So, I got my Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus (SM-G901F), and flashed the MoKee Rom today.
Like in the title, when I'm clearing the app data (not the cache!! There's nothing wrong with clearing cache), or deleting an app, it doesn't matter which app, my phone automaticly reboots and the app data gets not cleared/the app doesn't get deleted.
Also facing the problem with opening the Security tab under Settings.
Does someone have a fix for these 2 problems?
Thanks
[Android Version: 6.0]

[Q] Phone app crashes upon launch with "Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped." (CyMod)
Device info: Samsung Galaxy S4
Carrier: Sprint
Firmware: 4.2.2
Cyanogenmod Build: 10.1-20130709 (Tuesday July 9)
Whenever I launch the Phone application, I receive the error:
Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped.

I've reinstalled CyanogenMod and the GApps ROM to no avail. Cleared the regular cache and Dalvik cache and the Contacts app and Contacts Storage caches. Nothing.
I'd like to be able to uninstall the GApps rom and try installing it regularly but I'm not sure how.
I can still receive calls and make calls from the "People" app, but the Phone app doesn't load. It doesn't even show a dialer. It just hangs for a second and loads the error.
I'll reset to factory if I have to, but how would I preserve a backup of my stuff without preserving whatever data is causing this error? Would I use Titanium or the ClockworkMod backup utility, and what would I do?
Thanks to anyone who can help.
Titanium backup will work. Don't try to restore any system data unless it is highlighted in the green font. If you try to restore system data from one rom to another you will see problems like you do now.

I had this issue with my Moto Photon. I found out after I rooted it and deleted the Yahoo contacts apk I received the error message. I don't have the S4 yet but maybe that is why your getting the FC? If you didn't delete any apk's then disregard.

So far I've yet to get this new version to work with the fancy new backup and organization features that just came out. When I first installed it would just crash immediately when trying to boot. What I've now tried is Force Stopping and clearing cache and data. This gets me into the "intro" screen, but as soon as I hit 'get started' It just crashes. Any ideas what's going on? I just updated to 5.1.1, had issue on 5.1.0 a well. I am rooted.
:highfive:
Tried force stop and clearing data and cache for both the camera and photo's app. Then tried rebooting and opening camera (worked fine) then photo's (crashed as usual). Tried doing it again but opening photo's first, still crashed on the screen where it looks like you turn backup on or off. I think there is a backup issue. I had auto backup off for photo's previously by the way.
the same here

I am experiencing the same issue since yesterday after flashing Google Play Edition 5.0.1 【JFLTE-GPE】ROM on Galaxy S4. Looking for the solution...
Hello XDA Community, I have a problem. I was using Slim stock rom of @vaserbanix and I decided to install Xposed Franework and Wanam Xposed for Android 5.x.x I choosen some settings of that app and rebooted. Since that moment, some apps like Facebook, Amazon Shopping, Gmail and Google Keep don't work. When I open them, there's a message that the apps stopped, so there's a force closing of these apps. I tried to flash CM 12.1 and the problem in few apps was fixed, but spotify got a force close. I decided to flash the latest firmware via odin to restore the telephone, but the problem keeps appearing. I also tried to clean cache, dalvik cache and I cleaned cache of single application. I don't know what to do, the problem keeps appearing. Can you help me? Please guys

Maybe your RAM memory is damaged/dead. Send the phone into service.

Well I don't have warranty anymore since I rooted it, and I don't want to pay that money. That's alot!
Okay, it seems that with CM 12.1 by Nick Verse I solved the problem. Anyway, I'm scared because on stock I think the problem will come again. I'll wait the new firmware 6.0.1 for J500FN when it will be out. For now I'll stay with CM

So tonight I tried the new Cm13 that got updated, doing a full wipe. All went good after a bit of testing, finding that the camera bug I already knew about was there, but after installing a few of my apps that I had before at the same time I tried installing some unofficial ones from .apks, Google Services Framework started crashing and my launcher, Trebuchet also did, so as the settings when I tried getting into the apps screen to try wiping data and cache for the settings app. So I got stuck there. Luckily I had a backup and succesfully restored to my last ROM with most of my data back. I did try anything I could think of to stop the crashing, except flashing another Gapps package. I did try reflashing the same with no success to fix the crashes. On the thread it recommended the Nano package because that provided you with the option to hold home button to Screen Search...
Thank you for any answers. BTW I also tried wiping those apps data trough Titanium Backup with no succes, again. :crying:
How do I stop Google Framework Services and settings (when entering app management screen) from crashing?

I decided to create this discussion after almost losing hope to get my YouTube working again.
The problem isn't related to the YouTube app itself only but also any embedded video from YouTube across all and any web page/app not working also.
This strict problem came suddenly out of nowhere and I tried the next steps to make it work again but no avail :crying:
- Reinstalled the app, cleared cache and data.
- Removed my Gmail account and added it again and even added another Gmail account.
- Checked the time and date settings and automatic time updates and time zone are set correctly.
- Uninstalled my adblocker app (adaway) and restored the stock hosts file in system/etc
- Checked my Wi-Fi settings and made sure there's no proxy settings (none). Problem exists also on mobile data.
- Disabled the option of ad block hosts in Magisk.
- Uninstalled any YouTube substratum theme.
- Gave the app all permissions.
* I reboot system after every step.
* I left nothing to do in order to crack this issue but factory reset phone.

Are you running Substratum? If so, remove any themes you've applied to YouTube.
