It's incredible, J500FN variants users waited a lot of months for a MM update that is very slow. The ram managament is awful (always 50+%) and it isn't smooth. The animations and the features are amazing, but it doesn't seem an official update. I can keep open like one app at time! If i open 2 apps together it crashes. Is this my impression or do you agree with me?

I already got back to Lollipop, but I really like Marshmallow. Let's hope Samsung will release an optimized update with a better ram management! Can anyone tell us here when a new firmware update will be out?

I'm also finding mm slow and CM13 ain't finished yet (no in call audio )
Yeah, but I love stock battery life. I never liked CM battery life in general. But i'm sure Nick will do a great work as always!
If I go back to CM12.1 will I have to reflash 5.1 via Odin ?

If you're on MM I suggest you to go back to 5.1.1 lollipop stock firmware and then flash cm 12.1
Thanks. Yes i have now done that and am running Resurrection remix 12.1. Is the rom that I was running before and is excellent. Every thing works really well I'm gong to wait for CM13 to catch up before upgrading.

I really got caught up in having to have to most upto date rom but there really is no need. Stick to 5.1 lollypop until the developers catch up

I didn't have the time to flash the rom because I'm waiting for a Kernel for 6.0 by Dj_steve, with it I hope performance for android MM will improve! Also i play a lot Pokemon Go and if I go with RR that is pre-rooted I can't play it (Pokemon go doesnt allow you to play if you have root). But I'll try it soon!
Cool, it's worth saving and try it some time. It's a good ROM and I ain't seen it anywhere else. What is i need to do to be able to post on other forums ?

There's a minimum post you have to do in light sections like Question and answer, accessories, themes and apps before being able to post in development section. I guess you have to reply in different posts, not always the same. Follow the community and enjoy

Any idea if lineage is working on anything for the bolt?
I'm about to attempt to build lineage for the Bolt sometime this week.
I wanted to port over ubuntu touch but since there isn't even a lineage port to begin with, I might as well start one. It doesn't look too hard, it's just sitting the time aside and having patience. Plus school can be a time consumer itself.
Just wanted to post an Update on porting the Bolt:
Uh, where do we begin? Lol. I can't find any source code for the device. Not sure if I need it, I'm thinking I might be able to use the existing kernel since it shipped with 7.x. I mean, I finally got a Environment set up to port it over but I'm not even sure where to go from here. Nobody seems to want to help, either. So, I'll keep poking around until I find something. Will be emailing HTC about the kernel source a little later today.
Cool i can test things

So all went well but it was a big let down because I sort of expected the same sundream experience or better that I had on my m8.
It was pretty close to sense stock, it was snappy but not notably snappier than stock, I'll miss the not bar icons but that's about it.....
the audio also suffered a hit on the head phones and that's what dd it 4 me 3 hours into the rom...
Xept for the usual rom mods I really needed soft nav buttons and status bar internet speeds ...thanks though it ported and worked seamlessy
.please link me to any other roms I can try lineage, aokp, dirty unicorns, I'm up to my head in research I've looked

If you are looking for a Note 7 rom, I suggest AryaMod V2.0. In my experience it runs very well. It also rarely resets. (Only when playing intensive games overclocked.) If you're looking for a stable Lollipop rom, then I recommend CyanogenMod 12.1 running with leankernel. For Nougat, I recommend trader418's CM14.1 rom. For Marshmallow, I recommend resurrection remix version 5.7.1. I hope this helps.

I forgot to put in the links to the roms that I mentioned. They will be below:

https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=hltetmo (You might want to get this one quickly, as the infrastructure shut down. I don't know how long the site will be up for.)
The most stable ROM will be the stock ROM and many people, like myself, are happy with a debloated and rooted stock ROM.

I'm using Phronesis Rom N7 v4.1 which runs great but disables NFC. I really don't need NFC so I think it's not an issue and I love the ROM.

But this On5 Pro stock rom is reliable and good by work.. I am using this Rom for many days but it has no problem and working fine like original Samsung Stock Rom. I appreciate your work.. thank you.

Well, I'll ask it anyway .
I've only ever used Cyanogenmod and Lineage, but now there is no stable and good release for J5 (2016). Obviously, stock has so much bloat and is super slow, all I want is fast, functioning and pretty phone. Which is the ROM of choice for you and why?

Am pretty much 50/50 between TW and aosp.TW can easily be debloated mainly stock and just add quasar 1.6 fix and runs fast same as kernel that's in space os and I recommend that one too.Am currently on Havoc which is great looking and saves you a good 1.5gb TWRP backup so yes the aosp are already debloated. All the oreo roms are fast in my opinion.Havoc is my favourite followed by RR 6.0.1 and the older lineage builds are great too.

Not as smooth as aosp ROMs tho. TW is a really heavy skin over android and is known to be slow and stuttery even on the best of devices.
But yes you are right it is the smoothest of the TW ROMs due to the heavy debloat. Especially the SEP 8.5 LITE.
For me though I stick with aosp ROMs because they are a lot faster, a lot more customisable and also better on battery life.
But everyone has different tastes and what suits me and you might not suit someone else.
All ROMs are amazing and we need to give more thanks and donations to the devs

No battery problems for me with Havoc. It can be a bit slow to charge sometimes but not big battery drain.Yes I think bluetooth audio might be problem on some aosp roms if you use bluetooth but I use wired headset and bluetooth works fine in all aosp roms I have tried for file transfers and connecting to externel devices like gamepad which I use.

A Android oreo go edition rom for this tablet would be the best. I also recommend it and let's just sweep all Android Nougat roms under the rug and pretend they never existed.

Yeah I agree, Whenever I have tried Nougat roms there are just countless of issues. Hope to see a 8.0 ROM some day!
