Battery strange depletion

In the last couple of days I started experience strange battery depletion. The battery starts to depletes in a fast rate (fully discharging in 6-8 hours), EVEN while it is just idling, and eventually discharge faster when in use. Furthermore, the phone's chin gets very hot during this behavior. I checked if there are any apps still being run in memory, but there weren't any.
PS: I am running CM6; It happened on both batteries (1150mah and 1600mah)
Any help is greatly appreciated with this issue. Thanks

hats normal in a 2.2 rom because its overclocked really high for speed . you can download set cpu and unoverclock it but it'll be slow

At the very least many of the current kernels support min 122uv but are set higher by default.. you will get better battery if you set it at the lower min even if Max remains high.
Just if you get weird crashes on wake raise the speed some.

all the underclocks etc just dont work for me so i went to a cell phone store and they gave me a better battery that was suppose to last longer then my old and now i get like 6-8 hours charge but i use both so i get about 8-11

well but i don't think its normal for the phone keep running hot while idling, and having the battery depleting very fast... it is also set to be underclocked while the screen is turned off, so it surely does not have to do with clocks.

Quickest Battery Drain ever. What's yours?

Now I know we all like to compare our battery life, brag about it and squeeze as much out of it as we can but how about we compare stats for the quickest battery drain ever?
Mine was
Fully charged 100%
3hours 25min Screen on time
3hours 10min modern combat: black pegasus, Multiplayer over WiFi
Screen brightness 40%
Battery left 10%
So in 3 1/2hours I manager to kill my battery.
What was ur quickest drain ever?

Sounds about right for playing a game for over 3 hours Do that with a laptop and youll get about the same.
Also depends what else you have running in the background.

Hmm I can't remember but i think it was like 4-5 hours on the first day
But I managed to get a 990 mA peak a few days ago

Under 2 hours
Using CM7 without battery tweak and a cheap Chinese battery
I was watching Big Bang Theory mixed with browsing the net.
I knew the Chinese Ebay batteries would be bad but I didnt think they'd be that bad!

Screen on (max brightness)
Gaming (Doodle Dash Pro)
Downloading (Mikes newest ROM)
Calling (Speakers)
Bluetooth & GPS activated (& active)
battery empty in 1:30 hours
(was for battery calibration)

Somewhere between 3.5 to 4 hours to 10%. I had screen brightness to 32% but the gaming time was for, almost, the entire period. If not games, it was surfing.

about 6-7 hours... was a cm7 nightly

Battery Charging temperatures, why such varriance among phones?

My first 2 phones barely heated up when charging, idle battery temps would range from 29-30c while charging only added a mere 3c to its temps, Gaming with dungeon hunter 2 HD or any other HD game does not even bring the battery temps more than 36c which only felt as warm as playing Angry birds, Now Im on my 3rd phone and battery charging state is at 41-42c which feels significantly warmer than my first 2 phones, also gaming make it go as high as 45.
Has anyone who has sent back the phone a few times noticed this issue?

I guess its quite rare for anyone to go through more than exchanges for the phone.

[Q]Poor battery when using phone

With light usage (mostly in standby, using it for several minutes) my HD2's battery lasts for whole day.
But as soon as I start using it, battery will dry really fast. For example, today it went from about 90% to 0% (phone turning off automatically) in less than 2 hours while playing Plants vs Zombies.
Is that normal?

Is there anyone has the problem? when I use the phone with 3G mode outdoor, the phone will easily get hot, yes, so hot, and the cpu will get high rate. and you know, the battery droping sooo fast.
6 hous from 100% to 1%！and there is doing nothing, just in my bag!
