Hey everyone,
I could really use some help.
I falshed aryamod 6.5 on my n9005 lte some days ago and now the wifi is not working and baseband, IMEI are unknown
i think it is due to efs corruption. I tried flashing modem and bootloader and stock lollipop several times but no luck.:crying:
I even tried flashing darkqueen kernal and Wifi.bluetooth.fix.v2.S5.port.roms.by.Filchi756.zip but didnt helped.:crying:
And i dont have any efs backup.
Can anyone plz help me ?
Multiple EFS/ IMEI posts on the forum read them .
Your multiple flashing is only going to make things worse .
No EFS backup try a service centre repair .
darkqueen kernal >> what rom is that for ??

ok than i will stop flashing and i found the darkqueen kernal in a post with this 'Wifi.bluetooth.fix.v2.S5.port.roms.by.Filchi756.zip'.
it was said that it could help fixing wifi problem like not connecting.
And i dont think i could go to the service center due to some problems.

yea no problem flashing anything from odin.
The only thing to do is search for a way to create the efs folder with the imei or take it to a cell repair shop to force flash a stock rom and efs folder.

i cant go to a cell repair shop so can you tell me how to force flash stock rom and efs folder?
Thanks in advance.
Force flashing would require a jtag cable and a programming box like an octopus box. These two things would cost far more than the phone.

Guys I am posting this to warn you guys to have efs backup before messing with your phone as I already messed it up after flashing this mod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1924021
Now my phone is working but there is no signal as IMEI & Baseband is unknown.
So After doing a lil research I repaired it by flashing a stock ROM.
Now my phone is unrooted for now till I found ktool or a working tool to have backup on my PC.
Here's the working tool for efs backup..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1922473
All should Backup their efs before flashing anything to your phone..
Count it as a warning!!!
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Done backup but posted as a warning as its the first time as i messed up with efs.
Everyone should take caution. I think there is something in this N7100 device which causes this.
IMEI & Signal Blank ...
Same here.. In my friend phone signal & IMEI Blank after flasing that mod and reboot.
when we flashed different version of custom rom no use.

Something in that mod must be wiping EFS then, you need to tell the DEV of that MOD asap so he can pull the mod-offline and investigate

Fired From My FireDevice.
This is nothing special. I used to mess with SecPhone.apk to change the layout xmls and recompile. When I messed up with signing the file the result was Unknown baseband no signal and null.
I restored the original SecPhone.apk and rebooted - things went back to normal.
When flashing mods always take a look inside the zip file and backup the files that are going to be replaced.
That said, EFS backup is highly recommended.

If you have efs backup then restore it
Otherwise
Read toolbox in my signature and find efs repair
Still failed then send to service station

Don't do that

Hence always follow the steps as said!
Dr.Ketan's thread clearly states that after rooting 1st thing that must be done is backup your EFS!

What is ANKWONE ???
Wrong IMEI restore backed up EFS folder .
Or take to a service centre if no backup .
But before that you could try reading the ten thousand previous no IMEI/EFS posts .

You seem to have a corrupt efs folder, just restore a backup of you have one.
If you don't have a backup you will need a service at your local service centre. Run triangle away, flash stock, factory reset in recovery and remove any indications of root or custom firmware before hand.

Then your out of luck if you don't go to a service center.
Should always backup the EFS when flashing. I had this on my Galaxy S1 a few days ago and didn't have a backup. Going back to stock fixed it so try that if it doesn't work then goto a service center or put up with it.

It happened after I did factory reset

try patch from dr.ketan and make sure it is not locked by gsm operator - when someone lost phone, operator can lock the IMEI, so you will have useless toy...
Your imei number is generic, you need to restore the backup of your efs partition.

I had an issue recently where my efs was corrupted (my IMEI said unknown). I did not have a backup but a flash of the stock ROM from Samsung using Odin solved my issue. If that didn't work I was going to try a tool called EFS professional that might help you also.

- First try re flash the stock firmware for your device.
- If that doesn't help, try this post.
Gud luck
Note done I tried your frist nd second post also
Your EFS partition has been wiped or corrupted. Did you not backup your EFS with TWRP or another EFS backup solution? If not you likely need to get it repaired by Samsung. But if you flashed MIUI your Knox will be tripped so they might charge you.
Backing up EFS is essential if you're going to mess around with your phone for this exact reason.

Nope, KNOX cannot be reset.
The cheapest solution for you is to find an unlocker near you, or just to buy an Asansam box, http://www.ipmart.com/main/product/...ged,with,2,pcs,cables,,341410.php?prod=341410 . They are not to expensive

If you don't have a efs backup try to install original stock rom to recover efs backup if possible. You can do it by hand renaming .bak files in efs folder but back up everythin before that.
Also your modem may be damaged.
Good luck

Yes u do to change the imie back , your efs folder is damaged and unless u took a back up of it this method is ur best bet . i had your exact same problem and i fixed it by that method . flashing modem wont help cause ur modem is just fine it's your efs folder which contain the imie and serial number.
Modem as in the one that was on the working firmware .
See Modem/ Baseband threads in general section .
Post above is right but under certain circumstances your EFS is ok .
