I have extensively searched the forums here for a solution, and haven't been able to find one. If someone knows how to fix this, or can try to help me, I would really appreciate it. I just updated my phone to Marshmallow, and everything is running great. I have SuperSU up and running, and TWRP installed. Everytime I try to install Xposed, my phone boots up, but once the boot finishes it just hangs on a black screen forever. The only way to get the device to boot is by flashing the Xposed uninstaller. I have tried disabling all of my Xposed modules in hopes that would fix the problem, but it did not. I am trying to flash the xposed-v79-sdk23-arm64.zip by the way. Does anyone know of a solution to this? Should I try to find and flash version 78? I've seen a bunch of people having no issues installing Xposed on Marshmallow, so I assume I am doing something wrong. I tried redownloading the file a few times too.
Thank you very much in advance for trying to assist me!! Happy Holidays everyone!
after flashing xposed, do you wipe both caches?. You also can try to install xposed application (apk) first and later flash xposed from twrp.

Thanks for your response. I tried wiping both caches before and after installing Xposed. I also tried it once with only wiping cache after. Each time, I already had the Xposed apk downloaded because I had Xposed up and running on Lollipop.
I'm running "xposed-v78-sdk23-arm64.zip" without issue on my MXPE on MM.

Just tried that version. Same issue, boot animation finishes, then it's just a black screen forever. I'm going to try uninstalling the Xposed app and then installing the framework and see if that works.
Just for kicks, I uninstalled xposed v78 and installed "xposed-v79-sdk23-arm64.zip". It's working great on my phone.
I would try again. Do a hard power down during the hang at the black screen (hold power button down for 10-20 seconds?) and reboot to see if that fixes thing.
Edit: I should note, I cleared all the cache (including Davlik) before and after the install of xposed.

Just wanted to let you know I got it to work. I had to uninstall the Xposed app, uninstall the framework, and then reinstall the framework and reinstall the app. I had a few modules mess me up and cause the black screen and I had to start all over a ton of times, but after hours and hours I finally seem to have everything working for now. Thank you for trying to help, I appreciate it!!
Can you please advise how to uninstall xposed framework? I'm trying to do it via xposed Uninstaller but no luck... Thx in advance for any help

I'm not sure, I currently am not using Xposed anymore. The only way I know is to use the uninstaller and to uninstall the app from your phone. I'm sorry if I can't be of more assistance :/

Do you have any modules installed? If you install Xposed and then install the app, everything should work. Certain modules may not be compatible and they may prevent your phone from booting. You may have to turn off all modules and then turn them on one at a time and see what causes your issue.

No modules, and even no installer app installed. Still black screen mm6.0.1 xstyle 1572 rooted and unlocked bl.
Possible Solution
I had the same problem on my moto, I ended up flashing version 86 of xposed framework and also updated the app to the alpha 4 version. After I did that I had to clear cache and then use root browser to change my xposed disabled file to another. After a long reboot I have xposed running again.
Hi all.
Des anyone have snapchat working on an rooted phone ?
On mine ( S6 edge plus ) it dosen't working.
If someone have à solution i'll take it.
Thx for helping
Snapchat should work just fine on a rooted phone. I see no reason why root would block Snapchat from working? Maybe there's an other cause for your Snapchat not to work?

Ihave this problème since 3 month
I disconnect from and unable to connect. I then tried it on one of my son and since he too can reconnect. his phone is of a different brand and rooter too. I do not advise you to try if you are root
But if you try, please feedback
Thx
Its not root actually, its xposed. You cant sign in to snapchat with xposed installed on your phone it says theres a temporary problem signing in or something like that... I have custom rooted rom installed and there was an option to choose xposed in aroma installer. If I re run installer and chose no xposed, then I can sign in to snapchat. Also if you dont sign out often, you can uninstal xposed, sign on and reinstal xposed back, as long as you dont sign out it will work normally and theres no problems, but if you sign out you'll need to uninstal xposed again in order to sign in... I've been running it this way for quite some time.
ok thx
i w'ill try ....
i use audax rom , and in this rom i can't uninstall xposed , only desactived it . but after restart phone it's the same thing , can't connect.

Yes I know, disabling the xposed doens't work, I've also tried that before uninstalling it. Snapchat probably checks if there are any traces of xposed on the phone, so you need to remove it completely in order to sign in. It's also completely expected move as there are plenty of xposed modules that can modify snapchat so the core idea of the app dies as you can save photos without notification etc.
Would it be possible to configure rootcloak to ride xposed?

Tried that, it doesn't work as root is not the problem, xposed is. I am rooted, and it works.

I know, luckily I can just dirty flash the same ROM and choose not to instal xposed in aroma. I'm running KOS ROM V2 Debloated. As it goes for you I believe you'll have to flash a different ROM or just live without snapchat, unless there's a better option now, but I tried snapperfs and some other xposed modules that were supposed to hide root from snapchat, but I guess they updated what snapchat detects from root access, to xposed.
if i understand , if i want to use snapchat , i can't use xposed .
but i use différents module like torch exposed , wanam etc ....and i would like to continue to use them
another thing , we can find différents module for snapchat on xposed , if we find them we can use snap no ? i'm
but thx for your help ....

no, you can use xposed, but you need to install it AFTER you sign in to snapchat as it only prevents you to sign in if xposed is installed. What that means is that you must not sign out of snapchat once you install xposed as it won't work again. So if you do sign out somehow, you'd need to uninstall xposed (as I said I could do that with my ROM easily), sign in and again install xposed. This method works 100% as I am using snapchat AND xposed like that.
What I was saying about the modules that alowed to use it, is that snapchat, in the past supposedly only checked if the phone was rooted, as there are tutorials on the internet on how to hide root for signing in to snapchat, which now don't work anymore, as they obviously changed it to just check if xposed is installed because root itself wasn't really dangerous for them and a lot of people have their phones rooted and were complaining.
Right now, as far as I know, there's no other way than uninstalling xposed.

So, with Snapchat not working with anyone with a rooted device is there a workaround? Or do we have to wait until there is a work around? i've tried Xposed and some frameworks but that doesn't work either.
I only updated my phone today and haven't had an issue with Snapchat and root so I have no idea how long it's been going on for. Been looking across the internet and can't really come across anything solid so far, so apologies for another thread on the subject.
Sorry if this is the wrong area too.
Only solution I've found is us use the SuperSU app to uproot, then log in to SnapChat, then reroot.
If I unroot will that reset my phone or anything?
Once you do manage to log in, make a TB backup so you can restore the log-in in the future without having to unroot.
i can't log into Snapchat at all

snapchat and root are no problem the problem is that snapchat check if xposed is installed or not that's why it won't log in...snapchat don't work if xposed is installed...
uninstall xposed through twrp and log to snapchat after that re-install xposed twrp

I don't have Xpsoed installed at all, that's what i'm confused about .
You can login snapchat, but you have to install systemless supersu + systemless xposed +suhide + magisk7
I can get pass safetynet check (checked today)
What I ended up doing, which works, is I wiped my phone on TWRP, reinstalled my firmware (superman) chose not to install root/Xposed, downloaded/signed into Snapchat, then rooted my phone. Long winded but it works.
Backup your snapchat data from a unrooted phone. I used titanium and restore on rooted
Just use Casper instead of original snapchat app.
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
You are unable to sign into Snapchat if you have the Xposed Framework enabled or Rooted.
(Rooted has never been a issue with me)
But Xposed framework is normally the cause, Even if you used Xposed or not, If the framework is present you cannot Login.
Simple Open up Xposed App (If you installed Via Superman you have have enabled to option and installed it)
From there you have a option to uninstall.
Reboot and once booted back up, login. Once logged in use Titanium Backup to backup the App plus Data.
Reinstall Xposed Framework and you should still be logged into Snapchat.
If you ever have any issues, Delete the app and restore from your backup, you have no need to uninstall Xposed as the Data is restored from the app keeping you logged into the app

I have heard that just using suhide is enough to pass Snapchats new Root detection.
I have not tested as am still running the old version with Snaprefs

Hello,
I've got a question about snapchat.
I'm sorry if im posting this in the wrong place, im new here!
I want to use snapchat 9.3.1.0 so i can use snapprefs.
I'm rooted and have xposed framework installed.
I am currently logged in in the newest snapchat version.
I made a backup of my snapchat with TB, deleted the new version of snapchat, installed snapchat 9.3.1.0, opened titanium backup and restored 'DATA ONLY'.
When i open snapchat, the app says: There are no snaps, and it says i've got no friends (which makes me sad). Any idea how i can fix this?
Thank you!
Lorenzo
It seems they recently changed things in an update. I have a rooted device with exposed, running superman rom. I used to just turn the switch off inside xposed, restart, login to snapchat, turn xposed back on and it was fine as long as I didn't log out. Now, none of that works.
My solution was to go to recovery, dirty flash my rom without root or xposed, login to snapchat, and go back and dirty flash again with root and xposed.
Way too much effort for snapchat, but it worked!

Hi everyone,
I cannot seem to access the app. My device is rooted, got magisk, xposed and the rootcloak running. What is going wrong? Is it something due to the latest version of the app?

The same thing happened to me and I still dont know what to do but all I done was remove the app and never install it again. ?? Sorry I didn't help you but that's what I done
Maybe there is a workaround. If only anyone more experienced than us could help..
Pokémon Go use Safety net to detect modified devices. Root cloak does not work to hide root. You probably can't open the app with root/Xposed in any way. If you search in the SuHide thread you may find a work around but it's filled with reply and it will be hard to.
Use xposed systemless, every time that I want play pokemon, only switch off xposed, reboot, and it works... that's the only way to play pokemon

safety net has nothing to do with the ROM, but with Magisk and root. Maybe your Magisk installation isn't correctly configured ( Do not install Xposed Modules )
Re-flash the ROM and Reinstall latest Magisk (16.4).

Ok, I'll try disabling the modules I have to see if that fixes the issue. I mostly have it to use GravityBox and Youtube Background Playback. The first one because I use the volume keys to skip songs (I'm using the stock rom) and the other one because Youtube vanced doesn't seem to install properly. Do you know of alternatives to any of those?

Did you disable YouTube before + remove the playstore updates of YouTube too then install Vanced.
I don't use xposed at all as my ROM has everything i need, i just use a couple of Magisk modules ( font, vanced, iOS11 emojies and MiAi camera lag fix ). If nothing is broken, don't try and fix it

Where did that come from? I'm not trying to "fix" anything. All I want is to add is song skipping with the volume keys (something that should've been added to stock android by now). I tried what you said with vanced but it's still not working.
Alternative to Vanced youtube is "OGYoutube" (https://plusmods.com/ogyoutube) - installed as a standard app, so you can keep official updated Youtube (best of both worlds). I don't know about functional alternative to Gravitybox though, so you can't get rid of Xposed (the only module which breaks Safetynet by design).
Edit: if you use Gravitybox only for media control with volume keys, you might have luck with this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=frinky.volumeKeys.music.controller&hl=en. I didn't like it too much, but it's worth trying if Safetynet is your priority.
Edit2: Automation via Tasker is an option as well, but it was pain in the a** to use it on my previous phone.. https://www.xda-developers.com/tasker-pro-skip-music-tracks-using-volume-keys/
Edit3: Just realized that Button mapper pro (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.homebutton&hl=en) offers this option as well and seems to be working fine. I guess that I can disable Xposed now, thank you for creating this topic
