Have noticed about once a day at random times, my wifi and data signal will disappear when using the phone. I have to switch airplane mode on and back off to get my connections back. Not a major Issue, but slightly annoying.
Anyone else have this problem or know the cause?

I'm having an issue where my wifi icon disappears but I'm still connected to wifi. Also, the toggle is grayed out. Pretty annoying. I'm on the Sprint GS5.

The toggle is greyed out on mine too and cannot switch it back on. The only difference is that I loose wifi and network connection. Mine is o2 UK unbranded handset.
Update: my connections are still active when this happens.

I'm getting the same thing here, the data and wifi icons occasionally disappear and the wifi toggle goes dark (as if it's not connected), but I'm still connected and get data just fine.
Do you reckon this is a hardware or software fault?

I did install adblock (unrooted) for about 30 minutes and then removed it when I first got my phone. Not sure if the problem started before or after.

Its not problem adaway. I test it.
Would be nice to find out the reason why this is happening.

It didn't happen yesterday so will wait for next samsung update and see if that solves the problem. Unless it gets worse then I will factory reset.
update : shortly after I posted this it happened again so I tested the connection and I was still connected to wifi.

No, I stopped looking as I think they only work properly if your rooted.

What's the best way to perform a factory reset?
Update: Just performed a full factory restore. Will let you know how I get on.

So of course I've gone through all the settings to try and make it not randomly turn off I think I figured out that it's the passpoint that keeps turning it on but does anyone know what I can do to make it not turn on after I turn it off? In less then 20 minutes siting here it has turned on 4 times and distributed my connection.

I get these from time to time. Then they go away. I think it's just an error is usage reporting then it fixes it self. Give it a day

It is possible that you uninstall an app recently?

I've been having some issues with my S7 edge, so I exchanged it with T-Mobile. I got the replacement phone and updated it all the way to PD7 without doing anything. I just started disabling a bunch of apps and realized Lookout can't be disabled anymore, even though it's disabled on my original S7 edge. I tried Package Disabler Pro, but the app is saying that it can't be uninstalled. Any ideas?
Disables for me. You might want to try a factory reset. That's what I always do whenever an update or phone replacement comes. Granted I only have about 6 apps on my phone so it's a quick set up lol

When did you disable it though? I have it disabled on the older S7 edge, but I get the feeling that T-Mobile blocked new users from disabling it in PD7.

Ahaha I missed that part somehow
I guess I'll try a factory reset :/
You can disable it if you first disable it through settings - lock screen and security - device administrators first.
Seriously frustrating.
I read somewhere that it is the connection optimizer but I cannot find it for the life of me, it's been weeks now.
Yes it's been updated. No I'm not rooted yet.

I have seen this behavior too. At first I thought it was my Droid Automation triggering incorrectly, but I disabled that and I still had the Wi-Fi turn on.

Could be some app you gave permission to

is it turning on Wi-Fi or is it Wi-Fi scanning? On your gps settings, Wi-Fi scanning is turned on by default under improve accuracy. Try that

Did you guys try checking the T-Mobile app? I think it's the network connection manager or something like that.
My girlfriend had that on her S6. I disabled all of that for her (she isn't rooted though) and she hasn't had a problem since.
On the other hand, I've never experienced the issue for some reason.
