[HELP] SM-G900V 6.0.1 help recover deleted messages with photos - Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Please need any and all help recovering deleted message that contains a ton of family photos, if i can not recover, they are lost for good. I tried a version of Dr. Fone, but it keeps failing after i select messages as type of file to recover.. I didn't buy the software, was using a friends older version, so trying not to spend money, since I am BROKE!!!! Please help, I am tech savvy, just never did this before and I noticed this phone is not rootable yet, unless you downgrade and do all types of things, which i don't plan on doing, since it will probably make those messages even harder to recover... Thanks in advance!!!!! You are my hero if you can help me here!!!!!

Please save me!!!! (sprint sg4 sph-l702tvpubng5)

Omg so I let this guy root my phones cuz I was a tad bit scared to myself lol. After he did I started messing around an loving it! But I ACCIDENTALLY (I think) messed with system U I an bricked my phone. It wouldn't leave the Yellow Sprint Logo an was terrified! I learned about Factory Reset an how it erases everything, but come to find out my Google+ is constantly show up sayin, "unfortunately Google+ is responsive," or whatever. Then I CAN SYNC INTO ANYTHING! So can't get old photos, contacts, ect. Any time I TRY AN SYNC it says ( See pic below) that. So I've been looking on how to fix it an come to these 3 reasons why my phone is having these problems:
1) Tweaked around an messed with the System U I
2) I'm still on the original 4.4.2 version of I believe kit kat
Or 3) can't remember atm..lol smh
I also can't update my supposedly outdated Google Play Store and have this Icon (See pic Below). An cuz when I use certain apps I get a pop up that says "Needs Root Access," or whatever, EVEN AFTER I FACTORY RESET! So I downloaded a few Root Checkers and they ALL said I'm NO ROOTED! So it's like I'm Rooted but Very Limited....After 4+ Flipping Months of research I've come to POSSIBLE REASONS WHY IT'S MESSING UP AN SHEET:
1) Still on the Original 4.4.2 kit kat and needs Update (Since Idk I didn't get Updates after Rooting)
Or 2) I need to Restore my Firm and Softwares like I just got it from the store.
I'm I right?!?! PLEASE OH PLEASE HELP ME!!! I LOVE ANDROID BUT CUZ OF THIS IT'S MAKIN ME HATE IT!!!

[Q] Data recovery on Verizon SM-G900V Android 4.4.4

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5, SM-G900V, running Android 4.4.4. I accidentally ran a factory restore, wiping out my files. I want to try to get the data off of it, since the files may not yet be overwritten, but I have no idea of how to go about this, especially using a method that does as few writes to the internal memory as possible (to increase the chance of success). I would very much rather not root, or at the very least not trip Knox or otherwise void my warranty. However, I might be willing to risk it if necessary. I have never rooted before, and it seems as though rooting utilities have a difficult time with this phone (at least in part thanks to Verizon).
I have not found any guide on how to do data recovery in this situation. I've tried at least one recovery program that was completely useless, though that might be due to lack of root. I am familiar with computers, and Linux, but Android is very foreign to me, and it seems like most data recovery attempts require me to mount the device on a computer as a disk drive. Although I've gotten it to connect for file browsing and transfers, I have not managed to get a connection where it acts like a mountable, normal disk. Naturally this rules out getting a memory image with this method, leaving me rather stranded.
Can anyone provide me with some assistance? I'm not expecting to fully restore the phone, but I've got some files (especially the memo and contacts) I'd rather not say goodbye to since my last backup.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My experience has been that once a factory reset has been done, that's it. Your phone is back to the state it was when shipped from the manufacturer. Any personal info is gone. One caveat though. Unless you've backed up to a "cloud" (VZW provides this with Contacts natively) or saved to a micro disc, you are out of luck.
Wish I had better info for you.

Accidently deleted text messages! PLEAS HELP ME!

Hello
I have by mistake deleted all my text messages in my galaxy s5 g900f.
I tried to recover it by some of the different android recovery software out there with no luck.
After i desided to downgrade it to kitkat so i can root it and do the searches again.
Also this time it dont manage to find anything.
I dont know if it is because i mad a factoryreset after flashing kitkat with odin. The phone stayed in boot loop so i had to do it.
But when i scan with the different software out there. It finishes the scanreally fast. Dont think it really deep scans the phone in like 2 minutes.
Do you know any software thet REALLY deep scans the phone for recovering mytexts. Or some script for searching after the text files in the phone?
Please hlp me. i reallly need my texts

custom binary blocked by FRP lock? bricked?

Hi, I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to post this but Im having to use someone else's windows phone and its hard to navigate through the site.
My problem is that I tried to root my s6 edge plus using an application called King Root. The install got to 17% and then turned the phone off. When I load the phone up now I just get the message "custom binary locked by FRP lock" in red writing and the phone instantly boots off.
Is there a way to get around this without losing my data on my phone? I have some very important photos that are on there that I really don't want to lose, unfortunately nothing is backed up. I've been researching and apparently this is possible using a programme called Odin? I hope this is possible as I don't want to lose my stuff on my phone.
Any help would be great, thank you.
To be brutally honest if you haven't heard of Odin and you're using Kingroot, you're way out of your depth and you shouldn't be even thinking about rooting your device.
Not being nasty, sincerely. But you need to do a LOT of research.
The only way to rescue your device is to flash a stock firmware via Odin. There are guides on this site, read them and then read them again and again. Your photos are probably gone unfortunately. I would say definitely, but mircles can happen..
Good luck!
Maybe just flashing the stock bootloader may help but once you atart flashing the pda i think your photos may be gone. Unless where ever they are stored doesnt get over written they may be recovered uisng a data recovery app on the play store like gt recovery and the deep scan option.. it still finds photos from 5 new rom installs on my opo

HUAWEI Y6II LYO-L21 Root and Backup

Hi guys,
I'm kind of a noob when it comes to rooting and flashing custom ROM's (I've done it once following a tutorial with an old Samsung tablet I had lying around) and this time, I need to backup ALL the data I have in my personal phone: a HUAWEI Y6II compact LYO-L21.
It's a phone I've been using since 2017 and after I started to get some interest towards Android smartphones, I've realized I made a huge mistake: I've never backed up my phone!
I've backed up some videos, songs, photos, etc like everyone else does, but I've never backed up my messages, call logs, whatsapp and other apps data.
I would've also loved to improve my phone by flashing a custom ROM as well as installing Magisk and TWRP in it BUT, as most of you know, the bootloader is locked by Huawei and it seems there's no way to unlock it (there are some paid services e.g. those proposed by funkyhuawei.club but I can't pay for it by now) .
So my question is: can I back up ALL of my phone data without rooting nor bricking it?
And if it's possible, can I afterwards flash TWRP and root it but keeping the bootloader locked and the stock ROM?
I really don't wanna brick my phone and lose my data so please give me clear instructions.
P.S.: I'm using Linux Mint so if you guys know something I can do on Ubuntu to solve my problem that'll be awesome!
