I had this problem and thought its a bug. Actually it's not. You recalled you had *on* the google services to allow wifi to pin point your location?
Here's how you off it. Go to wi-fi setting. press menu -> advanced, uncheck the *Scanning always available*
That will do.
Thanks a lot!!!!

Thanks,I seem no this....
Hey guys...Not sure what this is, why it's using so much battery, and why it won't let me stop it. I've looked around and have only seen things about miracast... Which I'm not using. So needless to say, I'm pretty confused.
Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

That's the media streamer services. Make sure miracast is turned off.

I did... Weirdly, none of that stuff was turned on. I finally was able to disable the whole dlna app... I guess unless I want to stream media (which I don't) I won't miss it.

If you put this little effort in your topic, then I doubt anyone will help you.

Thank you.
I did but the notification bar is grayed out and I can not make any adjustments.
It seems that one or more apps turns it off.
Would appreciate any more suggestions.
Again, Thanks.
notification bar? Why don't you goto system menu then device tab then sound menu then volume?

I want to keep my WiFi of during sleep to save battery and I can't seem to make it turn off automatically like it's suppose to. I have set it out never be on during sleep and to not allow scanning while WiFi is off but it still seems to scan. I've also tried to disable WiFi calling(t-mobile). I know I can use 3rd party apps but I was hoping to use the existing options. Any idea as to what keeps waking it up?

Press on the battery chart showing in picture no. 2 and see which app is using your battery most. It may be one of your apps triggering the WiFi.

So was keeping network data on at all times in developer options there before or is that with marshmallow? Can't say I remember it being there but may have overlooked.

Well they claim it's too faster switch between data connections. It seems to increase download speeds a bit but that could be a placebo effect.
Are you on latest ota? It has a feature were it will connect and disconnect between networks for better speeds.
