Hi!
I've just updated my android from 5.0.2 to 6.0.1 using a firmware from sammobile and lost the root I had previously (super user).
I tried installing from cf-root using the version they already have for 5.0.2 and at first it seemed to have worked, since it started to show my phone device's status as custom, and also to show kernel's status at the black start screen with the logo samsung.
Then, I tried changing an app into a system file using Link2SD and the app vanished instead of working again. When I get to install the .apk again, it shows as an update (of something that is not running anywhere) and don't ask any new permission.
I guess the problem is because of the root I used, but I'm not sure. My mobile is dual sim (brazil's trend...) and the app I'm trying to hide is Cerberus (I have the pro version, disguised, but want to make it "blended" as it was before the Android update).
I did the unroot with the SU app, but my device is still showing as a "custom" one at the system's about (the kernel's status is not appearing at initialization tho).
I want to know what to do to fix that and how to properly root the new android marshmallow. If not possible, I even consider downgrading my phone to the previous android until the root is available (security from thieves first, unfortunately!).
Same Here
Doen anyone know if there is other variant rom we can use in a500M
Wait for CF-AutoRoot
Some A5 variants have received the root file for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

I use the 5.0.2 root version in marshmallow and it's working fine for me with xposed and everything else

Not the A500M, yet.
Option 1: Flash CTR o TWRP with Odin. Then, flash SuperSU.zip from recovery.
Option 2: Flash CF-AutoRoot (Lollipop version) with Odin.
PS: If you want more options antitheft, you can use Xposed and GravityBox or Advanced Power Menu modules to disable the Power-Off menu when the screen is locked.
Good Luck
So I can use your "Option 1" to root my device with 6.0.1 even if it's a 5.0.2 method? (I just want to make sure to not brick my phone).
How to Install Viper4Android on Nougat 7.0
Found on : Android.How

Ever since Android 5.0 Lollipop released, getting ViPER4Android to work magic on music played on Android devices has been a challenge for the users. The change of SELinux policy from permissive to enforcing broke ViPER4Android pretty bad.
But soon came a workaround to use ViPER4Android on Lollipop while still running SELinux in enforcing mode (to ensure device security). The trick worked on Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well. But with Android 7.0 Nougat update, folks over at xda have came up with an even easier way to get ViPER4Android working with sepolicy set to enforcing.
For the unknown, ViPER4Android is the mother of all sound MODs available for Android devices. And it’s not device specific. You can install ViPER4Android on any Android device and enjoy rich music experience on your device without spending a single penny on sound component hardware upgrades.

User guitardedhero over at xda has shared a zip file of ViPER4Android that you can install/flash using a custom recovery like TWRP on your Android device. This zip installs ViPER4Android on Nougat without a flaw. We tested it on our Nexus 5X and 6P running the latest builds of Android 7.0 Nougat.
Note: The ViPER4Android files and installation instructions shared on this page might also work for Lollipop and Marshmallow releases of Android.
Grab the recovery flashable ViPER4Android 2.5.0.5 zip file from the download link below and follow the quick instructions to get it working on your Android Nougat device.

How to Install ViPER4Android on Nougat
Make sure you’re rooted and have TWRP recovery installed on your device.
└ For help, follow our guide on How to Root Android 7.0 Nougat.
Download the ViPER4Android_2.5.0.5_guitardedhero.zip file from the download button above and transfer it your device’ internal storage.
Boot into TWRP recovery and install/flash the ViPER4Android_2.5.0.5_guitardedhero.zip file to your device.
Reboot phone.
Download/install a root file explorer app (we recommend ES File Explorer).
└ On ES File Explorer, swipe-in from left and turn on Root explorer feature. And don’t forget to grant root access when asked.
Now using your root explorer app, go to /vendor/etc/ directory on the device and rename audio_effects.conf to audio_effects.conf.bak.
Open ViPER4Android FX app on your phone (it installed when you flashed the zip file in step 3 above).
You’ll get a notification to install V4A driver. Select YES.
It’ll take some time to install V4A driver, and while doing so it might even look like it’s stuck but you don’t worry. It’s doing its job and will finish soon.
└ If Android gives an error that the app has stuck/stopped. Be sure to select the wait option, don’t force close it.
Once you get the Driver installed message on screen, reboot your device.

That’s all. Enjoy ViPER4Android music MOD on your Android device running on Nougat.
Seems like Development has moved onto A.R.I.S.E which takes the best of this and adds stuff on top of that. The ARISE thread include flashable builds and instructions which work perfectly fine on nougat.
Is there a working root method for the Moto G4 (Running Android 7.0) yet?
And I'm not talking about the G4 plus...
I desperately want to break my phone free.
There must be one by now.

G4 and G4 plus use the same method, flash TWRP then elemental x kernel and then you can root it With super su or magisk.

I wanted to try it but I have a problem with the bootloader that I can not unlock because my computer is the amazon version that no one could remove said ads in the latest security update NPJ25.93.14.5, if anyone knows of any solution I will be grateful .

This guide shows you how to root with SuperSU https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...de-root-moto-g4-plus-supersu-android-t3587918
Ensure you've flashed a custom kernel such as ElementalX before rooting, else you'll trip anti-rooting protections built into the stock kernel, which may necessitate a re-flash of your stock ROM. You may wish to use newer versions of SuperSU. Alternatively, if you wish to use magisk for rooting, you can have a look at this guide I've written based on the above link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72496111&postcount=270
I've used this method to root a G4 Plus running NPJS25.93-14-8 (June 2017 stock ROM) with magisk 13.3 and have EX Kernel Manager, Amaze and other root utilities running okay. Furthermore, with the built-in root hiding abilities of magisk, SafetyNet dependent apps appear to run okay. I believe SuperSU has a similar addon to hide root from various detection methods too.
Something I've run into with using the stock ROM with TWRP is that Google Play Store may show an error 0 when attempting to download apps or updating. Seems this is related to permissions issues on the data partition and you may be able to correct them with this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73604008&postcount=19
As mentioned above, the same steps should apply to G4 devices (and has been tested on G4 devices). As usual, unlocking your bootloader will wipe your device (as a security measure) so back up your data and move it off your device. You may wish to back up your SD card if adopted as internal storage (or find a way to save your encryption key). Also, requesting the unlock key from Motorola, regardless of whether you use it, appears to void your remaining service warranty.
Futhermore, once rooted, you will not be able to accept OTA updates, and attempts to do so will soft-bootloop your device unless you boot to bootloader and select 'Start' to boot to system. To accept OTA updates, you'll have to revert back to a clean stock ROM (and of the same build or newer - attempts to revert back to older stock ROMs than what you had, especially if you were previously on the March/June 2017 patch level, have a nasty habit of hard bricking if you took OTA updates).
If you're okay with all that, then good luck rooting

Thanks for this. Yes, I'm okay with all of this (I've rooted my previous phones), I'm aware of the risks and stuff. I'll give this a try ?

Oh, okay. But even still - I think he should be asking the question individually. Not only would he get more help from people but it wouldn't detract from my post.

Thanks so much! Worked perfectly on the Moto G4.
Consider the question closed
On a rooted Moto G5 plus running 5.8.4 RR. How do I flash my stock Moto Apps?
With this (Magisk Module) you can install vendor apps from PlayStore or Manually, but some apps dont launch properly
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-xmlpak-install-vendor-apps-t3701604
Be aware, most of them won't work anyway even if you install them, especially Moto Display and Gestures, as the framework in the stock ROM is proprietary and not implemented in custom ROMs.
Also, custom ROMs already have active display and gestures built-in. Which stock apps are you trying to install?
Are you being frustrated on cannot have root access on your non-rootable g5?
As we know that @Honestly Annoying released a full adb root shell (facing problems when installing supersu, but our friends on China have been researching on quadrooter exploit for root) on all lg g5 varients, however we have no news about the adb root on f700 (maybe some devices are missing out too) devices. We need someone to test it out is it working or now!
Link of how to install adb root:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/guide-adb-root-rw-dm-verity-off-sprint-t3523499
What does it required?
Antirollback v0
Android 6.0 (v10)
If you have upgraded to Nougat, you can check is you device support downgrade to marshmallow by follow the guide below, and report it to us!
HOW TO CHECK ANTIROLLBACK: (By reddit user supamonkey2000)
Copy this: *#546368#*xxx# Replace xxx with your model (850, 831, etc)
Copy it again and paste into Phone Dialer
Call it if it doesnt go automatically
Go to SVC Menu
Go to VersionInfo
Scroll all the way down
If shows antirollback is 0 , which means you can downgrade your nougat device to marshmallow.
Devices that dont have antirollback (aka antirollback=0)
LG F700L v20c (Haven't check the lastest upgrade....but i suggest do not upgrading to the lastest version.)
Please help us to make our lg g5 great again!

I want to try this trick, and im hope fully for lg g5 f700x to can unlock bootloader and root...
