The current update G930PVPU2APH7 from 9/14/16 is failing at 32% every time I try to update it. It does download fine, reboots into like stock recovery to update, gets to 32% and then fails. I read somewhere that maybe clearing cache in the stock recovery could help, haven't tried that yet, but will. Note that I was rooted, but went back to stock via odin flash method. Does previously being rooted matter? Any idea why? Or any ideas on what to do so I can update? Anyone else having any issues?
I think it has to do with me getting the E:failed to mount /data (Invalid argument)... Anyone confirm that?
EDIT: I know this isn't the issue, since my wifes phone updated just fine and she get the same error when shutting down or rebooting phone in recovery.

Having the similar issues my phone did update the mic and the camera stopped working, did a hard wipe and now it will not boot past recovery. Ran the most current firmware through odin but will not take the firmware and fails out each time.

Hello
I already saw 2 similar posts/questions but nothing seemed really to help, people just somehow managed to make it work. miraculous
I have a backup so i restored after having this issue without any problems. But still I want to use my custom ROM
Coming from Rayglobe 3.2 I updated to the latest TWRP x.x.3.3. (i think), however. When wanting to flash the ROM, it says in the console that it was unable to mount /system. In the mount setting I can't click on /system neither.
It stays in a loop, saying it is flashing the ROM, but nothing happens.
I know how TWRP on G2 can take forever, especially when wiping. But this is a real loop as far as I can tell. Since I updated TWRP, wiping doesn't take much time neither.
Did anyone have a similar issue and/or a solution?
Thank You
Nexus 4 with stock (originally 4.4.2), which wouldn't update to 4.4.3, due to TWRP being installed, so when 4.4.4 came around, thought I would download and flash myself. Not a huge expert, but have certainly flashed several phones successfully previously.
Initially using the Nexus Root Toolkit, unrooted etc, downloaded the correct file from https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images, tried to update, and would not write the radio file (waited for ages), tried to do using adb etc, no go.
Finally downloaded the 4.4.2 image, and using fastboot, this successfully did everything up to userdata, erased userdata successfully, and sent file, but never completes writing. (writing 'userdata'...) If I reboot, just gets stuck on the 4 circles.
Have installed CWM and tried doing a factory reset, but can not mount data....
Anyone able to assist?
Thanks

Panic over...
Perseverence seemed to pay off. Just did more of the same, and tried installing the userdata by itself. Seems to have worked.
But now am stock, and still doesn't seem to want to install the updates....
Well, thought it was stock, but the latest OTA didn't install. Don't really know why, as I wasn't watching, but it did the download, then kicked off the install, but when I came back to it, was just sitting at the home screen, no messages and the update hadn't happened - still sitting on 4.4.2.
I had flashed 4.4.2, and I thought the only bit that hadn't worked was the userdata, which I flashed separately, recovery has been flashed to stock recovery...
Why hasn't it updated?
And how can I tell if 'everything' is stock?
Thanks.
I had an error in judgement and installed the OTA on a rooted and xposed out phone. Now the phone keeps booting into recovery to try and install. It but the screen just flashes the installing update bug droid every few seconds. Battery pulling just gets me back to the same screen. Is there a way to abort the installation?
Have you tried clearing cache in recovering mode?

Couldn't really get into recovery...it would auto boot into the the botched OTA update in recovery. I ended up flashing the firmware over Odin which did the trick.
Hey, people.
I've looked for another threats on this, but seems like others really don't work, or I did something wrong.
So, I had Cyanogenmod for 6 months in this device but I wanted to reset it to stock rom. So I flashed it using Odin and, it was failing all the time for some authentication error. I flash stock recovery to if it would do any difference but no. I installed back TWRP and it was saying "E: Unable to mount '/data'" and '/ storage' too.
Now I cant even boot cyanogenmod because it never quits of "starting apps" after the boot loading.
Soooo... What should I do to resolve this?
Please any details? Did you try to reflash TWRP? Where did you find stock firmware?
You know i flash my device through odin a plenty of time and had no problem at all.

The first issue I started to notice after rooting via Odin & TWRP was when trying to flash the iOS and WP ROMs from this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/3oss-project-samsung-galaxy-tab-4-7inch-t3081478 , it would fail. I was able to successfully flash the Google ROM from same post. I believe it was with one of the other ones that it even said successful yet when i went to reboot said no OS installed. So, I figured update my TWRP to newest version, maybe that was the problem. Well after updating, now when i go to wipe/factory reset it either says unable to mount or it doesnt even make it that far and reboots system. I tried flashing PIT file with Odin and issue persists. Everything still works smoothly but any help fixing this issue would be much appreciated as I do not want to dirty flash anything. Thanks in advance.
So now...after flashing stock firmware, it boots all the way to nook screen (right after samsung logo) and stops. I can boot into TWRP but it still says unable to mount data. Also, in TWRP when i click mount, the only one already checked is cache. I can manually select all others except data. When i go to install, the internal sd has absolutely nothing on it...really hope i didn's completely mess it up, sometimes my eagerness to learn gets the better of me. Thanks again for any help!
I have the same issue, im stuck
