work.
Tried re installing NOW launcher
Tried force stopping and clearing caches.
Multiple reboots
different launcher then going back
etc etc
Anyone else ever see this?
thanks

Hi, tevil...
Try this....
In Google Now Launcher, LONG PRESS anywhere on one of the home screens.
All of the home screens will slightly recede into the background, and three options will appear at the bottom of the screen.... WALLPAPERS - WIDGETS - SETTINGS.
Tap on SETTINGS... you should see a 'Google Now' OFF/ON slider control at the top.
Slide it to the ON position.
Hope this helps.

Ged.

Anyone know of a fix? My clock will randomly be tiny in the center of my screen, but when I press and hold it to re-size it's already as big as it will go? So I go small, then back to big to make it full size again
I have removed the Widget
Stock Everything
Driving me CRAZY!

I have and just wiped Device cache as well.
I guess now I wait...
Nope! Still doing it! Someone has to have a fix for this!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Does no one know how to fix this? Is it just something I have to deal with & there is no fix? A Bug? Will be fixed in a future release?

You are the only person I've ever read of having this issue. I agree it's weird and I'm sure rather frustrating. Anything short of just wiping the device and flashing the factory image may be in vein. As long as you flash the image and don't restore any data I would be shocked if it came back.
Ugh... Wiped, FDR without restore and still having the same issue...
Okay, so I just got a replacement 6P for a pink screen issue & the damn clock widget still does the same thing? That's 2 separate phones with the same issue? I can't be the only one...
Some other app is causing it.

Take screen shots of what its supposed to look like and of what it ends up looking like. The only thing that would cause that on mine is if I put some other widget near it and it was fighting for the same footprint.

I have a very minimal Home Screen. There is nothing in the way to abstruct the Clock Widget
I have the same problem. It's been happening ever since the last update to the clock app. I think it has something to do with them making the widget resizeable for the Google now launcher. Im using Nova. It's definitely not your phone. It's a bug in the clock app.

Have you tried dragging the lines as far as possible so the whole screen is the widget padding? Just an idea. I use Google now launcher/apex launcher and have not had any issues. I'll try with Nova and see if it happens.
I have this issue. I only use nova and it happens to me most time. Im not using the widget anymore. Just using zooper widget.
I think making the widget bigger than it needs to be has fixed it! Yay! Thx Gizmoe
Anyone else exhibiting this behaviour ?... reboot does not resolve the issue for me..
https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/co...home_screen_almost/?utm_source=reddit-android
Edit:The best way to recreate this behavior is using recents to go into any app then turn off the screen using power button,...then using power button (faceunlock) or tap and fingerprint to turn screen on again, ......phone reverts to homescreen instead of the app.
I believe that it's by nature.
I have the same thing happening with the OP6 on Open Beta 6.

If its happening with the OP6 too then I would say they both have the bug, It can't be normal functioning for the unlock to revert to homescreen only when you happened to have used recents to enter an app.
To be clear when you open an app normally, then lock and unlock you stay in the app, however if you use recents to go into an app that you recently used or even the one you are now, then lock and unlock, you are taken to the homescreen.
No, mine happens when I lock the device with power button or have the screen time out, I unlock it and it goes back to the home screen.
This started with open beta 6, which is loosely based on 6T (9.0.4).
Hey guys, was experiencing the same issue on my OnePlus 6T as well. As it turns out, the issue is with the custom launcher.
If you use a custom launcher such as Nova or Action, the issue persists.
https://themrphone.com/article/oneplus-6t-fingerprint-scanner-flaw
However, with the stock OnePlus Launcher, there is no such issue.

Do we still need to use oneplus launcher for it to work? I am using nova launcher.
Update. Nevermind the update fixed my issue too and I am using Nova.
I’m having the same issue on 9.0.5 no matter using stock launcher or Nova.
When unlocked goes straight to home screen for example using double tap.
Only when using fingerprint sensor and use double tap does not go to straight to home screen but to lock screen(both stock launcher or Nova)
With my 5T when used double tap to wake never went straight to home screen when not had fingerprint active.
OnePlus launcher 3.1.2 9th of November released.
Nova version 6 beta 5.

Make sure you have the updated OnePlus Launcher from PlayStore (Version 3.1.2.181109163305) (sorry didn't read the last part of your post)
If issue still persists I would recommend clear cache from recovery and Clear Storage and Cache from OnePlus Launcher app.. (this did it for another person that was saying updated launcher didn't fix issue straight away)

Clearing cache from recovery would be faster, and maybe it'll work ...who knows...give it a try before the whole reset thing

ok clear cache from recovery didn't help but hard reset did help.:good:
Now both Nova and stock launcher when pressing double tap to wake go to lock screen not straight to home screen
What a mess and bizzard issue was
Never mind problem solved and that's matter at the end
Nope using Nova and not happening here, locking any way and unlocking and the last app left open is still open.
