I bought a Metro PCS galaxy s4 that has the T-Mobile 4.3 rom flashed to it. I'd like to downgrade to either an earlier Tmobile rom. Phone is currently not rooted. I do not care about the warranty flag. Any advice you can provide with regards to the downgrade, would be much appreciated. I've used ODIN before, but I found out that ODIN doesn't work with 4.3. Please help.
U cant come back to 4.2.2
I'm reading that I should be able to. Folks are referencing rooting and flashing the South Africa region specific 4.2.2 rom and from there i should be able to flash any rom I want. Is that not the case with my version??

I guess you're stuck with trying it & see what happens. Generally speaking, Joku is right, but, if someone claims it can be done using the method in that thread, then it might be possible. If you're looking for a definite answer, ask the person who suggested the workaround in that thread whether it actually worked for them or not.
Hey Guy Need Help regarding rooting.
I switched from Xperia Z1(Unlocked + root - Did everything with it ) to Galaxy s5, so things are a bit different for me in the Samsung world.
My phone is SM-G900H running 4.4.2 G900HXXU1ANG3 firmware.
I referred to a lot of threads before posting this for reference but didn't get few answers-

But i was confused as i have seen some posts that the phone is not rooting with ANG3 firmware.
I know that warranty will not come back after rooting but in case things went wrong and after tripping knox will i be able to flash the stock firmwares via Odin ?
I also wanted to know what are other demerits after tripping knox like Ota updates and all ?

He wants to downgrade the modem so he can unlock his phone. He asked a similar question in the S4 unlocking thread, which he really needs to read if he hasn't already done so.
I' ve read a lot of threads here but I'm still not sure on how to root my device G901F. Most threads discusses other models with other firmware and I don't want to brick my phone. Please some help!
I'm from the Netherlands and on stock rom with 5.02. Firmware G901FXXU1BOE1. Buildnumber LRX22G.G901FXCU1BPA2. Any help would be very much appreciated.:good:
Anyone? I'm a bit lost and although I've rooted a phone before, this one gets me confused. Towelroot doesn't seem to work for the G901F (??) and I've seen the CF-Auto-Root-kccat6-kccat6xx-smg901f.tar file. Not my buildnumber. Can I use it anyway?
