No that is not true because i have started that thread and FYI initially they told me that it is not in their policy to release kernel sources, but later on i have created Heat by whatsapp group and keeping that thread on first page of le2 page on forum . so i am suggesting to put some pressure on leeco by sending them messages and being in touch by conversation etc.

I'm not a developer lol (but i'm interested on developing a rom or custom kernel), but there are still active developer for mi pad in some russian forum, it is also available in official MIUI forum, just kindly visit it if you want some news about it.
But i wish some devs here in XDA are willing to take the development on Mi Pad, at least we can hope so :fingers-crossed:

As I was stumbling upon the Chinese MIUI forum, I found that one developer with the username of "xiaobai112220", has created a CM13 rom for the Mi5s!
[PS: I am totally not a developer, I am just here sharing the news, so if there is any complaints, do not send messages to me about it.]

To be frank it is still new, and there are bugs for sure as I have tried it for just awhile.
I am not going to directly post the download link here as it may seem a bit like plagiarism and such.
What I can say is, downloading it is a pain as there are Chinese words throughout the process, and you need a Baidu account for download. So only proceed at your own risk~
[Tip: Use google translate]
For people who are interested, just go to the link, log in with your MIUI account that you used on the en.miui.com forum (it will work), and comment on the post so that the link will be revealed.
As you may see a link, and two Chinese words called 密码, the letters after the two words are the password for the download. When you got into the download page, you would actually need a Baidu account and its downloaded install on your pc, in order to download it. Do let me warn you that the download was slow for me, maybe its due to Baidu's free account limitation.
Happy flashing, peeps. I will try my best to 'assist' you on the comments section below on the downloads. However I am not always free so yeah.
[PPS: Do support the developer if you can, as he might have updated versions to provide you if you donate to him, I am quite uncertain.]

What I meant is that Cyanogen Mod is closed down. . Still, if we get the sources, there are other ROM distros, like Paranoid Android...

No. They forked it, most of them were developers at CM Inc., but its not CM with another name. It's a new project with the CM codebase.

Never gonna buy asus phones , they are not even given the link for beta update and phone with customize os are already pushing stable pie update to their phone.

Most likely. Hope there are devs though who would be interested in working with whatever BS Team would provide. Not a dev here, so I wouldn't really know. I just tried reaching out to BS to provide ROMs.

Guys i contacted them asking for kernel sources and unlocking bootloader and their answer was disappointing....

Mi A2 is ahead release than S10 series. Meaning the newest release phone is more priority by the phone manufacturers to update the Android OS weather if this is Android One or Custom UI.

Dude, there are several custom roms available since 4 days from launch of Q. Go ahead and install it and use Q till the official A1 release by xiaomi. Don't expect much from Xiaomi tbh.
