Our lovely Moto E xt1022 condor now has all three android updates lollipop, marshmallow and latest nougat on CM offical/unoffical.
i wish to see the performance on bench marking for all three android variants pl share your device xt1022 performance bench mark antutu ,quadrant etc
I am out of town at the moment, but I'll soon post the review of bemchmark of all the 3 roms.
Pls do note that the performance and the bemchmark score will vary on cm12,cm13 and cm14 on every moto e(condor) .
This is because the bemchmark score is dependent on the number of apps you have installed, no of widgets, which gapps you are using, whether xposed is installed or not, etc , etc

i was thinking that fresh install of CM 12,13,14 with default apps of CM's will give better performance benchmarks of each on same hardware...i am also trying:good:

Hi all ,
Recently i buy a Jiayu G4S (MT6592+2GB Ram) . i run Antutu benchmark (ver. 4.5.1 ) and i get a low score of 16xxx . I watch some videos that run Antutu benchmark in G4S and get result of 24xxx - 26xxx . i'll check the the system info. & the processor is MT6592 .
Why the benchmark result is different in same device?
Thank you.
I perfectly understand that antutu give just numbers and that these numbers are not what defines whats best, but there are people out there that more or less care about those numbers

no,hydrogen os was smoother and faster than oxygen os and the version of h2os on the video is not even the latest, besides the numbers of antutu h2os uses phones internals better...
keeping that aside ui is totally different but I believe as easy to use as oxygen
( I now run again on oxygen os as I try to find how to install the latest h2os)
I didn't want to open new thread that's why I psots here but I got a question
Trying to flash H2os teamwin says this rom is for oneplus and this phone is onyx and it does not install, anyone know what I need to change on the updater script to make it work?
This is an invitation to all developers, compilers and testers of Moto X (2014).
We know that probably our device will not receive officially Nougat update and this is really bad, assuming that our strong Snapdragon 801 can smoothly run without any problems.
My suggestion it's to all developers and compilers from any country work together to sync AOSP from Nougat, adapt device tree and bring up our first AOSP 7.0 rom.
I know that CyanogenMod is working on CM14 for victara... But the idea is bring up pure Android. I never see any pure AOSP rom for our device and would be awesome if we have this now. CM14 maybe will delay a bit and I think that all users here want to feel Nougat experience
Some rumours at internet had saying that Snapdragon 800/801 will not have drivers for Nougat... But I know that this is possible because Nexus 5 had Snap 800 and developers already bring an functional AOSP (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/orig-development/wip-aosp-nougat-nexus-5-t3446875 ). Our developers can check device tree from Nexus 5... See their adaptions in device tree for working Nougat and try to do the same for our Moto X. Maybe disabling Vulkan API for now and we can use same drivers and device tree of Marshmallow!
That's all guys, thanks for reading and we are really expecting an AOSP Nougat for our Moto X before CM14!
The One Plus One (Snapdragon 801) has AOSP Nougat build. Among other devices. The Moto X (2014) is a smaller development community. I was not even expecting CM to build CM14 for this device (see below). It's going to take time
We haven't yet got a Snapshot build (stable release) of Cm13. Small steps.

I agree, we have small team of developers. And this one more objective of this post: attract more developers.
I think that Moto X doens't have too much developers because we had officially updates since Android 4.4... Numbers of people that goes to custom ROMs is really minimal, because the stock of Motorola doens't give reasons to search custom ROMs (like bloatwares or lags).
But now, we are going to road of needing custom ROMs. Now we have more reasons to search for these ROMs, because we'll probably not receive Nougat. Moto X2 XDA Forum go clog of peoples trying to got Nougat.
I hope for a "pure" aosp too, like the "fake rom" for Nexus 4.

Dan(Invisiblek) is working on CM14 for Victara. http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/project:CyanogenMod/android_device_motorola_victara+branch:cm-14.0
and our CM13 Nighly builds is very close to a Snapshot build NO BUGS for me xt1092 very stable as Snapshot build.
Yes it's true . I have been using the nightly builds of CM 13 for Victara and it runs really smoothly. I would encourage developers to work on the Nougat ROM for Victara. We will appreciate it. Thanks
I really hope to see Nougat in this phone, sadly I have no knowledge to help in development, but for sure I will test as it become usable material (its my daily phone, so would be nice that alarm at least works as expected)
We already has an bootable CM14 guys! here's link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68555035&postcount=100

Bro srry for that
But of Aex is also awesome but the treble whic make us trouble after few day.
This was not my opinion but some of user of Aex told me about & it is real .
That is why the Jaguar, Bootleggers and some more are not updated till now
Because they also now there effect.
So that's why i preper this 2 rom.
Try it ones for 10 days & till me the experience about it.
Now i also on Bootleggers rom and it is awesome no lag .
But compare to Jaguar rom , Jaguar rom become hot some time while doing multitasking or some high end game ,Eg (PUPG).
But then also it is stable .
And my opinion is in Oreo rom is Bootleggers Rom is only awesome & daily driver for you. Because my day also have this zuk+ and i flashed the rom on March; till now they don't have any problems and better battery life .
It give us 6+ on dual 4g sim & with some whatsapp or basic Apps which my dad use it.
To thread creator, if you had tried latest Aex 5.4 rom with nameless kernel.. then your opinion would have been different... getting 7+ hrs of SoT, 1 hr of calling & 10-12 hrs of Stand by time out of 85% juice at moderate usage.. i dont play heavy games.. all i can say that Z2 plus + Aex 5.4 + Nameless kernel is f**king awesome combo & an unbeatable one.. Im not one of those Pubg freaks.. but yes plays subway or real cricket sometimes..

Oh Thank you so much :svetius Bro your suggestions are so important to me . I also read the AEX thread and found that some people reported different problems.so I'm afraid that if the project treble one doesn't work well and it is also hard to go back to the non-project treble rom.
I've considered the Jaguar rom before , but I do like the Oreo UI and I found that Jaguar rom is different with stock Oreo UI . Is the main theme color green ???
I wonder that if the 0411 build of AEX 5.4 works good which is the last build before project treble . May you give me some suggestions?
I learn from your words that bootleggers rom is so perfect and I will give it a try . Hope it would suits me

H2os is the best room out there. No Oreo or nougat can match it, it's a struggle to set it at first but if you set everything well then it just nails down in every aspect.
For pubg lovers , 14% for 1hr 3 minutes.
Average battery without games gets around 6.5 hrs.

I have the same variant as you, and honestly, I haven't had any Pie based ROM run all that well. Even fresh installs seem to have issues with opening apps. They can take a couple of seconds to open, and sometimes just give up entirely and crash back to the launcher.

So a little update. After answering your post, I tried PixysOS this evening (Along with MindTheGApps, but that might not be important), and it seems to not have had any of the issues I experienced on the other Pie ROMs I gave up on. I am gonna leave it on my phone through tomorrow, and see if it's good as a daily driver. I have high hopes for it so far.

Hi, I have the same variant (xt1680) and I was running ArrowOS (PIE) "reasonably" well (never tried games though) but it's usable for the daily driver. I've read that crDroid is the one that works best with our Potter variant but I couldn't try PIE version because it doesn't work with encrypted data partition (and for risk/benefit, I'm not going to decrypt).
I went back to Stock Oreo, the one with aroma installer found in some other thread. It works best than all the others.
PS: Another one that I've tried months ago was AEX Oreo, I got the best performance with this rom and also great preinstalled configuration...but it was abandoned

I'm on PE by GtrCraft, but not the CAF variant. I don't know what CAF means. Edit: Just found this thread about it. Seems like I should try CAF as well. I wonder if I can flash the CAF version over the current AOSP version I have running now.
Does the Drunk kernel make a big difference? Should I give that a shot before flashing stock?

CAF is supposed to run better on qualcomm chipsets, so I decided to give it a try.
Drunk kernel comes within this rom, but a new version came out on 25-03 and ROM's latest update was on 12-03.
Maybe you can flash everything together, but I did it like this:
1 - Flash rom, boot system.
2 - Flash kernel's latest version, boot system again.
3 - Flash magisk if you want root.
hello, I also have the 32/2 variant, I have android 8.1 oreo stock, bootloader unlocked and root with magisk. my question is:
I go for a custom rom 9.0, or do I stay in stock 8.1?
Thank you

Sorry I didn't reply so soon, I ended up spending the weekend with it. Overall, it was the best performing Pie ROM I have used to date. The battery life is a little bit worse than stock, but still good enough for me to make it through a day with minimal need to top off. My biggest concern, and what made me eventually go back to stop is that it has to kill background tasks a lot. If I switched through enough of my chat apps, I'd eventually lose my now playing music, or in progress Maps navigation. If you're not a heavy app user, or not constantly switching between them, I'd say the experience was well enough. If you have the spare time, and make a full backup beforehand, I'd say it's worth a try, as your experience as a user might be a bit different from mine.
Thank you everyone for all the input, it was definitely helpful.
After much tinkering and testing this past weekend here are some things I found.
Lux seemed to be slowing my phone down quite a bit, so I am no longer using that.
My entire device was encrypted. This may have been slowing it down a bit also. Switching ROMs with encryption enabled was a small road block. At first the newly flashed OS wouldn't work (was stuck at boot animation). I had to format and wipe all the partitions, then flash the ROM.
I ended up liking Pixel Experience the best of the different ROMs I tested. I am on the latest version, with magisk root. Since I had to format and wipe, I flashed the aroma stock rom first (linked in one of my previous posts), then the pixel experience rom, then magisk.
So far things are running well, much quicker/snappier than last week. We will see how it holds up over time. I may post again in a month or so since it seems like the lagginess can slowly build over time.

In my opinion, just stick with Stock Oreo. It has the best performance/battery ratio than all the other custom roms in our 32/2 variant (with exception of PE Oreo, but was abandoned).
I didn't find any sensible improvement or feature in PIE that makes me unencrypt my phone, making it unsafe to carry on the streets. What's more, most of the maintainers of the Potter known custom roms are students from India, which have the 64/4 GB version so no rom targets our 32/2 GB model (at least no rom I know of)
You will also get a worse camera, unless you install gcam of course, but it happen that its unstable and more with 2GB ram. Maybe you can get better pics with this one when you don't have a force-close, very laggy, and you'll have to tweak with Kernel Adiutor to reduce the number of sudden closes this app has.
Good luck!
