Hey guys, I know much about roms and kernels but i think i missed something.
Can somebody tell me that do a kernel have to be based on the same version of rom. Like BH6 is a version of base? Does it have to be based on that to work? And will earlier versions of kernel based on below bh6 work on bh6 based roms?

Custom ROMs
A stock ROM is the version of the phone's operating system that comes with your phone when you buy it.
A custom ROM is a fully standalone version of the OS, including the kernel (which makes everything run), apps, services, etc - everything you need to operate the device, except it's customized by someone in some way.
Thanks but i know that what iam asking is like this thread
It says su kernel and he add so and so..... What is this kernel for or for what rom or what its use?

Title says it all.
I flashed my first rom (AICP) and im digging it. I want to play around with multiboot tho.
Thanks in advance
You didn't need to start a thread for this. You could have asked this in that ROM's thread only.

Well according to @Vatsal, it does not.
What do you guys think is the fastest rom that you have used?
Also it should be daily driver with moderate battery.
I don't know why...
But, debloated stock ROM combined with any custom kernel and GearCM-based ROMs are the fastest, if you ask me.

AOSP with Layers or Dirty Unicorns 10.x
Hey,
I searched a bit on the forums but couldn't find one. So I ask if anyone knows a recent Nougat AOSP build or can anyone make one?

Find the OnePlus 2 Android 7.0 ROMs here.
The AOSP is only for Nexus devices, our OP2 is supported by CAF which is supported by Snapdragon.
So yes CM14 for now is aosp and caf based with very minimal cm features.
