No systemwide equalizer TW 6.0.1 N910F - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
on N910F 6.0.1 stock or alexandr (with or without permissive kernel and xposed and supersu and busy box) I cannot get any equalizer to work. I asked this in the alexandr thread without luck.
I tried to install viper4android in like 20 different (diferent packs and builds even the way described to work on nougat....) ways without luck. I'd use any eq but not a single one from the playstore works either.
Since the only music I listen to is amazon music which doesnt offer a built in eq I am screwed cause my headphones sound a little muffled.
Is there any way to get an eq to work on N910F TW 6.0 ??
Thanks for ur help.

So I see no one has a functioning EQ right? What a BS.

If you want get working Viperfx use this sound mod.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65887220&postcount=798
It also has Dolby and beats audio
Work perfectly on note 4 910f marshmallow.

On my phone it doesnt work. I already tried thsi mod. Can u personally confirm it works an an 910F 6.0.1?

Danke Bernd. Only mistake was to forget the package thing. I only froze the alive part. Finally after weeks a solution!

Did you freeze or uninstall "package adapt sound" and "sound alive"?

K it worked but now its broken again. Wth is going on? V4a says processing but nothing. First song totally distorted then skip to next and any effect is gone....

I found that phone speaker has functional eq but as soon as I plug the ear phones its gone. And then eq is broken completely....
Sometimes after flash volume ist broken. Its at full level and I cant change it. I suspect xposed could be a reason but I do not want to not use it. Anyone has eq with N910F TW 6.0.1 xposed/busybox?
Sent from my SM-N910F using XDA-Developers mobile app

Yep clean flash. Eq runs in speaker but all breaks immediately and permanent if I plug a headphone. Also booting with them plugged in doesnt do a thing and also compatible and force mode dont change a thing. So weird.

I got to say it's damn easy...
I think Xposed is for stock rom and those who don't want to mod their apks by themselves..
You can give it a try, but is not always working...
Ok ? I'll give it a try!
Thanks!

Permissive kernel with working NFC SM-G900I

Hi just wondering if anyone has been able to have NFC working with a permissive kernel. Ive tried every rom thats compatable with the g900i but every NFC fix i have found changes selinux to enforcing.
Thanks in advance

I'm looking for this as well. Seems like Alliance ROM's OTA update is different from the rest. Now I hope they can just post the fix.
I rarely use NFC, but I did test it once, several months ago and it worked fine with the permissive Phoenix kernel on the 900T. Have you done a Google search? No doubt a search would uncover more current information i.e. whether the intervening firmware updates have changed the situation.

Removes the red/yellow bootup message and fix NFC?
Messages are there but im sure that comes with all permissive kernels. Nfc works and I havnt found any other probs. The reason I wanted this was so I could still have nfc and use ARLiberator, it works great for this

Interesting discovery. All the research I've done on this issue points to the phone using ART. I checked the setting and my phone says it's using dalvik. So I figured maybe I can just try switching it to ART then switching it back. So I switched the setting to ART then reboot the phone, after it came back on I went to that setting and it still says dalvik. I tried it a couple times with the same result. It must be related to our issue somehow, just not sure why or how to fix it.

It looks like it's just the framework that breaks it. When I uninstall the framework it starts working again. I guess no xposed if we want private mode. [emoji20]

When xposed installer is installed on our device private mode breaks. Only option to fix this is to disable and uninstall all molecules and uninstall exposed. I have the sprint varient and this was the only fix. If a custom rom has native mods then I think it shoudl work but as of right now I dont think theres a fix with private mode and xposed installer yet.

Xposed will not run in ART. It will automatically toggle your runtime back to Dalvik if it is installed. This is by design.

Yes the most recent cf-autoroot works fine. TWRP also installs fine. Battery life will be appreciably better due to doze mode. I don't think it will be a problem.

well, if you already rooted, then you can try some stock-base custom ROM.
Just now, I flashed 6.0.1 stock ROM via ODIN.
Now Note 4 has screen off memo! Yay!
CF Auto root works so fine with 910H 6.0.1, so I think I'll stay with stock ROM for a moment.
Everything thing is working fine just try

If you are set up the way you like, then why change? I'm on 4.4.4 with a dark theme, lots of xposed modules, custom fonts, greenify root (which means I don't need doze) , and security via appopsxposed. I don't think marshmallow really offers me anything. Have MM on my nexus devices and prefer 4.4.4 still on the Note.

I dont have it. But I think I saw it somewhere in xda. Try to use google.
Or if you have plenty of internet bandwidth, you can download samfirm (from xda too) to download a stock firmware directly from samsung. And flash it with odin.

Hold if you can. Horrible battery drain on Canadian update (rogers). If you read a bit, all releases are experiencing this. And the culprit is Android System that is using max battery.
No fix reported for this yet.
My phone battery has dropped from full day plus to barely half day at 21% remaining.

It works, but don't have to make a Nintendo account.
I try the apk from Apk Mirror.
To play Mario your phone cannot be rooted. To play with root you have to sign in Nintendo and before playing the game you have to clear app data.
Working fine on n910f with Resurection Remix 5.8.2. Had to use Magisk to bypass SafetyNet though.
Works on my 910f with Stock 4.4.4. But its a crap game imo.
