Hi everyone,
I've purchased a G935S while in Korea, and now that I'm home, it's time to start playing! Unfortunately, I'm stuck at square one - I'm not able to select OEM Unlock from the developer menu, as it's greyed out.
Any ideas?
Fingers crossed and I hope to hear some good news soon!

No luck. 1.0.4 would install but wouldn't run. Any other thoughts?

Check SKT carrier specific features in Settings, I've heard one of them blocks OEM unlock. Maybe something related to device loss I guess..
Still no luck.. I tried to follow the tutorial - crom won't run (and the tutorial is actually for the Hong Kong model - not the Korean).
So frustrating!
Has anyone rooted a 935S?
have you solved this problem ?

Whats about a custom Rom? Flash it via Odin and you will have no need for unlock OEM!
Try out King Nougat-Rom, its very good for me working (without unlock OEM!)
Any Solution Please...
I have got a S7 edge(sm-g935s) as you guys and also my phone doesn't let me to turn on oem unlock feature.I have tried so many things now i'm so tired.
*I flashed combination file for this modle.
*I downgraded it to marshmallows.
Nothing works. Is there anyone have a solution please let me know.Thank you very much.:crying:

I have a 935S was also on SKT, but was factory unlocked. Sounds like it may be carrier locked, but you could always try to flash TWRP and see what happens. But don't necessarily listen to me, I don't remember if trying to flash TWRP on a locked device just fails or wrecks ****, it's been a while since I used a locked device

I have also 935s device but OTA update without turn on OEM unlock feature is the cause to this problem.I bought my phone from another one but he had already updated his phone to oreo without turn on OEM unlock in developer option. After updating OEM Unlock toggle grayed out. This cannot be fixed with simply flash twrp.It only displays "custom recovery is blocked by frp".It's automatically turn on frp lock when you restart your phone after flashing twrp or rom because of still our phone's bootloder is locked.
I don't know how to fix this.I am so frustrating with this matter. If anyone found a way to turn on oem unlock in developer option it is possible to unlock bootloder.

FRP and a locked bootloader are two different things. To get rid of FRP just remove your Google account from the phone.

I know how to get rid of FRP:laugh: but i said that it is turn on when restart after flashing custom recovery because of locked bootloder. There is no way to get rid of it.
Only way to solve this problem is to turn on oem unlock in developer option.

Have your tried oem unlock in fastboot mode? If that's no go then your only other recourse would be to contact either SKT or Samsung to get the bootloader unlock code

Yes, I have tried fastboot adb command to unlock bootloder but it fails because it cannot be done without turn on OEM Unlock in developer option.
I don't think samsung or skt could help with this case.I think they locked our bootloder with OTA Update. They won't help us except only we found a way to unlock our bootloders.

With a locked bootloader either Samsung or SKT would be able to give you the bootloader unlock code. That's how it works when you get a phone with a locked bootloader. Unless they do like Hauwai and ban it completely, which they have not.

So I was setting up my device yesterday and enabled fingerprint unlocking and choose a pattern unlock and written password as backup options.
When I restarted my phone, in order to unlock the phone it stated to use pattern unlock to protect fingerprint scanning after reboots (something of that nature).
Problem is for some reason I cannot figure out the pattern to unlock (I'm sure im using the one i set in place) and I cannot use my written password to unlock either, it's just by pattern.
So am I locked out of my phone and don't know what to do. I'm trying to do a factory reset to see if that'll work.
But I also flashed twrp and noticed that this model cannot be rooted so i left the custom recovery as it is. I do not want to swipe right to "allow modifications" as I heard if I do not install the right files it might be stuck in a continuous loop. So I clicked on Keep Read Only. When I try to wipe it keeps on telling me it's failed is it due to being in read only (I also don't see any of the contents on my internal storage)?
Should I flash the stock recovery with odin but I cannot find it for this model. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Pls Help, im stuck on boot screen "Security Error:. This phone has been flashed..."
Hi, My Galaxy S7 Edge is stuck on the boot screen with caution "Security Error:. This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked, Call your mobile operator for additional support. Please note that repair/return for this issue may have additional cost." my phone restart and restart at this caution
Yes im rooted my phone, but maybe by me turn off OEM Unlock. So when i restart then i get this lock.
I cant access TWRP recovery (i have a backup this rom on my sdcard, before im root). So
How to i can access TWRP recovery, or turn on OEM Unlock.
At least how do I solve this case.
Thanks for read.
Yes, it's because you turn off oem unlock.
Remember not to turn it off when your phone running anything not official (custom recovery, root, custom kernel, custom rom etc.)
The only way to solve this is to go to download mode and flash full stock official rom and start from scratch.

Cool, got a spare S6 today and came to XDA just to find this freshly posted. Works, just as I remember I did a couple years ago.
I don't have Home button and when I flash the TWRP and booting into recovery I have a "NO COMMAND" error.
any other way to open recovery after boot without home button?
Hey does anyone know how to check for an unlocked bootloader? I own the g920f variant and the oem-unlock option is not present in the developer options. The dial method for checking bootloader status does not work and fastboot is not supported by samsung devices.
What else can I do?

I have the same problem with my sm-g920w8. Does anyone know how to unlock the bootloader?
I have something weird happening.
I have a 920F in UK and when I am using ODIN, it accepts the TWRP flash, but after that I am not able to actually start it in TWRP mode. When I press up+home+power, it just goes into the regular Android bootloader screen. Not the TWRP.
Can anyone help?

I have a G920A and it doesn't have the OEM unlock option and I've been looking and trying stuff for days and have gotten nowhere fast. I'm assuming the AT&t model is a piece of trash and can't be rooted...either way it's still a heap of garbage.

Hi guys! I got Custom Binary Blocked by FRP Lock while doing idk what, probably i've unticked smth in developers options. I wasn't prepared for this so I haven't made any backup via TWRP. After reading there and there found that flashing in Odin AP, BL, CP and Home_CSC woun't delete my data, right? But I have a custom rom installed on my phone, so, after flashing those files, will my S7 return to stock form even if I flash Home_CSC? Is there any way to not lose data (factory reset) + keeping the custom rom, and get rid of FRP Lock?

If you don't even know that turning off oem unlock will result in custom binary block error, how did you even flashed a custom rom at first place ?
Like seriously man, this is a very basic and first step to enable oem unlock before doing anything to your phone and you disabled it ? And you say you unticked 'something' ? If you don't even know what those options meant why you messed them in first place ..
And no, don't even try flashing with HOME csc on a custom rom ! , I don't think they is any back up option for you to save your data now ..
That is why we say to people here on xda : "ALWAYS KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING"

You never supposed to untick 'enable oem unlock' , if you do you invite the trouble.
What you wanted or was doing exactly that prompted you to do this ? What's 'securing' twrp exactly ?
OEM unlock is always in developer options in the settings..
And pls keep upto date with the details and flashing stuff if you don't want to get yourself in trouble.. search is your best friend mate.. Good luck

Recovery - maybe. Download mode - highly unlikely.
Lol I never even heard about such things being available ..
I think twrp has a password protect feature maybe.. but dunno if any such thing is for download mode ..

Im not looking to root though and i dont even want to use any custom rom or any of that. When i flash metropcs successfully, i just want it to stick when the phone boots, instead of Sprint firmware magically re appearing. If its a successful flash with official firmware, then why wont the Sprint firmware go away / be overwritten, especially when it is a successful flash. Maybe i am wrong, but from what i remember, even when bootloader is locked, you are still allowed to flash official firmware, or am i wrong?
