Screen burned? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

So, I use a lot the Waze app and today's morning I noticed a "donut" shaped "ghost" on my screen, I tried to think what could be the reason for that and when I opened waze I noticed there's a orange round button on the lower right side of the screen, exactly the same spot the ghost is......
So, my screen is screwed now? There's a way to get rid of it?
Right now is just visible on white backgrounds on medium brightness, I'll try to post a photo later

Visible dots grid in the screen when turned on (touch sensors)

Hi,
I wonder if anyone else has noticed this in the blackstone; I can see a grid of dots all over the screen when it's turned on. Ok, you have to look closely, but it's a bit annoying. I can see the dots better when I have a white or green background. For example, going to Start -> Programs I see the dots in the space between the icons.
I know the dots are from the 'resistive' layer, the dots are the sensors of the touchscreen... but they become visible and appear as small green dots perfectly aligned. I don't see them all the time, only when I have a white background or looking with a certain angle.
Should I be concerned? Could it be a problem with my screen?
Thanks!
Sounds a bit strange to me, the only time I can see the dots/grid is in bright sunlight. Then they look like small pin points in plastic.
i've never noticed that on mine...
That is normal, those are touch sensors for the screen. They allow the screen to recognise a touch.

Agree, but I had other PDAs before and never seen the dots when the screen is turned on. I don't care about the dots being visible when I'm under a bright light; my point is that I can see the dots when the screen is turned on, no matter under what kind of light. When I have a white backround, it looks like there's dust on the screen. If I look closely, I can see the dots in green colour, as a result of the reflectied light from the screen. I know they are the touch sensors, but it seems no one else can see them--
Any idea?
Thanks!
it is indeed normal especially under bright sunlight. However if you insist that you can see them when you switvh your device on, no matter the external light conditions, there might be something wrong with the screen. Have you seen other HD phones recently? Do you see the same dots there when they're switched on?

I haven't had the chance to see another HD; I've looked at a Diamond and Cruise, the dots are NOT there. I've tried to take a picture, but seems impossible to see the points in a picture (at least for the N95's camera).
I found an old tread talking about old PDAs that had the same issue, maybe they explain the issue better: http://forum.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=207321
I'm not sure if I should send the HD to the service. Anyone knows how the 'worlwide warranty' works? I sent an email using htc.com site, but they don't respond.
Thanks!
Any advice on this matter...?
I don't know about colored dots, but every pocket pc I've ever owned had the dot grid visible in sunlight, it is normal, they should be clear dots though.

samsung vibrant pixel marks

There seems to be an issue with the super amoled screen. Its not a biggy as of yet. It seems if you have something on the screen for long periods of time it will wear the pixels out. My example....if you go on a white screen in landscape, the look where the status bar usually is (where it says samssamsun) you can see a fainted image of the status bar and a collage of times, battery and signal (i assume from always changing). U cant really see it and sometimes i wish i couldnt. Small flaws like this upset me. My phone isnt rooted (no screen shots) if you have a vibrant or galaxy s. Could you text and see if this is a product wide issue. Thank you for reading please leave comments.
Don't see that on my phone?
uhh, a screen shot wouldnt show burned out or worn out pixels dude.
So I ran the flashlight application, held up the screen, tried looking at different angles, and couldn't find one anomaly.
You should trade it in for a new one.
did the same thing with the flashlight app, nothing shows up. this dude is on crack.

Maybe he just has a lemon?
I can attest to this. I see it after just booting up and going from the lock screen to the desktop. I can see the faint outline of the white numbers from the time on the lockscreen on my GenieWidget on my desktop at the top of my homescreen(widget has grey background). It seems to dissappear though.
I have some when using color flashlight I see marks where the time is. It is very light but I see it. Tmobile is replacing it now. Lol

Faint Black patches on right edge of screen (brand new tab)

About 4 to 5 of them appear only on right edge (portrait mode) after an hour or so of usage. Can make it go away by toggling screen brightness using Power Control.
Feels like some backlighting circuitry got turned off. Its faint; you won't see it unless you have white background.
Is this a defective screen or just something wrong with my settings?

[Q] Background ghosting

I have had my nexus 7 for around 3 months now and have noticed that there appears to be a frozen image of the white elements of my home scree that are slightly but permanently visible. It is quite faint but I have noticed that things like the digital clock, and the white notifications are always visible. Sometimes even with the chrome Web browser get stuck being visible on the home scree. Is this a problem that others have and is there a way to fix this?
Thanks
does it appear while taking a screenshot? if not, its the pixels burnt into the display if you left the screen on the same picture for too long.

My S8's screen got burned, has yours?

I left my AOD on overnight by accident and i regret it so much, I actually burned in the home button that is shown on the AOD. It's supposed to move around but I guess it doesn't work ver gym well. I can't use any apps that get rid of screen burn for nav bars because nothing else but the home button is shown, and you can't have invert colors on in conjunction with AOD. Is there any way to fix this?
Return it to Samsung is probably your best option. Not sure burn-in can be repaired without replacingg the screen itself.
